[HannaBeth]A Kiss And A Photograph[Nine]

"There is nothing you can do that I have not already done to myself." Long time no post people. Happy reading.

Seth and Hanna walked away from the store, quietly, nothing but traffic noise reaching ears red from embarrassment. Her arm kept brushing his in a delicate manner, the many bangles and bracelets on her arms clinking as she moved. She slipped her hand into his, interlocking their fingers and she turned, smiling meekly, something he would have assumed wasn’t possible until he realized how normal this girl was, regardless of her style and her tattoos and her career. She put their bags on the floor against a wall, which she leant against, pulling him close, his heartbeat racing with panicked excitement.
Wasn’t it traditional for the boy to take the lead?
And then she kissed him.
He guessed tradition wasn’t her thing.
It was all so sudden, like a train derailing, sending him and her into a crunch of gears and passion and intimacy, and then it skids into a field and resides there, quiet motionless, for that moment where they look into each others eyes, and he can see, he can feel how much she wants this moment to continue forever - or for it to at least happen again, and for this to be the first time of many they’d hang out.
She smiles and turns away - and pulls him with her, the moment where someone emerges from the train crash and all the onlookers realize everyone is fine. Her hand is so soft and comfortable, and he feels like he could hold it all day. They walk around a corner - but into someone that she really hadn’t expected to bump into, especially not in PA.
“Audrey!” Hanna said, surprised, her face turning a shade of pink that matched the hair of the girl in front of her, “What are you doing here?”
“I might ask you the same question. Who’s this guy?”
“Um. This is Seth.”
“Ah, right. I repeat - who is he?”
“He’s a junior photographer for the place I was having a shoot at.”
“Oh. Not sticking to the rules anymore, eh?”
“C’mon, those were more guidelines than actual rules.”
“Pssh. Suit yourself. I’m outta here. See you next Friday.”
As she walked away, a carriage of that metaphorical train blew up, sending people and shrapnel and suitcases and seats into the air. One of those pieces of shrapnel felt like it had lodged itself in her heart, refusing to remove itself. One of her best friends decides to turn up at the worst time - and remind her of the ‘rules’ about boyfriends and so such.
“Um, Hanna,” Seth muttered, quietly, “What rules did she mean?”
“Oh, well. We’re only supposed to go out with guys in bands, so you’re extra lucky, cause I made an exception, just for you.”
“Great,” Seth muttered, “I feel bad now.”
“Huh? Why?”
“Cause…I had to cause conflict.”
“Aww, Seth, honey. You’ve not caused any problem. I’ll fix this, promise.”
“Okay then…”
