Scene 2:
( Seamore and Amanda are in break room. They stand in front of water dispenser.)
Seamore: It’s terrible to hear that the shadow (creapy music) came out after THREE whole days! It seems that our town will never be freed from that murdering monster.
Amanda: Yeah I know what you mean. It’s so horrible I fear that if I leave home that my poor little Susie will be killed. You know that Susie can not take care of herself. What will she do when that evil murderer breaks into my house. All she can do is sit there- and do nothing. It would only be a matter of time before he finds her and kills her. I can’t even think of what he would do to her!
Seamore: Yeah, there isn’t much you can do when you are a plant.
Amanda: I know! (Depressed) My poor Susie.
Seamore: I’m sure we will be okay. I mean after all, Fred Ultra is on the case! He will ensure the Shadow (Creapy music) will cause no more harm to our town.
Amanda :You’re right! I feel so much better now!
Cameraman: (walks up and happens to hear conversation) Didn’t you guys hear?
Seamore: Hear what?
Cameraman: Fred Ultra isn’t working the case anymore. He retired saying something like he was searching for his soul mate. They said it on the news. You were the one that announced it!
Seamore: Hm, I must have been gone that one day.
Cameraman: (Rolls eyes and leaves)
Amanda: (About to cry) Now my Susie shall never be safe!
Seamore: (Trying to comfort them) Now now, I’m sure someone will step up. Besides, the Shadow (creapy music) doesn’t attack in our area. It might be millions of years before we ever run into the Shadow (creapy music)
Shadow: (Walks up and gets water) Photo copier is broken again. Some lardo was trying to photo copy his ass. (Drinks) Must have been Harry Butt. What’s up with you?
Amanda: I’m scared that Susie will get attacked by the Shadow (Creepy music)
Shadow: Please, the Shadow (creepy music) would never hurt a plant. He’s a tree hugger!
Seamore: How would you know?
Amanda: Didn’t the news say they saw him go to a college bomb fire? He was the one that brought the wood.
Shadow: (Brushes them off) Just trust me on this! (Walks off)
Amanda: I guess if The said it, we don’t have to worry that much.
Seamore: Yeah, but I’m still not sure. The Shadow (Creepy music) is really dangerous. I bet once the Shadow (Creepy music) starts killing people The will say other wise. The isn’t one for courage. He still sleeps with a blankie!
Amanda: Really? Gossip! Come on! Tell me!
Seamore: He has that AND puppy Pjs.
Amanda: (Chuckles) Puppies.
Seamore: Anyways, I hope someone comes forward to take the case before someone gets hurt or kill.
Amanda: Yeah, it’s only a matter of time.
