Fairytale relationships. True love. Happy endings. It's what everyone wants. It's what one girl would get.
Sohma, Kira-chan, younger sister of Sohma, Kyo. She was a kind girl. Very innocent and very beautiful. Red hair and golden eyes. Kira-chan was had many best friends, but her oldest was head of the Sohma family. Sohma, Akito. There was also Sohma, Yuki and Honda, Tohru-chan. Kira-chan enjoyed having another girl in the house.
"Shi-chan, can I go visit Akito-chan?" she asked Shigure innocently.
He flinched hearing the name, but nodded. "I'll ask Hatori to take you. He's coming for your check up today."
"Arigatou Shi-chan."
Kira-chan felt happy. Living with her brother in Shigure's house, she never was able to see Akito much.
"Kira-chan," a voice called to her. It was Yuki.
"Yuki-chan!" she cried happily, her golden eyes turning a purplish-pink. She hugged the silver-haired boy. Receiving hugs from Kira-chan was natural. She was a cat like her brother, but she was a red cat with brown eyes. Unlike her brother, she didn't care about not being part of the official zodiac.
Worry was set in Yuki's eyes as he asked, "You're…you're going to see Akito?"
"Hai! Akito-chan will appreciate it if I visit. I don't get to visit much anymore."
"Just…just be careful, ok?" he pleaded and pulled her close.
Kira smiled and nodded, "I'll be fine Yuki-chan."
Yuki smiled softly and kissed the top of her head, before continuing down the hall. Kira rested a hand over her heart, she could feel it pulsing wildly. Why did that always happen when she hugged Yuki-chan?

Downstairs, Tohru was cleaning up and Kyo was watching TV, when Hatori walked through the door.
"Hatori-san, what are you doing here?" Tohru asked pleasantly.
Hatori cleared his throat before answering, "I'm here for Kira's check up and then I'll be taking her to visit Akito. Just let me go wash my hands and I'll be up in a few minutes."
It was silent, hearing Akito's name, until Kyo stood, "I'll tell her." He found her sitting on her bed, drawing in a sketchbook. "Kira," he called.
"Hi aniki," she greeted.
Kyo did his best to take care of his sister and was a kind as he could be to her. She was a year younger and very naive. Kira was sheltered all her life so she was very innocent, she was unaware of the bad in the world so she was care-free, but then she needed a lot of protection as well. "What are you drawing?"
"Us," she answered and showed him her sketchbook. Two cats, one orange and one red, a mouse, a dog, and an onigiri were playing and they looked happy. It said, 'Perfect Family'.
"It's…good," Kyo choked out. He was so proud of his sister because she was all he wasn't and more. "Put that away now, Hatori is here for your check up."
Kira's eyes flashed happily, "I can go see Akito-chan then right?"
"Yes, you can go see Akito then."
"Okay aniki." Her current purplish-pink eyes flashed back to gold. "Aniki, am I going to get a shot?"
Kyo sat next to her and stroked her hair, "If you do, I'll be right here.
"I love you aniki."
"Love you too Kira, now lay down. Hatori will be in."

After the check up, in which no shot was needed, Kira nearly dragged Hatori to the car to get to the main house.
"Bye Shi-chan!" Kira-chan smiled and got into the car, chatting happily to Hatori.
"Kira-chan, be back for dinner ok?" Shigure called, waving wildly. He slid the rice paper door closed and turned around, whistling innocently and was met by the angry eyes of Kyo and Yuki. "Eh, nani?"
"BAKA!" they both shouted, landing a fist on the top of his head..
"T_T What did I do?"
Kyo grabbed him by the collar, "Why'd you let my sister go see that heartless bastard?! We prevented it for so long and you do this!"
Yuki slapped the dog of the zodiac on the back of the head, "You don't even trust him and yet you allow her to go."
"Don't you both want her to be happy?!" Shigure cried, grasping for air. Thankfully, Kyo let Shigure go. "Whether you like it or not, Akito is Kira-chan's oldest friend. I cannot just tell her to stop caring for him. Just let her do what she wants. Akito never lays a hand on her."
"If I see a single scratch on her, I'll kill you," Kyo growled and stormed away, to the roof.
Shigure stood and straightened his clothes, keeping his gaze on a glaring Yuki. "Why do you care so much, huh?"
A blush rose to the silver-hared boys face, but he said nothing and stormed away. Most of his life, Yuki had known Kira and she was the most wonderful person he ever met. So kind, so beautiful, so innocent. His heart would skip a few beats when she was near. The fact that her eyes would light that pinkish color when she saw him, brought a smile to his face. He made her happy, and that made him happy because Yuki loved her.

"You know where Akito's room is, Kira. Go on up," Hatori said, walking to his office.
Kira nodded and scurried up the stairs. She'd get to see Akito! Kira felt so happy. She opened the door te door and then gasped. Akito was sprawled on the ground, unconscious. "Ha-chan!" the poor girl cried. "Ha-chan! Akito-chan is hurt!" Footsteps were heard, thundering up the stairs. Kira sat by Akito's body and pulled his head into her lap.
"Kira-chan!" a hyper little voice cried. "You came to visit!"
"Momiji-chan!" the two-colored hair boy stood behind him, "Haru-chan!"
"Hey Kira," Haru winked.
Hatori stood by the door and ushered the two boys away, "Everyone out now. I have to see what's wrong with Akito. "
The two nodded and went back to their business. Kira only stayed where she was and looked at Hatori with pleading eyes. "Ha-chan…onegai. I want to stay!"
"Gomen, Kira, but you cannot. I'll call you in when I'm done."
"Hai…"
Sadly, Kira stood and left them room, shutting the door behind her. She sat by the door, waiting and nodding off, slowly waiting for Hatori to let her in. Once Hatori did leave the room, he found Kira outside the door. Her head pressed against the wall, her arms around her knees, her eyes closed. She was asleep. He smiled and lifted her up gently. Next to Akito she was rested. An hour later, Kira awoke.
"Finally awake, I see," a familiar voice called to her.
Kira sat up and rubbed her eyes. Seeing who spoke, they went pink, "Akito-chan!" She stood and ran to te window in which he was seated. Her small arms wrapped around his wait in a hug. "I really missed you Akito-chan."
Akito smirked and patted her head, "I missed you too, Kira. Hold out your finger."
Kira did as she was told and a bird, white as snow, landed on her finger. "Kawaii! Akito-chan how did you…" He had gone from the window. "Akito-chan?"
"Over here, Kira," he whispered. He patted the space next to him, motioning for her to sit next to him.
"Bye bye birdie," she smiled and then stood. She sat next to Akito and rested her head on his lap. "Yes, Akito-chan?"
Unconsciously, Akito began to run his pale fingers through her red mane. "Kira, how long have we known each other?"
"We started playing when we were little. I was three and you were six. You remember, don't you Akito-chan?"
Akito chuckled and nodded, "Of course, Kira, of course. Do you love me?"
"Of course! You are my best friend!" Akito sighed and removed his hand from her hair. Kira sat up and looked at her friend worriedly, "Akito-chan, what's wrong?"

"I know you love me as a friend Kira. What I would like to know is…" Akito cupped her cheek. "Are you in love with me?"
A red hue rose to Kira's cheeks. The pink of her eyes was now returning to gold. "A…Akito-chan…?"
A rather sadistic smirk rose to his lips. "You do not have to answer me now, but take something to help you think about it."
In a quick second, Akito had pinned Kira to the bed, their lips pressed together. Kira's eyes widened, this was her first kiss. Taken. By her best friend who was considerably older than her. It would be thought of as rape, if seen in their position. Most of her life, Kira thought she had loved Akito, but now, she wasn't quite sure. Her thought began to register a different face. Different, but familiar and very handsome. Silver hair…violet eyes…Yuki was flooding her mind.
Akito lifted his lips from hers and moved along down to her neck. Nibbling, ever so carefully, until Kira lifted a moan.
"Akito…chan…"
She could feel him smirk along her skin and then a rather sharp pain. He had bit her. She then could feel his mouth sucking on her sick, is tongue tracing his bite mark and then tracing back up to her ear.
One lick and then one bite before he whispered, "Think about it. Every time you look at your neck, think about it." What did he mean? Kira lifted a hand to her neck and touched the currently sensitive spot. "Look in the mirror…Kira."
Kira did as she was told and saw a mark there. It looked much like a bruise. "A-Akito-chan…aniki will go mad if he sees this," she whispered, on the brink of tears. Kira hated it when her brother got angry with her.
Stealth-like, Akito appeared behind her. His cold, pale hands gripped her shoulders. He leaned down to her ear, whispering ever so seductively. "He doesn't need to know does he? It'll go away soon enough and there are always ways to cover it." Akito nibbled at her ear. "Am I right Kira?"
She nodded and then bade goodbye, not looking at his face. Once outside the door, a single tear trailed down her face. For so long, she thought that she did love Akito more than a friend. Now, her thoughts of him were fuzzy. Was he really the one she loved? Remembering the face that flashed through her mind, her heart fluttered. Yuki…why were her thought wrapped around him?
Ever ever after
Forever could even start today
Ever ever after
Maybe its just one wish away
Your ever ever after
Kira left the main house, insisting that she would take the bus home. She wouldn't be able to hide the mark from Hatori, no matter how hard she tried. Once home, Kira ate dinner quietly and went to her room soon after. She spoke to and made eye contact with no one. They all worried about her. Not once has she ever been so quiet or sullen. Kira held a mirror in her hand, quietly looking at the mark on her neck. It made her feel…guilty. As if she had betrayed someone.
She began to draw. It was her talent and very relaxing. She didn't realize what or who she was drawing. Her hand led the way. Then a knock came at her door.
"Kira-chan? May I come in?" It was Yuki. Kira didn't know what to say, her throat went dry. "Kira-chan, are you asleep?"
"Co…come in," she whispered, keeping her gaze at the door. Yuki slid the door open and stepped in, closing it behind him. "H-Hi, Yuki-chan." Again her heart fluttered and her golden eyes flashed purplish-pink again.
Yuki smiled and walked toward her bed, "May I sit next to you?" Kira nodded and scooted over on her bed. Yuki sat next to her and looked down at her sketch pad. "Is that me?"
Kira glanced down at the sketch pad and blinked at the face. It was Yuki and a very good likeness. "I-I suppose so…"
Yuki smiled and felt his heart skip a few beats. He glanced over at the red-headed girl and his eyes landed on her neck. Her hair was tossed over hair shoulder, which was strange for her. Kira-chan kept her hair straight back if loose, never over a shoulder, so Yuki pushed it back for her.
"Yuki-chan, no! I-" It was too late. Yuki had seen the mark. Akito's mark.
"Kira-chan…did Akito do this to you?" Yuki demanded. Yuki averted her eyes away, not daring to look at her friend. "Did he?" Kira still did not answer. "Kira, answer me! I told you to be careful and this happened!"
"Yuki-chan, he took my…he took my first kiss, and I didn't like it," she wept, and buried her face in her hands.
Hearing this, Yuki's heart broke. Akito got to her before he could, but she didn't like it. Something precious was stolen from her, by her own best friend.
"Kira-chan, I'm so sorry," Yuki whispered, pulling Kira into a hug. "He took something from you that you'll never get back. I know he's your best friend and all, Kira-chan, but that wasn't right. Your first kiss should have been taken by someone you have feelings for."
Kira snuggled closer to Yuki, he was making her feel a lot better. Feeling better, she smiled up at him and he smiled back. Their smiles fell, however, one they began to stare at each other, their eyes boring into the others. Slowly, they came closer together. Closer and closer. Bit by bit. The space between them shrinking. Until their lips met.
Yuki's kiss was different from Akito's. Soft and loving, yet passionate. And Kira liked it, she really did. Her heart was racing, pounding in her chest. Yuki's as well. After they broke away, they didn't kiss again. Instead they laid down and fell asleep in each other's arms.
Ever Ever Ever After
Months have come and gone ever since that day. Each day, Kira was broken inside. Her heart torn between two people. Who did she love more? Yuki? Akito? Who would she return her ardor to? When she saw Yuki, she could read the pain in his eyes. When she visited Akito, the growing anger was painfully obvious.
Kira wanted so bad to choose the one she loved most, but this wasn't like picking what you wanted to eat for lunch. Whatever it was, it wouldn't really matter in the future. Picking the one person you truly love, that's hard.
Tears sprung to her eyes. "I love them both…Who am I in love with?" She drifted to sleep, a dream flooding her mind.
Kira was walking. And walking. There was nothing and all she did was continue to walk. Closer and closer, until she began to fall. Further and further Kira fell. The nothingness beneath her faded, as a light, bright as sun, enclosed her. Kira's fragile hands covered her eyes until the walloping feeling in her stomach disappeared. She removed her hands and opened her eyes. The rushing feeling surrounding her was gone and replaced by a sense of floating. She floating down into someone's arms. Seeing who's face it was, warmth flooded her body. It was…
Kira awoke, feeling as if a weight was lifted off her shoulders. A bright smile lit her face as she whispered, "I know who I'm in love with."
Oh Ever Ever After
Kira chose who she loved most and it was the best decision of her life. He treated her right and loved her to no end. He was very protective of her, yes, but he made her happy. She stayed friends with the other and the relationship between them was not ruined. Kira was glad that she chose…
"Kira-chan, are you coming?" the one she loved asked and pulled on her hand.
She smiled, seeing the happiness dance in his eyes, "Of course."
…Yuki.
"Aishiteru," Yuki whispered, a smiling lacing on his lips.
"Aishiteru Yuki-chan," Kira replied, snuggling up to him.
May their love last Forever After.
