Butterfly Kisses (A Shino Love Story)
Chapter 3 : Butterfly Kisses (A Shino Love Story) Chapter Two
Yay to chapter two! :D Just so you know...this idea isn't COMPLETELY original...I stole it from a different story. Well...the begining of it anyways. But I'm changing a lot of it. :D I dun't remember who I stole it from though...
Haunting Her Dreams
The next morning Hoshi awoke in her bed. She blinked the sleep from her eyes and sat on the edge of her bed, trying to remember what happened. She remembered lying in the feild and then Shino picked her up, to carry her home because she refused to walk.
Then she fell asleep in his arms, against his chest.
"How the hell did I get in my bed?" she asked herself aloud.
"Shino carried you up to your room. He told me you fell asleep or something." Ino answered as she stopped inHoshi's doorway.
"Oh...wait, what time is it?" Hoshi questioned, standing up and getting dressed.
"Eh, about 5:55 in the morning, why?" Ino asked as she stretched.
"Because Ino, I have practice at 6!" Hoshi shouted as she grabbed a bottle of water and an apple.
Hoshi began running, full speed, towards the feild. She hat this pet peeve that got on her every nerve; being late and scolded for it. As she reached the feild she slid to a stop, not picking up her feet for about a meter and a half. When she finally stopped she was standing right next to the others.
"You're fast Hoshi!" Kiba commented.
"Thanks. Am I late?" she mumbled.
"Nope, right on time!" Kiba laughed as the Kurenai appeared.
They all sat down and began discussing things. Hoshi was sitting criss cross withKiba on her left andHinata on her right. She bit into the large red apple that was her breakfast, juice dribbling down her chin slowly.
---
Shino's POV:
I watched as she bit into the crimson apple. A small drop of juice dribbled slowly, teasingly down her chin. I had the strangest urge to go over to her and lick it off of her chin. Why I'm not sure but it was getting harder and harder to resist.
I was barely resisting when Akamaru jumped off of Kiba's head and trotted over to her. He then jumped in her lap and lapped the sweet juice off of her chin. She giggled as she hugged the dog. Kiba smiled and put his arm around her shoulder, hugging her. It was brotherly but for some reason I couldn't help the small growl that sounded in the back of my throat.
Kiba, who was sitting next to me, quirked an eyebrow and smirked. A small blush creeped on my cheeks as I looked from Hoshi to Kurenai-Sensei.
---
Yes, Hoshi noticed that Shino was slightly jealous when Kiba hugged her and that he wanted to lick the juice from her face, in the most none-weird way possible. But, she didn't pay any attention to that all. She looked from the puppy that was snoozing happily in her lap back to her sensei.
"...now for your assignment," Kurenai continued, "It's about surviving in another's invorment. Since there is an even about of people we won't do three to a household at a time. We're going to do partners."
"I don't understand Kurenai-Sensei." Hoshi whispered.
"We will be trading homes with partners. You will each get a partner and that partner will stay at your house with you, learning how things work in your household. Then afterthree daysof living with each other at the first person's house we will switch and go to the other partner's. Understand?" Kurenai explained.
"Hai, but who are our partners?" Kiba asked.
"Well that's where things were funny. I was going to do boys with boys and girls with girls, but that won't work. Only because Shino's family is into bugs and Kiba's family areinto dogs so fleas wouldn't be something they would accept and they'd have to kill them. Which in turn, would probably make Shino die inside. So I decided to do Shino with Hoshi because they're both into the whole bug thing and Hinata with Kiba because they're like brother and sister." Kurenai laughed.
"Oh...okay!" Hoshi giggled, "But when are we gonna start?"
"Today. Oh and you'll be going to Hinata and Shino's houses first." Kurenai laughed.
They all paled a little but nodded none the less. Kurenai then smiled at them and waved before disappearing.
"This is sweet! I get to live with the poke-masters!" Kiba laughed.
"You know...if Neji were gay this would be so funny." Hoshi commented.
"How?" Hinata whispered.
"Cause, with that Byakugan thing you can see through clothes and stuff...so...he could be checking Kiba out and looking at his 'goods' whenever he wanted." Hoshi explained as she began cracking up.
"Haha, very funny." Kiba snarled as he grabbed Akamaru and stood up.
"Come on Hinata, let's go to your house!" he chimed as he grabbed her by the wrist.
Hoshi watched as they disappeared quickly. She shook her head and let out a soft laugh. She then stood up and streched her hand to a still silent Shino.
"Are you okay, you've been really quiet?" She mumbled after he stood up.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Come on, I'll help you pack." He muttered as he began walking to her house.
When they reached her house they walked up the stairs without a word and into her room. Ino burst in through her bedroom door as they were packing. She was acting extremely bubbly.
"What do we have here?" she giggled.
"Get out Ino." Hoshi growled.
"Aw, you want some 'alone-time' with Bug-Boy?" she teased.
Hoshi stood up and dragged her out of her room.
"He's not a freaking toy. He had feelings! Besides how would you like it if I called you Pig-Girl or maybe Blond-Bitch?" Hoshi hissed as she slammed her bedroom door.
"Thanks Hoshi." Shino whispered as he continued to help her pack her bag.
She smiled at him and hugged his waist. "No problem, she needs to learn how to treat others better."
They continued to pack in silence, both of their heads full of thoughts.
"Alright, I think that's it!" Hoshi chimed after a few more minutes and closed the bag.
She lifted it off her bed and squeaked as the weight of the packed bag began pushing her backwards, towards the ground. Suddenly the weight was gone and she looked to Shino. He was holding the bag quietly and began carrying it out of her room with her following.
"It figures you can carry that thing. I mean, if you can carry me then you ought to be able to carry that." She giggled as they began walking towards Shino's house.
He smiled shyly at her. Though she couldn't see it, she could sense it.
When they arrived at Shino's he opened the door and let her walk in first. She stepped inside shyly and quietly, not making a single sound. Shino closed the door behind him and cleared his throat.
Shino made a fist and opened it, sendinga flying beetle to find his father. The beetle came back with a man who looked too much like Shino to not be his father. He tilted his head at Shino.
"This is Hoshi Yamanaka. She's staying with us for our mission Kurenai-Sensei gave our team." Shino explained.
The man nodded. "I'm Shibi Aburame, Shino's father, it's nice to meet you." The man said in a low, unused tone as he shook her tiny hand.
Hoshi nodded slowly and sort of took a step so that she was standing more behind than next to Shino. She grabbed onto his coat slightly and smiled weakly.
"Not too fond of bugs are we?" Shibi laughed, taking her reaction the wrong way.
"N-no! I mean...no sir, I-I like bugs...it's just I'm...well I'm a bit shy is all." Hoshi stuttered.
Shibi nodded and walked off without as much as another word. Shino began walking up the stairs, Hoshi trailing behind. When he reached his room he pushed the door open with a kick and sat her bag on the floor.
"Shino...can I ask you something that's been bugging me?" Hoshi whispered.
He nodded as he took a seat next to her on his bed.
"Well...I was just wondering...why your family wears those big coats and glasses."
He sighed. "I get asked that a lot, actually. It's because it intimidates the enemy if he cannot see hisopponant's true face."
Hoshi smiled sheepishly. "So I'm 'the enemy' then?"
"No..." he mumbled.
She blinked up at him. "Can I see...?" she mumbled.
Shino let out another sigh but nodded again. Hoshi smiled and reached up for his glasses, slowly. Shino sat completely still as she slid the glasses off of his face. She smiled at his soft eyes. She then reached for the zipper on his coat. She, for the first time, looked him straight in the eyes. He nodded ever so lightly.
She carefully let the zipper slide down. When it was open wide enough for her to part it she stopped. She then moved the flaps apart and stared at his soft face.
"You're cute." She giggled, then clamped her hand over her mouth, realizing she had said it outloud.
Shino turned a light shade of pink and pulled her hands from her mouth. He then leaned forward so he was only a tiny distance from her face.
"You're pretty cute yourself." He mumbled as he pulled back and stood up, putting his glasses on and zipping his jacket.
"Dinner." He explained with one word as he walked out of his room with Hoshi hot on his heels.
Hoshi sat on Shino's bedroom floor, staring at the ceiling. Since Shino only had one bed in his room and no guest room she had the floor. Not that she minded though, Shino had said the bed was her's but she refused.
"Goodnight Hoshi." Shino said in a deep voice as he gave her shoulder a light squeeze and crawled into his bed.
"Night Shino." Hoshi whispered.
She lay her head down and drifted into a fretful sleep.
.:A little before dawn:.
Hoshi woke up to her heart ramming in her chest and screams sounding in her ears. Although Shino's house was completely silent, apart from the steady chirping of the crickets outside, she couldn't get the screams to fade.
She had been having the nightmare that had been haunting her sleep for a while now. She remembers it clearly. It was actually a memory of a true occourance.
Her mother had gone psyco and killed her older brother brutally infront of Hoshi, then attempted to Hoshi herself. Her mother did go to psycatric nin for help and she was released a few years later but that memory never faded.
Hoshi was never the same and she often lost sleep because of the nightime terrors.
Hoping to escape the memory, she climbed out of Shino's window. Giving him a sad smile as she saw him sound asleep, before scaling the wall to the roof.
She sat down and began crying. She let out the tears that she had held back for years. She sat there alone, cold, insecure, and depressed.
She had been crying for probably about 10 minutes before sleep grasped her in a violent way, making her black out.
Shino's POV:
I woke up to soft sobs andthump on the roof. Expecting the worst, I silently climbed onto the roof. There I saw Hoshi.
She was crumpled into a ball, loooking abandoned and hurt. Her face was drenched in tears and she seemed like she had passed out from exhaustion. I walked over to her quietly and sat down next to her.
"Oh Hoshi." I whispered as I put her head in my lap and began to stroke her hair absentmindedly.
.:A couple of hours later:.
It was then that the sun slowly and mockingly began rising. I watched as the light hit her face and she stirred.
Her eyes began to flutter open and she stared at me. "Sh-Shino?" she stuttered.
Hoshi's POV:
I opened my eyes slowly and saw a sight that shocked me. Cradling my head, was none other than Shino with a look of pity and sadness on his face.
"Sh-Shino?" I choked out.
