Ice Behind the Burning Flames (Axel) ~Ch. 11~

"Aura, are you sure you're ok though?" Axel asked once more, the same question he had been asking for five minutes while they talked about other things. "I mean.. in front of someone else..."
"I'm fine!!! Stop caring so much, aiyiyi!" Aura nudged him. "I'm fine... He helped me." Aura examined Saoku once more who was taking in the situation where a confused expression. "Saoku, this is my friend Axel. Axel, meet Saoku."
"Konbanwa," Axel shook Saoku's hand. "Aura, I think we should get back..." A serious suspicious tone snuck into Axel's voice as he pulled his hand back, staring Saoku in the eye.
"B-But he's like me! He can't be a foe, he told me what my transfomation IS!" Aura protested.
"... A little longer." When did I start falling for that look...? He sighed and rubbed his forehead. "But we need to get back soon, though."
"Right, Saoku then... Could you pease continue our conversation that we started before Axel bust threw the door and..." Shooting daggers at Axel, she pushed the hair strands that lay on the floor around with her foot. "If you're one of the nobodies like Russel, what does that make me? What does that make... Axel, too?"
"Aura..." Axel quietly spoke before sitting down on the bed next to her. They're talking about nobodism? I can't miss this...
"Russel was a nobody that just spawned from somebody. I don't quite get it now, but I think spawned nobodies have the ability, depending on who their somebody was, to adapt and grow feelings like nobodies born from nobodies. Did I lose you?" Saoku paused but went on as Axel and Aura shook their heads. "However, the only nobodies that suffer some side effects such as transformation... are the ones born from nobodies."

"So you're saying that I have... a mother...?" Aura asked herself more than Saoku before shaking her head fiercely. "No way! I had a somebody! She was excactly like me! S-She was... I spawned from her! I had to! I think... She tossed me away when I became of no use to her."

"Are you sure...?"

"Y-Yes! Positive...?"

"It doesn't matter!" Axel rose to his feet bitterly. "It doesn't matter what type of nobody we may be! It doesn't matter that Aura was spawned or came from birth! What matters is, how can we stop the transformation!? Besides that, Aura's exactly like the rest of us!" Aura watched him with admiration. "Aura, you've been my friend since you-know-when... And if it's possible you experience more feelings and pain, then you're blessed. if you laugh knowing its true, then it's fine with me."
"Axel, are you worried that if I find out I'm not like you, then we won't be friends?" With those words from Aura, Axel's face grew red. "That's not true! I trust you more than you-know-who! I told you so! You'll always be my prank-loving bad chef slightly perverted ginger, it's not like we just met yesterday." Aura strolled past Saoku and Axel. "In the meantime, I'm quite sure some people at the 'O' 13 will be very displeased if we don't show up soon right?"
"..." Axel grinned his familiar chesire cat smile. "Yeah!"
"Bye Saoku! Thanks for everything, I won't take this event as nothing!" She waved off with Axel following behind cheerfully. Once again he waves off the situation... It's kinda a good quality though I think...
"Am I really that bad of a chef?"
"Yup. Terribly spicy."
"Perverted?"
"Naturally. You're a guy."
"Oh come on! Ginger!?!"
"Only a little!" Aura turned to face him with a wide smile too big for her face and holding thumb and index finger to indicate amount. Axel smiled quietly as she laughed and placed his hand on her head. "Huh? Axel?"
"You're so kawaii!" He hugged her, catching her off guard. "But not as cute as when you're mad Aura."
"H-Hey! Pervert! Lemme go!" Aura blushed. As Axel released her and opened a portal, Aura zoned out in thought as they passed through. Saoku, maybe Axel and I are the nobodies.... who develop feelings? A warm fluttering feeling invaded her stomach as she observed Axel from the corner of her eye. Because if we aren't... why do I feel this strange feeling?
