We got on our own capsule which was...great I guess.
"Now don't worry, Gerard. I'll be here for you all the way." I pat him on the back to comfort him.
"I'm fine Carol." I took his hand and they were drenched in sweat.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, now let's enjoy the view." He went to the edge of the capsule and looked out as we went higher and higher, "Heh, I'm actually...excited." He said cheerfully.
"That's the spirit." I joined him and looked at the view, "Oh look down there. That guy dressing as a tin man is finally moving."
"Isn't he mean to keep still until someone puts a coin in his tip jar?" He asked. I shrugged.
Tin man's POV
"Give me back my tip jar!"
"It's not like you earned it. You just sit around all day! Loser!"
Carol's POV
"o0o0o come here Gerard. Look at the lake...or is it a sea?"
"I think it's a lake. It's beautiful, just like you." He flattered me. I blushed, "Are you blushing?" He said reminding me of the time we danced together on tour. I laughed.
"Hey, look! We're at the top now." I said. Gerard turned to face me. His sweaty hands held onto mine, "Don't worry, Gerard. We're safe inside this capsule." I assured him. Gerard laughed and shook his head.
"No Carol..." I raised my eyebrow then faced him, "I'm actually not afraid of heights. Just needles." He knelt down and took out a little velvet box from his pocket. I covered my mouth. My hand was still cupped in his hands and he melted my heart with his smile, "Carol Mitchell, I love you so much. Will you marry me?" Butterflies were racing around in my stomach and my heart was beating out of my chest. Say yes dammit! Gerard stood up with a worried look on his face, "So...will you?"
"Yes!" I shrieked and jumped on him. He let out a sigh of relief and grinned, "I love you, Gerard Way!" I said and planted a kiss soft lips.
"We're about to take your picture now." The voice said. We ignored it and kept kissing. He then pulled away and put the ring on my finger.
We went to the souvenir shop and looked for the picture that was taken of us. We bought the fridge magnet of us both in the capsule.
"This will be staying on my fridge for the rest of my life." I said.
"Na uh, it'll be staying on mine."
"Who cares, we'll be staying in the same house anyway."
"Good point." He said.
Back in America-the wedding day
"Oh God, I'm so nervous." I said while Amanda blushed my cheeks.
"Don't worry darling." Amanda assured. I looked out the window and saw lots of fans crowding around the church. I sighed. Amanda followed my eyes, "I think the security guards will take care of the fans." Amanda pulled my hair and I winced.
"Ouch!"
"Sorry!" She patted my ridiculously big hair.
"Can't I just leave my hair down?" I groaned. Anna gasped.
"You're not gonna look daggy for your wedding hon." She laughed. I rolled my eyes and looked at my reflection. I couldn't believe this, I'm actually marrying the sweetest guy. I felt like I was the luckiest girl in the history of the world. Mom came in with an enormous smile on her face.
"Carol! I'm so happy for you darling. I never thought the day would finally come!"
"Oh thanks, Mom." I said sarcastically. Anna, Amanda and Kat laughed.
"Oh I didn't mean it in a bad way." She chuckled.
"I took long breaths outside the cathedral doors.
"Gerard's probably feeling the exact same way." Dad said.
"Easy for you to say, your wedding's over and done with." I whispered. The organ started to play, "Oh God." I said nervously. Dad thread his arm through mine.
"Come on, Carol. This is meant to be the best day of your life." Dad was right. The doors opened and I waited for the flower girl and page boy to go down. Then the bride's maids. I kept wishing Chuck would be here to see this.
"I am." Chuck's voice met my ear. I turned around. There he was in a suit smiling back at me, "I'm happy for you. Now I must go. Kurt Corbin is waiting for me."
"Wait Chuck!" I yelled, but he poofed away.
"Carol, come on. Let's go." Dad said.
"Throw the bouquet to me!" Anna yelled.
"No! Me Carol! I'm your bestest friend." Amanda pushed Anna away. I turned around and threw the bouquet then turned around to see who caught it. To my surprise it was Kat who caught it. Gerard and I laughed. He hugged me and kissed me on the forehead.
"I love you more that life itself." He whispered into my ear.
So there we go. Even the lowest of the low can have their happy ending. Oh, I'm not talking about Gerard. I'm talking about myself, I used to be a drinking, unemployed couch potato. Someone needed to teach me how to be a girl and now I'm the happiest woman in the world. And it goes to show that that dreams really do come true.
I'm sure you're wondering what happened to the gang afterwards.
Well a month after we got married, Kevin and Kat got engaged. I didn't think it would really happen. So next time you're at a wedding by golly! You better catch that bouquet...or run away from it. Whatever floats your boat.
"No! It's my turn to catch the bouquet." Anna yelled.
"Na-uh!" Amanda shoved her to the other side of the cathedral.
A dog ran away with the bouquet in it's mouth. Within the next ten years I was blessed with two children. Samantha and Max. When Gerard is on tour, Alicia and Kat would help me take care of the kids while I help them take care of their own. Nevertheless, Gerard always took time out to spend time with us.
"Maxy boy!" Gerard cheered and picked the toddler up. He gave him a tummy raspberry and Max shrieked. He turned to Samantha and kissed her forehead.
Knock knock
I opened the door. It was Anna and Amanda. I sighed.
"We came to see little Maxy and Sammy."
Megan...let's just say she won't be bothering us anymore.
"Hey sailor." She said to a sleazy (but good-looking) guy.
"Hey hot stuff. Wanna come back to my house?"
"Sure."
o0o0o nasty. She got locked in that guy's wardrobe.
The band became more successful and I'm certain they will go down in rock history. Chuck occasionally popped back now and then to visit his niece and nephew. Not that they could see him.
"I can't believe that in ten years time my sister would be married to Gerard Way and have two kids."
"Why is that so hard to believe?"
"I just never thought the girl who was screaming, 'Oh my God, I love you Gerard Way' would have him saying, 'I love you more than life itself' fuck! I didn't even have that chance with Alex." A clap of thunder rocked the house.
"Whatever. Wanna play checkers?" I said.
"Sure."
THE END
