Revenge Isn't Always The Right Thing
Chapter 8 : Revenge Isn't Always The Right Thing
I'M BACK! IT'S AMBIE! So yeah...here's chapter 8. I hope SOMEBODY is enjoying this story! Well...that's enough of this, just enjoy! I DO NOT OWN 'NARUTO'...but like the past seven chapters Tessaria is mine along with Viola and Unohaiti.
Tessaria was still walking through the village, but she wasn't as aware as she had been. She was tired due to the massive amount of chakra she had lost in her previous battle with Riago, the "Quicksand Pit" used a HUGE amount of her power.
Damn...Note to Self: don't use Quicksand Pit unless it's an emergency.
Tessaria sighed and shook away her weakness. "I can't afford to be slacking. There are definately more of them." She said to herself and grabbed a kunai clone. She knew it was weaker than an original, but she didn't want to waste the good ones.
Tessaria started to run as fast as she could, but she could tell her speed had dropped. To add to that, she was starting to breathe heavily. She knew she had to catch her breath, so she quickly looked around to make sure she was alone, then she jumped into a dark alley. "Thank God." She said breathily and leaned against a wall. She slowly slid down into a sitting position, she rested her head against the wall and looked up, still breathing heavily.
This really sucks...I've never been so tired and slacking. I just hope there aren't TOO many more people to kill.
Tessaria closed her eyes and sighed, she could've fallen asleep, but that was out of the question. "Too risky." She said quietly and opened her eyes. She waited in the darkness for a little over 45 minutes, and she could feel herself gaining her strength back.
There was a sudden, high-pitched laughter that seemed to come from everywhere. "Ahahahaha! Is somebody feeling a little tired?" The voice asked.
Tessaria suddenly shot up and looked around. "I don't see anything." She said to herself.
The voice laughed again. "Having difficulties spotting me?" She asked and laughed more. "I'll give you a hint." She said and Tessaria heard the lady land.
Behind me! She has to be!
Tessaria whipped around but didn't see anything. "What the--" She was cut off when she felt a shuriken cut her skin on her left arm. She turned into the direction the shuriken had come from, and saw a woman's form. Tessaria glared and pocketed her kunai clone, she quickly made her hand signs, "Thunder Paralysis Jutsu!" She yelled.
The woman laughed and quickly lifted her arm and a weapon, blocking Tessaria's attack. "Hahahaha! That's not gonna work, Honey!" She said and her form disappeared. "A woman in love doesn't let simple things get in her way." She said, her voice coming from everywhere.
So she has love to lead her? Strange...
Tessaria quickly ripped some brown cloth from the bottom of her shirt and tied it around her scratch, when it was secure, Tessaria grabbed another kunai clone from her pocket and backed up to a wall. "So...who's your 'love?'" She asked, trying to get the woman to speak again.
She laughed. "None other than our powerful leader, Unohaiti. That doesn't concern you, however." She said, still coming from everywhere.
I still can't locate her...I'm just going to have to keep looking while carrying a conversation...
Tessaria smirked. "If you're so 'in love,' why aren't you attacking?" She asked. "It IS for your 'love' isn't it?"
The lady laughed. "True...but...I'm known for my Viola Shadow Smash. I've been trademarked." She said and Tessaria heard shuriken flying at her.
She quickly dodged them and jumped up the wall her back was against. "Have you now?" She asked and climbed to the roof of the tall building. Tessaria looked around and saw Viola with her back turned to her.
Gotcha.
Viola smirked. "Yeah...Unohaiti has told me how impressed he is with my abilities. For one: my sword blocks ANY ninjutsu attacks. For two: I NEVER show myself to the enemy. It's a special technique I possess." She finished.
Tessaria rolled her eyes at the woman's ego, she slowly approached the woman. When she got close enough, she held the kunai to Viola's throat. "Nice technique." Tessaria said and felt Viola tense up.
Her purple eyes were wide in shock, "How--"
Tessaria cut her off. "Just out of luck, I guess." She said and grabbed Viola's large sword and threw it off the building. When it hit the ground, Tessaria spoke again. "Now...I'll let you live to see your 'beloved' Unohaiti again, IF you tell me what I need to know. Is that clear!?"
Viola glared angrily. "You think you've actually won?" She asked rhetorically and disappeared into a puff of smoke, leaving nothing but a log behind.
Shit...substitution. NOW where is she!?
Viola laughed. "Now...I WILL live to see Unohaiti again." She said, disguising her voice again. "But I'll live knowing that I was the one to defeat the 'Mighty' intruder."
Tessaria looked around for the insane woman but came up empty-handed. While there was a silence, Tessaria heard the large sword on the ground being moved. She smiled and hopped off the building and kicked Viola right in the face before landing. The sudden kick knocked the lady off guard, but she didn't fall. When Tessaria noticed this, she quickly tripped Viola with a sudden sweep underfoot, this time Viola hit the ground. Tessaria glared and QUICKLY made her familiar hand signs. "Thunder Paralysis Jutsu!" She yelled and the bright bolt of lightning hit Viola, paralyzing her.
Viola growled in annoyed anger. "Damnit! I was caught off guard..." She said and her eyes began to tear up.
What the hell? She's crying? How pathetic...
Tessaria crossed her arms in annoyance. "Why are you crying?" She asked.
More tears fell from the woman's purple eyes and Tessaria couldn't help but pity her. "Please...kill me quickly." She cried. "There's no way I can return to Unohaiti...not with the humiliation of being defeated by you..." She continued. "I promised that I wouldn't come back unless I, myself, killed you. I promised not only me, but Unohaiti, too."
I ALMOST feel sorry for the woman...but she IS my enemy. I shouldn't have pity over them.
Tessaria sighed. "You're SURE you want me to kill you?" She asked. "Because this can all be avoided. You tell me what I need to know, and I'll let you leave and live."
Viola cried more. "No...I-I...I WANT you to finish me quickly." She said and more tears rolled down her face and to the cement. "Please...I can't live unless I'm with Unohaiti, and if he knows I failed him...he'll send me away and I'll have no reason to live anymore. Please kill me now, kill me quickly."
Tessaria took a few steps back and shook her head. "I can't do that...I have no way to kill you quickly." She said, feeling stupid for not having the ability to kill a person fast.
Maybe I can use Burning Blue Fire...MAYBE.
Viola began to sob. "Then take your time...just finish me off. I have no reason to live anymore...I WANT to die!"
Tessaria nodded slowly. "Ok...it won't be pretty, though." She said and slowly made the appropriate hand signs.
Viola smiled thankfully. "Thank you...but before you release that jutsu, will you let me speak some more?"
Tessaria dropped her hands and nodded. "Ok." She said.
"I want to tell you everything." Viola said. "Anything you want to know...I'll tell you."
Tessaria's green eyes went wide but she nodded again. "Do you know anything about a man named Dianatu? He's the ONLY reason I'm here...he's my father."
Viola smiled. "Yes...I know him. He's my love's secondhand man. Unohaiti relies on him for everything." She explained and sighed. "Unohaiti uses him for his Lanugan...and Dianatu WAS Unohaiti's first host body. I guess that means I fell for your father first then, huh?" She said and continued. "I'm positive that he will be in the largest building in town, him along with Unohaiti." She finished. "That's all I can tell you, so please kill me."
Tessaria nodded with a newfound respect for Viola. "Viola...I-I...I've never been ASKED to kill someone before. Do you have a last request or something?" She asked, having a difficulty finding the right words, which was unlike her.
Viola smiled. "Yes...I DO have a last request. Will you please tell Unohaiti that I loved him and I died in his honor?" She asked. "Well...if you can get to him. You have three more battles until you reach the main building." She said and Tessaria nodded in response. Viola closed her eyes and more tears fell. "Now please...kill me as quickly as you can...and no tears. Just do it."
Tessaria fought away tears and slowly made the appropriate hand signs. "Fire Style: Burning Blue Fire." She said and blew the fire from her mouth and killed Viola instantly. No screams and no pain, the job was finished. Tessaria fell to her knees, she couldn't believe what she had done.
Why am I so upset about it? She was my enemy...and she asked for it. I shouldn't be fighting tears...it'll only offend her.
Tessaria took another look at her "work" and stood up. "Murder number 8..." She said and looked up at the sky, at the rising sun. It had to be close to 7am, and she still had a lot of work to do. Tessaria turned back to Viola and turned away. "I'll respect your request." She said and slowly walked away from the death scene. Tessaria hoped that she'd be able to fight with this battle stuck in her head.
