Which will you fall for, a vampire, human, angel, half-breed, or demon? (Part 15) (yes there is now a vampire as well)

heh, what can i say? I like Vampire's they're so cool, and mysterious, so why not? Last time: However this joy was to be short lived as another gunshot went off a lot closer then the last one. The initial shot was loud, and ringing could be felt in your ears for a time afterwards. Immediately you were reminded of your pursuers. You turned around then to see a group of men and women walk out from the forest...

The boys’ immediate reaction was to form a circle around you, shielding you from anything the intruders might throw at you.
"Well, well, look what we have here..." The guy standing at the front of the group grinned sardonically, and his group slowly created a circle around you and the guys. "Two humans, a demon, an angel, a fallen and a misfit..."
There was something about these people that set you on edge. Not to mention that they could tell what you were... Not even you would be able to tell if a stranger was really human or not...You looked at each of them individually. There was something...different about them. These people weren’t normal. There was seven all together, three women and four men, and all of them had a sort of surreal appearance. The leader, who appeared to be only a couple of years older then you, had dark hair and sky blue eyes, to die for.
"We’ve been sent to collect the girl." The leader growled. He looked at you, and you could see a lust in his eyes. A powerful, evil desire that turned your blood cold.
Sent...by who? Xeros? Why would these people be able to over power five of the strongest warriors you’ve ever seen? You looked around at your companions. Apparently there was something to be afraid of because none of them had anything of a reassuring look on their face.
Vampires... you heard Elyett through a mind connection that he had established with you. Now your blood truly did turn cold. Vampires? They’re not suppose to be real. They’re just some creature that an ancient lady made up to scare her children into staying indoors at night, aren’t they? Wait...if they’re Vampires how come they’re walking around in daylight? There were so many questions that you had need of being answered! This wasn’t fair! Why couldn’t you ever get a break from these creatures?
From your training with Lennon you’d made a habit of carrying two knives around with you, and you grabbed onto them now. It was obvious that you’d have to be prepared to fight. It was seven against five, excluding you. There was no way you wouldn’t get involved this time. You had to fight.

Seeing that the boys weren’t just going to hand you over, the head vamp gave a nod and the other six vampires moved forward. At first they tried to go for you, but your friends were too much for them in that respect, so they resorted to removing the obstacles first. An all out mini war had started around you. Despite this, a small grin escaped you when you noticed Jeremiah was fighting two of the women, and Lennon the third. You couldn’t help but think that was ironic.
The vampires were fast. They moved at exceptional speeds, with an amazing strength. Of course the women were more agile then the males, but that didn’t change the fact that they were still strong. You could tell, just from a glance, that your friends were on the defensive.
Now you turned your gaze back to the leader, and readied yourself. Calmly you stood there waiting. He was looking at you with amusement, that lust you’d seen earlier still apparent on his face. After a time, he walked towards you, the both of you completely ignoring the fighting that was going on around you. When he’d halved the original distance between the two of you, the vampire started to run. You brought your knives round behind you to slice him as he went to grab you. The vamp stood back, not having actually expected you to be able to fight back. The grin had reappeared on his face and his eyes glittered a little.
The vamp spun round, sending a kick at your side. Now you blocked with both knives before spinning around attempting to slice the Vampire again. This time he caught your hand in a hold and forcefully removed the knife. He brought your arm around behind you and you bit your bottom lip to stop yourself from crying out in pain. Now you spun the knife in your other hand, changing the hold and stabbed at the vampire’s side while he was behind you. Naturally, being a far more experienced fighter then you were, he had expected this, and so he grabbed onto your other arm as well. He removed the blade from that hand forcefully as well. He now stood behind you, with both of your arms in a lock. You were practically his to do anything with. As that thought came to your mind, you found yourself with new strength. There was no way you were giving yourself up to a vampire!
He lent in towards you and you felt him smell your neck. It was at this stage that you threw your head back. This manoeuvre startled him, and he let go of you. Now fully aware of your circumstances, you looked at him with determination, but you were also looking for a way out of this. You noticed that your friends were now on the offensive against these Vampires. Perhaps, with a bit of luck, you would be able to last long enough till your friends would be able to help you out. It was just as this thought passed you by, that you heard a gunshot. Everyone turned to see who had been shot.
A female vampire was holding a gun up with a small residue of smoke coming off it. In front of her, stood Lennon weakly, clutching his left shoulder.

You moved to take a step towards him, but he put his hand up, causing you to stop mid step. Elyett left his opponent and Wolfgang and Jaxon paired up, two against three. This made them outnumbered by a half. They would be able to deal with that. Elyett immediately ran over to you. The male vampire was watching this display with increased amusement.
"Go." Elyett spoke to you, before standing in front of you. He would keep this vamp amused while you would help Lennon . You gave him your thanks before you started heading over to Lennon .
This was not part of the Vamps plans. He wanted the others dead. That meant that there would be no healing or whatever it was you were able to do. The vamp jumped over you and Elyett landing between you and Lennon , his back towards you. The vamp then walked up to Lennon .
" Virgil ..." the female stood back and allowing her leader to take control.
Virgil , the lead vamp took hold of Lennon’s arm and forced him to stand. You could see the pain in Lennon’s eyes as more blood flowed down the front of his shirt, staining his clothes and the grass. You could feel the tears forming in the back of your eyes and there was nothing you could do to stop them. You were about to cry out, but then Lennon fought back. He had a spare blade tucked away in his back, and in one swift motion he pulled it out and sliced the vamps stomach. This freed his arm, for which Lennon then held onto. He spun round and sent kick after kick towards the lead Vamp. You could not help, but stand there, practically paralysed as you watched Lennon continuing to fight on.
A look from Virgil and the female vamp lifter her arm holding the gun and fired again. Elyett created a weak shield in front of you, which slowly changed the direction the bullet moved in. He then stepped up to protect you from the female vamp.
You hadn’t even noticed the bullet, but as Elyett walked passed you, you could see the injuries on his body. There were scratches everywhere. Now you turned and looked at Jaxon and Wolfgang , two against three. They were definitely in there for the worst. There was no way they could win against three males, and they knew it too. At their current level, they were weak. As you were watching, you saw that there was a small time period, where a break occurred in the fighting between the five. It was at this time that Wolfgang placed his hand on the ground. A circle appeared around the three male vampires and they seemed to freeze, as if time had stopped around them. You watched now as Jaxon moved quickly between the three of them, staking them each in the heart. Wolfgang released the spell and the three vamps turned to dust. Now you saw something different about Wolfgang though. It was like...like that look you’d seen in him earlier.

You saw Jaxon chain Wolfgang to the nearest tree before moving on.
Only now did you notice that Jeremiah and the two female vampires had disappeared. A connection was made between you and Jaxon and you heard his voice ringing through your mind, Get down! On instinct you followed his instruction. As soon as you’d done so, a bullet flew past your head, if you’d been standing it would have pierced your side. Standing up, you turned round to see the lead vampire putting a gun away before glaring between you and Jaxon. Behind him, Lennon was lying next to a tree, a wound in his shoulder and one in his stomach. Despite the fact that he was human, Lennon had managed to do some damage to Virgil , but now...now Virgil had conducted his revenge. Your face had gone pale. Lennon couldn’t be dead... It just wouldn’t work that way. He’s always been there... There’s just no way...
You felt a hand on your shoulder and you saw Jaxon standing next to you. He was badly hurt, but it seemed that he was still able to fight at full capacity. You knew exactly what he wanted you to do just from a look in his eyes. Jaxon wanted you to go and attend to Lennon and then Wolfgang .
You looked at him before glancing over at Elyett, who seemed to have his hands full with this other lady. You then ran towards Lennon . Like last time, Virgil moved to intercept you. This time he was determined to get his prize, but then he stopped and looked over at Jaxon, intrigued by something you were unaware of. He then started walking towards the boy, and not once did they lose eye contact. They seemed to be having a battle of minds, to see which one was stronger.
It was at this stage that you turned and ran towards Lennon . As you approached you could see his chest heaving. He was still alive. Thank God. Virgil had been kind. That thought made you laugh. A Vampire with a little bit of mercy...or was it just that he’d wanted Lennon to suffer for longer? Either way, you waisted no time pondering these thoughts.
As you arrived by Lennon’s side, you started with the wound in his stomach. After you dealt with that one, you moved to work on his wound in his shoulder, but Lennon grabbed your hand and made you stop. "the bullet... must...come out..."
Your face turned pale. You had to remove the bullet...

Lennon squeezed your hand in encouragement, before he went to pull a tool out of the back of his belt. It was a unique weapon of his that you’d been introduced to before, but now he wanted you to use it like a pair of tweezers... Lennon forced the tool into your hand and then pressed your hand towards his would, far enough so that the tip of the weapon had already breached the skin. Blood started to flow from the wound again and Lennon quickly removed his hand from yours, grabbing onto a rock on the ground next to him. Now that the tool was already in there, you had to continue. The look in Lennon’s eyes told you so.
Slowly you pushed to tool in further, having to force it through parts of Lennon’s body that had already healed in the time that he had received the wound. Your heart was racing as you could see the pain you were causing Lennon . His knuckles were white, and you were sure that he was squeezing the rock so hard that blood had started to run down it. You continued prodding into Lennon’s body, forcing yourself to hurt your best friend. His pain was ricocheted off you. Every tense muscle in him, was displayed in you. Upon finding the bullet, you had to deepen your shallow breathing and attempt to slow down your speedy heartbeat. With great difficulty, you got a secure hold on the bullet and slowly pulled it out. Every second that went passed during your slow procedure, felt like a hundred. By now the vain in Lennon’s neck was protruding from his attempt to hide his pain and his hand was covered in blood. Sweat was running down every inch of his body like rain from a storm.
As soon as the bullet was out you dropped the tool and attended the wound and his hand. Lennon leant back against the tree and let himself relax. Today had been witness to the most excruciating pain he had ever felt.
In your relief you felt tears roll down your cheeks and you pulled Lennon into a hug. He returned the hug weakly,
"Hey Hotshot, you did it..."
A new flow of tears appeared before you released your friend and wiped them away. Now you stood weakly, and left Lennon by the tree. Jaxon had asked you to attend to Wolfgang as well, and so, you were walking slowly towards him. That look was still in his face. This person, chained to the tree in front of you was not Wolfgang . There was no way Wolfgang would ever look at you like that, and yet, it was him. Every fibre in this being was Wolfgang , a rabid, uncontrollable Wolfgang , but still Wolfgang .
" Wolfgang ?" You were standing in front of him.
His eyes moved onto you, and only you. This person, creature, was an animal. You took a step closer. Now the two of you were close to each other. If he hadn’t been chained to the tree, Wolfgang would have been able to grab you easily. Now you were searching his eyes for something, some part of him that you could recognise, but there was nothing. Wolfgang was too far gone...
The tears came again and you cursed yourself for being so weak.

you stepped up to him and wrapped your arms around him. Your body shaking from the loss you’d just realised you’d received. "...I’m so sorry..." The tenseness in his body was slowly going away, and you thought he might be coming round, but to your dismay, it came back.
"You have caused me a lot of trouble..."
Now you felt your own body tense. Your hair was yanked back, with your body following suit, and you fell into a strong hold. You had no energy left to fight back. You’d used it all on Lennon ... Jaxon! You looked around as best you could to see what had happened to the half-breed, and Elyett as well.
Virgil allowed you to move round so you could see your companions. The female vamp was holding two guns, one pointed at each of the boys. They had been caught in a magic bind you assumed Virgil had created. You glanced over at Lennon and them Wolfgang . Your heart skipped a beat. Wolfgang had come back...
"You will come without a single argument, or all four of them will die right in front of your eyes."
You felt yourself nod in defeat, and Virgil led you back through the path. Your head was hung low, but you did not look back. Or, you didn’t look back until you hear the guns fire. Four echoes could be heard racing through the forest. You stopped walking. No... "NO!" You immediately started fighting back. It couldn’t end now, not like this... "Let me go!" You were in a blind rage. Scratching, kicking, and punching at random, just trying to free yourself so you could go to them.
Try as you might, Virgil just held onto you tighter. Darkness then enveloped you and you could tell you were now in a completely different section of the forest, if it was even the same forest to begin with. This knowledge, in the back of your mind didn’t stop you. You had to get out, away... you needed to see your friends. They couldn’t be dead! They were too strong to just die like that!
Virgil threw you onto the ground, that strange lust still visible. "They’re gone. Fighting back now is pointless." He waited to see what you would do.
You wiped away tears that you hadn’t even realised had fallen and stood up next to a tree. Having another life form nearby gave you some form of comfort. The entire time you watched him intently. "What are you going to do with me?" Your voice was shaky, but you didn’t care. Not anymore.
Virgil showed his fangs and pressed you up against that same tree that you’d chosen to stand by for comfort. His body was practically pressed up against yours and he held both your hands above your head with one of his to stop you from fighting back. You could feel his breath on your neck, and looked away. Virgil then brought his spare hand up and caressed your face. His hand was cold. Your heart beat faster as you became afraid of what he might do to you. He growled bringing his head right in next to yours, "If I could, Id have my way with you right now..." There was no doubt about it, he was definitely telling you the truth. You could feel the strain he was feeling in having to stop himself. "I can smell your blood from miles away princess. I don’t need Xeros to tell me anything. I know exactly who you are..." Virgil let you go and stepped back. It seemed he had come to a decision about something. "To have you, would make Xeros undefeatable, and I cant have that. Your pathetic friends have made him strong enough as it is," He hissed these last words, and now you were aware that this was not for Xeros anymore. This was a rebellion. The vampires wanted their freedom back.
With this revelation, you relaxed a bit, getting over the closeness that you’d just been through. This relaxation you’d started feeling quickly dissipated as you realised that the most appropriate way for him to keep you away from Virgil would be to kill you. The thought of trying to run came into your mind, but you knew there was no way you could outrun a vampire. And then...you realised that Virgil seemed to have information about Xeros. He knew...
You pulled all your emotional strength together and took a step forward as visible proof of you new found strength. " Virgil , what is Xeros trying to do with me?" You’d never actually gotten a full explanation, and from the looks of it, this vampire would know more then your friends...your friends...why did you let that thought come into your mind? You held your head high and suppressed your tears, along with your emotions.
He glared at you. What right did you think you had to ask him questions?
No, you would not let him get the better of you now. You’d been so strong up till now and you knew your friends would have wanted you to stay that way. With this you held your expression and his gaze, making the slightest of smiles appear through his glare.
"You are definitely an interesting one..." he circled you slowly and at a distance that was so close you were extremely uncomfortable. It was as if he was able to figure you out in this one movement. He spoke softly, "You are obviously able to adapt to change easily... and don’t seem to..." he searched for a word "freaked out that you are alone with a vampire, who, if circumstances had been different, would not have hesitated to drink you dry..."
You forced yourself to stay composed as you were. Circumstances were not different... wait, did that mean he wasn’t going to kill you? As long as you kept this in mind you knew that he wouldn’t be able to throw any real threat at you...or that’s what you hoped anyway... It was now extremely obvious he wasn’t going to answer your question though...
