The day of the dance came, everyone was buzzing about all day during school. The clock ticked by very slowly. Finally the bell rang. “Hey Rayne!” Temari shouted.
I turned around and saw Temari running towards me. “Hey, what’s up?” I asked.
“Well I was wondering if you wanted to get ready together.” She said.
“Sure I replied.”
~fast forward to the dance~
Temari and I walked into the gym area where the dance was. There were ribbons and banners and stuff everywhere. “Let’s go find everyone.” Temari said. I nodded my head. She walked off and I started to follow her. Somebody grabbed my wrist; I turned around and slapped them in the face. I looked at the person and realized that it was Kiba.
“Oww, why the hell did you do that?” He asked.
“Self defense.” I answered. He stared at me for a minute and then accepted the answer.
“Well, I was wondering do you want to dance?” He asked.
I thought for a minute. “Sure I answered.” We walked onto the dance floor and started dancing to the song Disturbia by Rihanna. [Here is a link to the song: http://youtube.com/watch?v=9vYwF28qsAg ] Temari and Tenten soon joined us. We danced around and acted totally crazy for another few songs.
Temari shouted something over the music and grabbed my shoulder. “What?!” I shouted. “I can’t hear you!”
“What?!” Temari shouted. I was about to open my mouth and shout something when she grabbed me and pulled me away from the dance floor.
“So what were you telling me?” I asked.
“Let’s go find Naruto.” She said.
“Why?”
“Because I have a feeling that a slow dance is coming and I want him to dance with Hinata.” She said. We found the Sasuke, Naruto, Shino, Lee, Sakura, Hinata, Gaara, Kankuro, Choji, Shikamaru, Neji, Shino, Kiba, and Tenten standing in a group outside the dance floor.
“Hey guys!” I said while jumping right into the center of the circle. “Why are you guys just standing here? We should be dancing!” I screamed and then started dancing right there, in the middle of the circle, all by myself. Everybody was staring at me.
“She’s right!” Temari screamed and joined me. Everybody else just kept staring. I grabbed Gaara and tried to get him to dance with us. He just stood there.
“Stop being so boring and dance!” I said, well more like yelled at him. He just kept standing there, so I grabbed Sasuke, he also just stood their. “You guys are so boring!”
“Dance with me!” Temari yelled at Shikamaru. He just stood there. I nudged Temari in the ribs. “Oww, what the hell was that for?”
“You have a thing for Shikamaru don’t you?” I whispered in her ear. She blushed.
“Shut up.” She said.
I rolled my eyes and grabbed Hinata. Ever so slowly she started dancing with me and Temari. I glanced over at Temari.
“C’mon Naruto.” Temari said and grabbed him. She pushed him toward Hinata. [I actually did that to my guy friend once, I push him into this girl he liked and she liked him and I wanted them to dance even though I thought the girl was a total bitch, lol anywayz, so I pushed him into her and then our director of discipline just so happened to be right there, so he started yelling at him about why we shouldn’t push people in dances and stuff, and I was trying so hard not to laugh. Ok back to the story.]
“What the-“ Naruto began to say.
“You’ll thank us later.” Temari and I both said. Naruto shrugged and started dancing with Hinata. After awhile everyone started dancing. Finally the first slow song came.
“Hey Hinata, want to dance with me?” Naruto asked. Hinata blushed ten shades of red and then passed out. We all stared at her unconscious body.
“She’ll wake up soon.” Temari and I said. Someone tapped my shoulder. I turned around and saw Sasuke standing there.
“So Rayne, do you umm want-“ He began to say until I felt another tap on my shoulder. I turned around. It was a boy with dark brown hair, blue eyes, and slightly tan skin.
“Do you want to dance with me?” he asked. I stared at him.
“Sorry, umm, what’s your name?” I asked him.
“I’m Chad, I’m in your drama, geometry, and chemistry classes.” He said. I just kept staring.
“I’m sorry I just can’t seem to remember you, but since you’re not a complete stranger, sure I’ll dance with you.” I said and smiled, he smiled back at me. His smile was amazing. I looked into his eyes and got lost in them. We walked to the dance floor and started dancing.
~Temari’s Pov!~ [yes we are doing someone else’s pov]
“Hey who’s the hotty dancing with Rayne?” I asked Tenten.
Tenten looked at me. “I think his name is Chad…or maybe it’s Brad, I’m not sure.” Tenten said. “Why do you want to know?”
“Look at him Tenten, he is like hot!” I said. There was a silence between us. “They would make such a cute couple, don’t you think Sasuke?” I said while turning to Sasuke. He glared and walked off. “What’s his problem?” I asked Tenten.
“I don’t know.” She replied. Neji walked over.
“Would you like to dance?” He asked Tenten. She blushed.
“Sure.” She replied. I sighed.
~Rayne’s Pov~
“You’re a great dancer.” I said while looking into his amazing blue eyes.
“You too.” He said. “Rayne is such a pretty name.”
“Chad is such a umm, cool name?” I said. He laughed.
“Your name is so unique and interesting, just like you.” He said. I blushed.
“You barely know me.”
“We’re going to have to solve that problem, now won’t we?”
“Of course.” I replied.
“Do you have any family?” My smile disappeared. “Oh I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to make you upset.”
“No, no, it’s okay. You didn’t know. My mom, dad, and my sister Alex died when I was six.” I said.
“Oh, I’m-“
“Don’t say you’re sorry, I mean you didn’t do anything, did you?”
“No.”
“Then why say sorry? Anyways, tell me about your family.” I said with a small smile.
“Well, my dad is a lawyer, my mom abandoned me when I was five and I have an older brother who’s twenty-two.” He said.
“What’s your brother’s name?”
“Brad.” He laughed.
“Chad, Brad, well that’s interesting.” I said. He laughed. His laugh comforted me for some reason, being here, dancing with him felt so right, I never wanted it to end. The song ended.
“I hope to see you around.” Chad said. I smiled; he kissed my cheek and walked away.
“Wait!” I shouted, but he was gone.
“Who was that?” Temari walked up and asked me.
“His name is Chad.” I said still staring at where Chad walked off to.
“And what is your relationship with Chad?”
“I think cupid paid me a visit.” I said. Temari grabbed my arm.
“C’mon, let’s get something to drink.” She said. We went to the punch bowl and Ino there.
“You little bitch!” she screamed at me. I stared at her.
“What did I do now?” I said in an annoyed tone.
“You were just dancing with my ex-boyfriend you bitch.” She said. I stared at her.
“Well he’s your ex isn’t he?”
“Yes.”
“Good, then I hope he doesn’t mind me doing this.” I grabbed a glass of punch and splashed it on her. She screamed. “I hope that it ruins your ugly white dress.” I said. I grabbed another glass of punch and walked away.
“Not so fast you bitch!” She screamed and ran toward me. I stopped walking and looked behind me. Ino jumped on my back and knocked me over. She sat on my back, took off her shoe and started hitting my head with it.
“GET OFF OF ME!” I yelled. Temari grabbed Ino’s arm and pulled her off of me. I ran to the food table and picked up the bowl of punch and splashed it all over her. She grabbed a bowl of salsa and poured it all over me. I walked up to her and slapped her. She grabbed my arms and pushed me onto the table full of food. I grabbed the sleeve of her dress and pulled on it, hard, it ripped, exposing part of her bra. She grabbed my hair that I had curled and pulled. I screamed in pain. Everyone was staring at the fight that was happening. I started to wonder why the teachers weren’t doing anything.
“Fight! Fight! Fight!” The people started to chant.
“STOP!!!!” a voice screamed. Everyone went silent. The only noise heard was the music that was being played. Tsunade stepped out of the crowd. “I don’t know who started this and I don’t care. I want you out of the dance right now!” She yelled at us.
Ino, Britney, Stacey, Temari, and I walked out of the dance. “This is your entire fault!” Ino screamed at me.
“You’re the one who couldn’t stand seeing her ex dance with another girl!” I screamed at her. She jumped on me. I spun around. Temari pulled her off me. I pushed her at the pool gate, which was surprisingly unlocked. She tripped and fell. Britney grabbed my arm and pushed me towards Ino who had just stood up. Ino pushed me. I pushed her back. She grabbed my dress and ripped it down the side, exposing part of my black short shorts I wore underneath my dress. She turned around to leave, I jumped onto her back. She ran around trying to get me to get off, Stacey grabbed me, Temari jumped on Stacey trying to make Stacey let go, and Britney ran to grab Temari, but tripped in the process.
“Let me go!” Ino screamed. Britney grabbed Temari’s ankle, and attempted to pull her off Stacey’s back. Temari started to slip off, she grabbed Stacey’s arm right when Temari hit the ground with her knees. Stacey lost her balance and started to fall into the pull, dragging everyone except Britney with her.
“My dress is totally ruined!” Stacey screamed. I punched Ino in the cheek. Ino attempted to drown me by pushing head underwater. I elbowed her in the ribs, she let go of me.
“Stop it!” Britney screamed. Everybody froze. “I’ve had enough of this fighting! Can’t we just let it go? Tonight this is the dance we are supposed to have fun!” Everyone stared at her. Temari got out of the pool and walked over to Britney.
“Britney, you’re right, we’re supposed to have fun.” Temari said. Britney smiled. Temari pushed Britney into the pool, when Britney resurfaced, Temari said, “And my idea of fun is kicking your asses!” Temari dived into the pool and grabbed Britney’s ankle pulling her underwater. Stacey slapped me. The fighting continued for another 10 minutes.
“STOP!!!!!” Somebody screamed.
“Please tell that isn’t Tsunade.” I whispered. We all turned to look at the person who spoke. It was Tenten.
“You guys.” Tenten said and sighed. “What will I ever do with you?” We continued to stare at Tenten. “Get out of the water.” She said. Nobody moved. “I said get out of the water!” Still nobody moved. Tenten sighed. Ino moved toward where Tenten was standing, she grabbed her ankle and dragged Tenten into the pool. Tenten screamed.
“You did not just pull my friend into the pool!” I screamed.
“I think I just did!” Ino said. I jumped on Ino’s back and began pulling at her hair. Something hit my head, I let go of Ino and fell into the water of the pool, and everything slowly began to go black.”
~Sasuke’s Pov~
I was exiting the dance with Naruto, Kiba, and Gaara. “I wonder where Rayne is.” Kiba said. “The dance isn’t any fun without her.”
“Yeah, this dance is so boring without her. Believe it!” Naruto said. We kept walking.
“You did not just pull my friend into the pool!” somebody shouted. It sounded a lot like Rayne.
“Did you guys hear that?” Gaara asked. We all nodded.
“It sounds like it’s coming from the pool.” I said.
“I think I just did!” Somebody else shouted. We started to run towards the pool. When we got to the pool, we saw that the gate was wide open. We ran into the pool area, and saw Tenten, Rayne, Temari, Ino, Britney, and Stacey fighting in the pool. Stacey hit Rayne’s head with the heel of her shoe. Rayne fell off of Ino’s back, the pull started to turn red around her.
“Rayne!” I shouted and then jumped into the pool.
