Flying On Death'sWings (Tsubasa chronicles) #14
Chapter 13 : Flying on death's wings #26
Start:
They all ran over to you and saw that you were cut and bleeding all over. You had a huge stab wound through your gut along with a slash across. You even had cuts on your arms and legs and a very deep one on your cheek. "Oh no....Someone, quick get some hot water towels and I need some cloth to stop the bleeding! We’ll meet back at the inn," shouted Katsumi. So everyone split up while she carried you back to the inn. A few minutes later they arrived with the things they needed. "Alright, I need all the men to go away cause I’ll need to patch her up," So, everyone quickly left.
Syaoran was pacing back and forth outside while Kurogane was tapping his foot impatiently while Fai was sitting down with his head in his hands. "I can’t wait anymore! I want to know if she’s alright!" shouted Fai. Kurogane looked at him and said "Look, you will just have to trust their healing abilities and Sakura’s will to live," "But, with wounds like that there’s almost no chance of her living," said Syaoran. "Damn..." muttered Kurogane.
The next day, the door slid open and a very weary looking Katsumi stepped out. "Is she ok?" asked Fai. "She’s badly hurt but she’ll live. She’s the strongest person I’ve ever seen," Fai rushed past her and she called after him "Don’t go in!" He swung open the door and saw Sakura lying on the bed with her body bandaged and some of her wounds still bleeding. She was wearing her usual pants but her whole front was bandaged up. Syaoran winced at the sight but said nothing. Fai went deathly pale as he fell on his knees next to you. "If I had used my magic powers I could have...I could have helped you! But...I can’t be of any use to you anymore!" he shouted as he punched the ground. "Fai..." said Katsumi pityingly. He felt a warm hand being placed onto his causing him to look up. "Don’t beat yourself up Fai. It’s not your fault," you smiled as you sat up. You had a bandage on your cheek and a few cuts on your face but they were not that bad. "Sakura," You got up and pulled on your sleeveless shirt with the turtle neck as you buttoned up the front. "Let’s go, we’ve got what we’ve come for," you smiled as you put the two necklace halves together with the gems on it. "Alright, to the next dimension then!" beamed Mokona.
You blinked open your eyes and slowly sat up shaking the snow from your hair. "Where are...oh shit," you muttered wide eyed. "What’s wrong?" asked Fai. You just pointed at the sing in front of you and he turned his head and he too went wide eyed. "Oh shit," he muttered. "What’s bitten the two of you?" asked Kurogane while sitting up. "That!" shouted Syaoran. Kurogane looked up and saw a ten foot tall dragon. Not counting the wings. It was a very impressing dragon by looks alone and it was looking right at Sakura who was hiding behind Syaoran. "What the hell?!" shouted Kurogane as he jumped to his feet while unsheathing his sword. "My word, you humans nowadays are so rude," snorted the dragon. "Eh?" said Kurogane with a sweat drop. "Put that sword away right now!" barked a woman with curly long black hair tied into braids. She was just as tall as Kurogane and she glared at him making him falter before putting away his sword. "Really, you knights are becoming really annoying. I told you that I don’t want to be rescued!" she said exasperatedly. "Eh? Knights? Rescued? What are you talking about?" asked Syaoran. "Wait, you mean you aren’t knights?" she asked with a surprised look of interest. "No we aren’t," said Katsumi. "Should have known. With the weird get up and all," she muttered under her breath. Luckily Kurogane didn’t hear. "Would you like some tea?" she asked politely. "Umm...alright," you said as she led everyone into the dining room with the dragon following you. It was absolutely huge. It was big enough to fit ten dragons comfortably. "By the way, where are we?" asked Mayumi with interest. "You mean you don’t know? Well, you’re in the Mountains of Morning," said the dragon. "Oh, I see. Thank you," you smiled. It’s better to be polite than to be dead. Dragons can be quite picky about manners. Too bad Kurogane didn’t know that. "And what’s a dragon doing up here?" said Kurogane. The woman and the dragon looked at him as if he was dumb. "Dragons live in the Mountains of Morning!" she said. "Oh..." "Sir or madam I’m very sorry about my friend’s behavior. We aren’t familiar with this place for we are travelers. We haven’t met any dragons before so we don’t really know how to behave," you apologized. You can’t tell whether a dragon is a female or a male by looking at it so it’s better to be safe than sorry. The dragon smiled widely showing all of its teeth making Sakura and Syaoran flinch. "I really like this girl. She knows her manners. Oh yes, I’m afraid we haven’t introduced ourselves yet. My name is Kazul. I’m the King of Dragons. This is my princess, Cimorene," it said. "How do you do? If you don’t know, the King of Dragons is just a title. It can be for a male or a female. And Kazul is a female," said Cimorene. "It’s nice to meet you, I’m Sakura, these are my sisters Katsumi and Mayumi," you smiled. "Name’s Kurogane," "It’s nice to meet you princess. My name’s Syaoran and this is princess Sakura," said Syaoran as he motioned towards Sakura who bowed shyly and said "it’s nice to meet you," "Hi! My name’s Mokona Modoki! But you can call me Mokona for short!" jumped Mokona from Kurogane’s shoulder. "Hey Kazul, isn’t this a Snow Gisele?" asked Cimorene. "I think so," "Mokona is Mokona! I’m not a snow what-cha-ma-thingy," "That’s Snow Gisele," chuckled Kazul. "And you?" asked Cimorene to Fai. "The name’s Fai D. Flowright. You can call me Fai for short," "You know, you and your friend Sakura and her sisters seem to have a lot of magical powers. Why’s that?" asked Cimorene suspiciously. "Well, I and my sisters just study magic. We were born with magical powers you see," "Like a fire witch," muttered Kazul. "Well, I’m a wizard from my own country Seresu," smiled Fai.
