'Just stay. Away.' you said, your eye twitching.

"I'm gonna kill him."

And you almost did well on your promise given there were numerous times when you threw to him all kinds of stuff or used all kind of jutsus against him, till the day Itachi came back with Kisame.

'AWWWW! Itachi help me! She wants to kill me!' Tobi did and ran behind him the moment he entered.

'Fine with me.' Kisame snapped and laughed.

'Nani?!' Tobi did tear-eyed.

'Has anyone else arrived?' was all Itachi asked.

'No. Deidara is coming with Sasori and Zetsu with Hidan.'

'Aww... Pain-sama is still all alone with Konan then, ne?'

'EEEEEEK! Don't talk badly for our leader.'

'Ha ha! Whatever man...'

They were both about to leave, when you walked right in front of them. He tried to bypass you but you got in his way again; even when he teleported to the other side, you teleported with him.

'I demand to know why you brought me here.' you told him firmly; he didn't respond.

'You should be grateful he brought you here, not demanding to know why; when miracles happen you simply don't ask why.'

'I wasn't talking to you fish sticks.'

Tobi started laughing.

'Stop calling me like that!'

'What are you laughing at, lollipop? So will anyone answer me or I'll have to make you?'

'I suggest you pay attention to what you say, when and where you say it. I brought you here because you can be of great use to our goal.'

'What makes you think I give a damn about your goal?'

'If you don't help us little girl, then we'll kill you. We are nine and you're one.' Kisame answered for Itachi who remained silent.

'Then so be it; I prefer dying to living an unhonorable life.'

'Then we'll just have to work on that.' Itachi said coming dangerously close to you.

"This is not like his standard behavior; he's never deliberately gone in such close distance to anyone before. Could this be it for me? Or is he merely trying to check out my courage to see if I can be an Akatsuki member? Truth is I've never seen how he acts around new recruits. So should I show to be scared so they won't make me go in field action nor should I show I'm not afraid to gain his appreciation? Come and think of it I've been expressionless this whole time, won't he understand it was done on purpose? And why does he smell so nicely-gee, what am I thinking?!"

'Think you can scare me and make me beg for my life if you come a little closer mister moody guy? Please! I'm not afraid of you or your so called "Mangyeku sharingan".'

'Seems like someone has been doing their homework!' Kisame exclaimed.

'I hope you're as good as you talk.' he calmly said and disappeared.

"At least I made him take some sort of interest in me." you thought comforting yourself.

For the following month, you did nothing but watch him and study his behavior in order to see what should be your course of action; he resembled a lot the person in that file, making you feel like you always knew him. You actually had started to feel some sort of attraction towards him; you always fell for the mysterious guys anyway. His collected behavior, his quiet personality, the fact he’d only speak when necessary made you like him even more. And, just to be honest to yourself, you always admired him since you were children for his amazing skills, modesty and obedience. But now it was different; he was your enemy and you needed to make him like you and not the other way round!

Of course he seemed to realize you were watching him; but not that he could tell why: he could only guess. Besides, you weren't the kind of person who would openly talk about their emotions-or show any of them for that matter- so you were hard to understand, too. Of course that drew his attention as well but you couldn’t tell if he was interested in you just because of your skills or if he actually liked you, too.

'And why should I do that?'

He merely looked at you intensively.

'Is that supposed to make me feel uncomfortable and make me accept? Coz if yes, I must inform you it is definitely not working.' you commented worn-off.

'Oh ho ho! Look at that! A second Itachi-only in its female-talkative version!' Kisame exclaimed.

'Nah, I like her.' Deidara snapped.

'Hey-don't push me!' you ordered Itachi, but he didn't quite listen; in a second you were outside.

'Are there any more elements you can control?'

'No, cave man.'

'Are you an expert in all of them?'

'Yes...'

'Alright. Let's start.'

'Does the fact that I do not want to count?'

But instead of an answer he attacked you with a shuriken technique; you dodged them.

'Guess not. Fine then!'

And your training commenced: took you four hours, till he decided to call it a day. You had to admit he was more than powerful and his attacks had exhausted you; every moment you were fighting, you were fighting for your life. Of course you counter-attacked but not after you had seen most of his moves, something that took quite a long time. He, like reading your mind, avoided using all of them and the ones he used were not altogether.

'You fight in a smart way, but I've just shown you that one can easily turn your skill against you.'

'So do you but believe me: I've faced many opponents till now and you're the only one who ever thought of that.'

'From now on, this is how your opponents will be.'

You looked at him with the edge of your eyes.

"What can he be preparing for me? He is not actually planning of making me an active member of the organization, is he? And it has been two weeks since I last contacted Tsunande..."

'Itachi...'

He looked at you.

'You do realize that grabbing Naruto for you people would be impossible for me, right?'

He didn't respond though; he kept walking beside you, supporting you (because he had seriously injured your left leg).

'My my my! You made it through practice alive?! Either you are way too good or Itachi-san really likes you!'

You both simultaneously gave him the same murderous look that both he and Tobi froze.

'AAAAAW! Sasori-san, we found Itachi's long lost sister!' he shouted horrified.

To that you both looked at each other with the edge of your eyes and kept walking; he led you to his room. You were kind of shocked but didn't show it, you just stopped walking. He looked at you wondered (Itachi's wondered).

'I can stand; go and grab whatever it is you want and I'll wait for you here.'

He merely gestured to follow him inside; you did so. You were a bit freaked out; he was always so silent yet expressive that you couldn't "read" him and he had no "tells" at all. And now he told you to go to his room. His quiet character made you feel relieved, but then again the way he fights made you realize his balanced yet dangerous personality (and skills) that scared you.

"Not that he's gonna rape me or anything, but I just feel this is serious. He is much closed as a person so I don't think he'd ever let anyone in his private space so easily; the very reason I feel that something bad is going to happen..."

The moment you got in he shut the door behind you but without locking it and sat you on a chair. He went to grab some medicine (he had his own stash); you watched his movements closely but thank God he didn't seem to make any sudden or out of the ordinary ones.

'Take your shoe off and pull down your shock (a long black one ninja style, going up your thigh).'

You did so. He put your knee in its place (you: smothered a cry of pain by grabbing the chair tighter), cleaned it, and then put a cream over it.

'Your leg should be alright in a couple of hours, but it will soar.'

'Um. Arigato, Itachi.'

He nodded; you tried to stand up, but he got in front of you, without saying anything.

'Nani?' you asked, waiting for an answer.

'Stop watching me.’ he stated coldly. You didn’t even blink, so he continued at the same tone.

‘Is your mission to collect information about me?'

'So this is what "this" is all about.'

'Or just about the Akatsuki or the leader?'

'What if it is all of them?' you asked normally.

'Then I think I mustn't allow you to leave this house. Ever.'

'You can try.'

'Then I'll merely have to kill you.'

'Then I will have to kill you, too.’

‘Don’t push it Rin.’

‘Humph! Whatever suits you better.’

‘…’

‘Either way... Now if you'll excuse me I have to contact Tsunande-'

But he hit you at the back of your head, knocking you out.

"I shouldn't have pushed him so far... Well, at least he didn't kill me, right?” was the last thing you were able to think; then everything went dark.
