K2: Hey, can me and my dad sit here?
Me: Sure.
(K2 and K1 sit across from me and my mother)
K1: So where are you ladies from?
Mom: California.
K1: Ohhh.
Mom: I'm going to go order. Sweetie, what do you want?
Me: Anything's fine.
K1: I should order, too. (Parental units go to the back of very long line.)
Me/K2: (Random banter)
K2: Uh, do you know what time it is?
Me: Four forty-five.
K2: I HAVE TO PEE! (Runs to the bathroom)
Me: Okaaaaayyy. (A minute or two passes, in which K2 returns) What was that about?
K2: Oh, my mom's making me do this thing where I pee at exactly four forty-five. My pants are already getting big!!! Look!!! (Wiggles waistband of pants) Are ya looking?
Me: I'm looking!
(K1 and Mom return)
Mom: I think we have to go see Daddy and Alex now.
Me: Okay. (Stands up, along with K2) Bye, Kevin. (Hugs K2)
K2: (singing softly) I'm hugging a pretty girl, and her name is MiMi, and she's an awesome author...and her bra's starting to poke my chest.
Me: (blush) Sorry. Bye.
