Amy awoke in the morning on her own schedule. It was Saturday, and noon was just around the corner. Realizing how late she had slept in, Amy got up in a hurry. Amy went into her kitchen and filled the teapot that way always on her stovetop with water and got out a box of peppermint Celestial Seasonings herbal tea. When the tea finished brewing she sipped it slowly as she walked towards her large comfortable sofa. It was a deep brown and large enough for a team of football players. Amy had decorated the sofa with a leopard print throw blanket and matching pillow. In front of the sofa there was a beautifully crafted coffee table made from mahogany. Amy placed her cup of tea down onto of a coaster on the deep amber table. She picked up the remote to the TV that was conveniently put just before the sofa and turned it on to watch her previously recorded episode of LA Ink. Amy enjoyed watching this show because she had been graced Kat’s friendship a while back. They met randomly out in public and hit it off, they weren’t the best of friends but good enough for her to be able to say ‘I know Kat Von D, we’re friends’, but with both of their packed schedules they rarely ever got to spend time together.

By the time the episode had ended Amy was ready to get out of her apartment and do something. She went up the small flight of stairs in her apartment and back into her upstairs bathroom to take a quick shower. With her wet hair wrapped in a towel, Amy dressed herself in a pair of dark washed skinny jeans, a long emerald green tunic, covered it with a dark gray hoodie and put on a pair of dark gray flats. Amy put on a long necklace that had a silver coated left pendant hanging from it and put on the two rings her father had given her, one with a green gem, and the other with a diamond. She put a small amount of makeup on and brushed and pulled back her damp hair before grabbing a pair of sunglasses and making her way into the kitchen to grab her bag.

That day Amy wandered around LA, getting things here and there that she needed for her apartment, like food and toiletries. Amy got home just as dinnertime rolled around, and although she was used to going a while without eating, Amy and her stomach were starved and more than ready to eat. She quickly made a stir-fry of onions, peppers, and tofu and ate it with satisfaction.

The next two months went by pretty normally for Amy, she went to work at the hospital, came home went to dance at the Millennium Dance Center, went back home, and then slept so she could wake up in the morning and do it all over again. The only abnormal part about the duration of time was the call she got from Ken, asking her to play a roll in an upcoming movie. He needed an amateur dancer, but he knew that Amy would love playing the roll so he called her rather than wasting the money to hold an audition at the last minute. She accept even though she knew that she would have to be working around he dream man. In some ways this excited her less than it made her nervous. She would finally have the chance to hold a conversation with Ryan, but she knew that there was always the chance that he could be completely turned off by her and though she was a complete loser. Whatever the outcome would be Amy was just excited that she had another roll to play, and didn’t have the go through the pain of auditioning to get it.
