Chapter 3 : Chapter Two: Once a girl, now a fishgirl?
A shaft of sunlight hit Ellise's face as she woke up on a beautiful July morning. She could smell the greasy bacon sizzling in the spacious kitchen down stairs. Ellise finally dragged herself out of her comfortable bed and climbed down the spiral staircase. "Good morning, do you know what day it is?" Grandfather asked. "Of course, its trading day!" Ellise replied enthusiastically. "Why don't you finish loading the ship while I set the table?" Granfather suggested. "Right." Ellise answered as she skipped outside. It was a humid day, already beads of sweat formed on Ellise's forehead as she lifted crates onto the deck of the enormous ship. Seagulls flapped wildly around the mast and landed on the crimson railings of "The Mership." That was what Grandfather called thered ship. It was going to be a long day Ellise thought, however, Ellise was unaware that a pair oftopaz eyes were watching her from the pile of rainbow colored rocks near thesandy shore.
