~Sasuke’s Pov~
I dived into the pool, grabbed Rayne by her waist and pulled her to the surface. “Rayne.” I whispered to her. She didn’t speak, she didn’t flinch, she didn’t even move. “Rayne.” I whispered a little louder. I pulled her out of the pool and shook her. “Rayne wake up!” I shouted. She just lay there, in my arms, unmoving.
Gaara walked over and checked her pulse. “She doesn’t have a pulse, I think she needs CPR.” He said.
“I’ll do it.” I said.
“No. I will.” A voice said. Everyone turned to see who spoke. It was him, the dude who danced with Rayne. I glared at him. “I mean after all, this whole thing wouldn’t have happened if I hadn’t asked her to dance with me.” He walked over me and took Rayne out of my arms.
He began to do CPR on Rayne. As I watched I had a sudden urge to throw up. Rayne’s eyes fluttered open. “What happened?” She said faintly.
“I don’t know.” The dude said.
“Stacey hit your head with her shoe.” I said.
“I was knocked out because of a shoe? Now that’s embarrassing.” Rayne said and blushed. She looked the dude in the eyes. “Chad, why were you kissing me?” She asked.
“I wasn’t kissing you, I was doing CPR, and you were out cold.” Chad said.
“Chad, you’re my hero.” Rayne said. She kissed Chad on the cheek, he turned bright red.
“W-well actually Sasuke p-pulled you out of the w-water.” Chad stuttered.
“Did he really?” Rayne said. She looked over at me and smiled. “Thank you Sasuke.”
“It was nothing.” I mumbled. She stared at me.
“Oh my god, you’re bleeding.” Chad stated. Rayne touched the back her head and brought her hand in front of her face, it was covered with her blood. She screamed. “Calm down Rayne.” Chad said and held her. “When I was living in Scotland, I was taught paramedic procedures.”
“You lived in Scotland?” Rayne asked. Chad nodded his head. “Where else have you lived?”
“Well there was France, England, Ireland, China, Egypt, America, Costa Rica, Peru, Australia, Siberia, Vietnam, New Zealand, Cuba, Germany, Cana-“
“Okay we get you’ve been to a lot of places.” I muttered.
“Wow you really have.” Rayne said. She was gazing into Chad’s eyes, suddenly she grabbed her head.
“What is it Rayne?” Chad asked worriedly.
“I feel so dizzy, my head hurts, I’m in great pain.” She said. Chad started hugging her.
“Don’t worry, everything will be alright.” He murmured into her ear. He picked her up bridal style. “We need to get her to my room, that’s where all my medical stuff is.”
“Can someone tell me why we aren’t going to the school nurse, or a hospital for that matter?!” Temari said.
“If we go there, they’ll ask questions and most likely expel Rayne from school for fighting.” Chad said. “Besides my skills are about as good as a doctor’s.” Temari nodded and we all headed over to Chad’s dorm room, leaving Ino, Britney, and Stacey behind.
~1 hour later, Rayne’s POV~
I woke up in a strange room. I started to sit up. “You shouldn’t do that.” A voice next to me said. When my vision cleared, I realized it was Chad.
“Chad? Where am I?” I asked him.
“In my room, I heard you had quite a fight out there in the pool.” Chad said.
“Yeah, it was kind of fun kicking Ino’s butt.” I said and smiled.
Chad smiled and then frowned. “Promise you won’t do anything that stupid ever again.” He said.
“I promise.” I whispered. He held out his pinky, I held out my pinky and shook his. I giggled out how childish it was. There was a cough. I looked over and saw Sasuke sitting there. “Hey Sasuke.”
“Hi.” He said.
“Anyways, what’s the damage to my head?” I asked.
“You have a slight concussion. You should probably stay in bed for about a week; just tell Tsunade that you’re sick.” Chad said.
“Alright.”
I spent the next week in my room, just sitting there doing nothing, Sasuke, Temari, Tenten, Chad, and practically everyone that was my friend visited me everyday during that time, wondering how I was doing. I had come to really like Chad he was perfect in every way possible. When I finally went back to school every single person in all my classes except Ino, Britney, and Stacey asked me why I was out for a week. I always told them the same answer. “I was sick.”
Chad and I were practically inseparable in our classes together, teachers were always getting pissed off at us for talking all the time, but I didn’t care. I was happy when Chad was around.
“What’s the deal with you and Chad?” Tenten asked after school.
“What do you mean?” I asked her.
“Well you guys are like always around each, people are starting to get jealous, not to mention curious.”
“We’re just friends.”
“Do you ever wish you guys were more?”
“Sometimes I wonder what it would be like.” I said and looked out the window we were passing by. There was Chad sitting on a bench reading a book. I sighed. “He’s so hot, don’t you think?”
Tenten laughed. “I think my little Rayne his fallen in love!” I looked at her and we both started laughing. People in the halls stared at us as we walked by. “You guys would be a cute couple.”
“You think so?”
“I think so? I don’t think so. I know so.”
I rolled my eyes. My phone started vibrating. I pulled it out and looked at the screen. “meet me in front of the school. xoxo Chad’ I blushed as I read the xoxo part. Tenten looked at the screen.
“Aww how cute.” She said. “Go on, go meet him.”
I looked at her. “Okay, I’ll talk to you later.” I gave her a hug and ran off to my meeting spot with Chad.
When I got there, I saw Chad standing there, looking kind of sad. He looked in my direction and saw me. He smiled and ran over to me. “Hey.” He said. He gave me a kiss on the cheek.
“Chad!” I exclaimed. “If you act like that people will think we’re dating!” I said while blushing.
“They won’t for long.” Chad said sadly.
I looked at him. He looked like he was at the verge of tears. “Chad, what’s wrong?”
“I’m leaving.” He said faintly.
“What? Can you say that again? I could’ve sworn you just said, ‘I’m leaving.’” I said.
“I’m leaving.” He repeated a little louder.
“Why?”
“My dad wants to move to Spain.”
“Well you’re at a boarding school, can’t your dad move and leave you behind? Here, with me.” I began to cry. “When do you leave?”
“Today, in about 2 minutes.”
“This isn’t fair!” I screamed and broke down sobbing. People began staring at the scene that was happening right in front of them.
“I know it isn’t, but I can’t help it.” He reached over to me and touched my cheek. I looked at him.
“Don’t go.” I begged him.
“I have to.” He said. He leaned toward me and kissed me. There were many gasps and then whispers. The rumors had started, but I didn’t give a crap about the rumors. All that mattered to me right now was the fact that I was kissing a really hot guy and his kiss was amazing. He pulled away when a car horn honked. “I have to go.” He said and gave me one last kiss.
“Good bye.” I whispered. “Don’t forget about me.”
“I never will.” He promised. He ran over to the car and got inside. I watched the car leave, when it was gone, I sat down right where I was standing and broke down crying.
