Dying in the Rain
Chapter 8 : Dying in the Rain Ch.5 Date With The Vampire Part 2
This is the 2nd part to the date.
We entered the restaurant and I saw the most beautiful thing ever. There were purple drapes hanging in random places, a million candles, and some inscence sticks burning with the scent of cinnamon. In the middle of everything was a candlelit dinner with a bouquiet of flowers in the middle. I loved it, all of it.
"It's...beautiful. You went through all of this foor me?" I asked.
"Yeah, you're special." he said.
I let a smile form on my face. I was...specail? Wow, that's the nicest thing anyone's ever said to me.
"I love the scent. Cinnamon, my favorite." I said, closing my eyes and inhaling the smell.
"I know. I had a vision you would like it. And I had a vision you would look like...this." he ended.
"Then...your reaction?" I asked.
"You looked better in person." he said.
I turned a dozen shades of red. I looked...beautiful? Oh, I'm gonna melt.
"Let's sit down." he said.
"Uh-huh..." I said at a loss for words.
He gave a puzzled look like he didn't understand what it meant. Finally, I just gave a small nod. He took my hand and led me to the table. Being the gentleman he is, he pulled the chair out for me. As he sat, he poured some wine into my cup. I looked at the cup, no, glared at the cup. I hated wine.
"What's wrong?" he asked.
"I hate wine. Do you have anything else to drink?" I asked.
"Yeah, i have water." he said, and poured it into another cup.
We ate silently. The food was delicious! Finally, James stopped chewing. I didn't notice until i looked up, too. He was staring at me. Ohmygod, I have something in my teeth.
"Can I show you something?" he asked.
"Sure." I answered cheerily.
"Give me your hands." he ordered.
I placed my hands in his. His palms were cold, but comfortable.
"It's a vision I just had. I thought you would like it." he said smiling.
"Now, close your eyes." he ordered. I obeyed the command.
The vision started. We were sitting at this same table. Actually, I think the vision took place tonight. We sat staring at each other. We started leaning towards each other. Finally, we kissed. I opened my eyes and smiled. And then, it happened. We sat starring at each other. Then, we started leaning towards each other. And finally, we kissed.
His lips were cold, too, but I couldn't pull away. I felt his hand come up to my neck. I took my hands and placed them on his shoulders. We sat there, kissing, for what seemed to be a very long time. My lips started to get numb. so I had to pull away. He nodded in approval.
"How was that?" he asked.
"Perfect." I answered, smiling.
Then, came the crash. Glass flew everywhere. I ducked under the table. And that's when I heard the voice.
