Today is he first day of this crazy place where they're supposed to help you. They decided that it would be agood idea to put blindfolds on us. Everyone put the blindfolds on and said their names and why they were here in a random order. The counselors would walk around and tap on your shoulder to go next. While I was sittingthere listening to what put them in this place. There were a lot of people there, mostly guys who wore a lot of black and had long " EMO " hair if you will and were actually quite nice. Though, there was this one girl who was talking about what put her in this fucked up place.

" Hey, uhm my name is Ember, not Amber, Ember.... Well... The reason I'm here is because my step father beat me and my brother just stood there and watched because he was concerned with his own safety instead of trying to protect me from him. Everyday I would come home to him bashing my head into everything. Kicking me down just because he had a bad day and I was in his way. I was sick of it, I just ran away... never went back. I was living with my friends for a while. Then my real mom found me one day and took me home far away to New York. She put me in this place to get help from it because I cut so much and have attempted suicide twice. Thats why I'm here. I want to get better. " Thats what Ember said while I was thinking wow she's lucky she didn't have it as bad as I did.

I'm sitting here another hour waiting and listening to peoples problems and situations with my blindfold still on.Wow Ok one of the counselors just tapped on my shoulder " Ok so my name is Xavier well I've had a really difficult time in my life so I've decided now was the time to get better. I've been beaten, robbed, jumped and a bunch of other things, but just to put a cherry on top of that wonderful year, my parents were murdered right in front of me and they almost got my older brother too, or so I thought. I called the cops and bashed the killer in the head with a wine bottle and shot him with my dads .38 magnum.... I didn't think he got my brother but I picked him up and was holding him in my arms on the couch and I felt something wet on his chest. I tried to see what it was, but it was dark he just opened his eyes and said " I was shot take all my money from under my bed and mom and dads too, help yourself just don't do anything stupid boy, I love you." and then he just died.... It got worse from there and I still can't believe all of this happened in a year. I went into a foster home for a while with the money I took from under everyones bed. They were OK but they sent me to one of these places last month and I ran away with all of the money. I had a lot of money on me.... I took a train to New York and now I'm living with my friend Journey. Thats my story."

I was the last one to go. Everyone took their blindfolds off and they gave us our keys to our rooms. Its 2 to a room and were supposed to be " buddys and keep an eye on one another" Thats just a complicated way of saying don't do anything stupid. I walk into my room and I see this cool looking kid hes pretty quiet. He just looked at me and kept to unpacking his things. I said " hey I'm Xavier and you are?" " My name is Rain actually." He said. " Do you know who Ember is?" I asked. " Yea actually she is the one with the big blue streak in her hair." " Oh okay cool you know what room shes in?" " Naw check with Jeremy the really tall counselor." " haha iight thanks."

I went up to Jeremy and asked him where Embers room was and he said "its upstairs where the rest of the rooms are." " Okay I know that much thanks but whats her room number?" " ahh the right question, shes in room number 34 with Krystal." "Thanks... " I went up to room 34 and the door was open so I kind of just peeked in to see if anyone was in there and I saw a girl with a red streak in her hair and I knew that was Krystal. I know her from school. She was in a few of my classes last year.. and I remember on the last day of school she ran up to me kissed my cheek and screamed 08! was out of it and I just walked away but anyway. I went up to her and said wow didn't know you were here and I asked where Ember was. " Shes over there putting a few books away." " alright thanks." " no problem" I went over to Ember and said " hey my names Xavier you must be Ember, right?"" I know who you are and yes I am what can I help you with" " Well I just thought I'd say that your story was heart breaking and.... WAIT how do you know me?" " haha I just know you. I'm one of your friends on Myspace and I've seen you in school." " Oh yeah, I've seen you. " " Oh quit the act, ahaha I've missed you so much!!!!!" " I've missed you too how have you been?" " Good very good, ever since I've been in the hospital I haven't seen anyone I knew, I was really hoping to go to your 16th birthday party, I'm really sorry I couldn't make it, they wouldn't let me out of the looney bin... what did you get how are things " " Don't worry about it its really fine, I got a car and I wish you were there, but I drove there and tried to visit you, but the day I went was the day you got out... and I saw you pull out of the parking lot... I haven't seen you since, until now" " I have one question....... Are you still with that freak..?" " NO! I dumped her when you had your accident...." " oh wow really, why?" " Uhm I'll tell you just not right now, just being that there are people around and its late." I knew she liked me, and I like her a lot, I just can't tell her that yet, I don't know how she feels now....

As I was going to bed I realized that the door to our dorm was still open... I got up to close it and I saw that Embers was still open too, I went to go tell her that hes was still open and I saw her pop out to go close it I guess. Or not... She came over to me and said "I wanted to tell you that ever since you were going out with Bekkyy ( The girl before " That freak" ) I realized I just don't "Like" you anymore, I fucking love you... I just thought I'd tell you that before you go to bed." She started to walk away and I pulled her back and kissed her. I whispered in her ear " I've ALWAYS loved you" I kissed her cheek and she gave me a huge hug and went back to her room and went to bed. This has been one hell of a day. Night.
