Chapter 6 : Dreams Do Come True! (Zuko) Chapter 5

ok. Daniel took me to his house. he told me that he was going to see Zuko Saturday and that he would take me. iwashappy and left.
She looked up and said "Hey baby. how was your day?" she smiled.
"uh..." I sighed "I got in a fight with Erika. Then I went to go see Daniel but he wasn't there so I looked for him at Max's house. Afterwards the two of us watched Twilight. Then I came here. Can I go with Danny tomorrow?" I asked as politely as I couls manage without pleeding.
"Hmm. 'Can I go with Danny tomorrow?..." Where are you going?" Mom asked in a curious voice.
"I don't know. He said it was a surprise. but how dangerous can calm old Danielget?" I asked. "Plus, if I needed to I soulc kick his and Max's butt at the same time." I knew that wasn't true (Daniel was pretty strong compared to me.) but anything to get to go.
My mom turned back around and said "Ok. I guess, but be back by 3:30."
"Ok. Thanks Mom! I love you!" I went and kissed her cheek. then I remembered. I should call and tell him my curfew and everything.
I ran to my room and jumped on my bed. Ok. I thought. Time to call my dude. I picked up the old fashion phone next to my bed and dialed the number (my phone's one of those old ones you need to spin around to get the number.) . The phone rang twice before some one picked it up.
"Hello?" I heard a woman say.
I used my Woman-like voice and "Hello. Is Daniel there?"
"Sure." I heard her walking "Danny, some one is on the phone."
She handed it to him. "Hello?" This time it was him.
"Hi! what you dooing?" I asked happily.
"Uh..... nothing." Daniel sounded hesitant.
"Daniel." I answered surprised he didn't no it was me.
"Oh! Hi Dani. How's life since ten minutes ago?" I am the only person that ever calls him Daniel anymore so he knew it was me. "You sound different over the phone."
I laughed quietly "Sorry. It's a habit. I sound like my mom when I'm on the phone. It's my prettier voice."
"OK. What did you want?" He asked getting to the point.
"I just wanted to call and ask you when to pick you up." I smiled to myself for reasons I didn't know.
"OK. See ya later!" I hung up.
He was smiling to act like he was going to have a wonderful day for his mom. "Bye Mom! I love you!" He shut the door and his smile faded. "And we're offto see the emo kid."
I jokingly punched his arm and sat in the passenger's seat. "Hellio Danny." I said calmly.
"Hi Dani." He raced out the frive way.
Curiousity was killing me "Daniel, where are we going?"
He answered "The movies."
I laughed "You were going to meet Zuko at the movies?"
"No."
"Well then what are we doing here?" I asked.
He parked (the theatre is extremely close) "We are going to the movies. I need some entertainment. Besides I want to see the new movie 'Kung Fu Panda.'" He got out and smiled. I had to smile back. "Thanks to you I can go. I told my mom I was going to spend a few hours hanging out with you.So she gave me money. I decided WE can go to the movies early and get a discount."
"That was smart. Let's go!" I walked with him up to the theatre.
Two Hours Later
Daniel looked at his watch. "Crap! We're gonna be late! C'mon!" He grabbed me by the wrist and dragged me all the way to the go-cart. We jumped in and drove away.
"Where are we going?" I asked again.
"Wing Stop."
I was shocked "Wing Stop as inthe hot wingplace?"
"That's it."
When we got there it was empty, for once,except for a tall teenage boy. He was wearing a red zip-up jacket with the hood over his head. I could see his dark hair coming ot of it. His head turned toward me.
We got inside and sat next to him "Zuko? Is that you?"
He put his head down "I'm sorry Daniella."
Daniel was ordering one original hot for me, one bbq for himself, and atomic hot for Zuko. I replied "You shouldn't be. I'm fine. Come back home with me."
He shook his head and said "I can't. I might burn you again. You of all people should know how my temper gets."
"Psh. Whatever. I don't care. I still want you. Please come with me." I had unconsciously was holding his hand while I begged.
I continued to beg and he continued to say no. It was hurting me worse than that stupid burn he gave me. I decided to try it again. I knew he would say no but I just had nothing else to say at the moment. "Zuko?"
"Mrant?" I think he what but I wasn't sure so I just went with it.
"Zuko. I need you to come back. How am I supposed to help you if you aren't even with me? Just please come back. I am begging you." I couldn't help but make a sad face. Hey!I was depressed.
"Alright." Zuko said I thought I heard it right. Could it be true? Is he really going to come with me?
I jumped up to hug Zuko as hard as I could but pushing my stomach that much hurt so I just stopped and kissed his cheek. I blushed. I hadn't meant to do that but I did. Now I was going to die. He's gonna kill me. I'm dead.
But Zuko didn't kill me. It was strange he didn't hurt me. Then I saw him get up and walk behind me. "I have to go real quick." and then He kissed me back and whispered very quietly in my ear "That was nice. Thank you."
I looked at Daniel in shock. What the heck? "Dan- did- that- just- happen?" I pointed my thumb at Zuko talking to the register guy.
Daniel sat there. His eyes were wide. It wasn't a huge make-out or anything but all the same it was a kiss. Zuko sat next to me and smiled.
"I've gotta pee." I ran as fast as I could to the door. What did I just say? Am I some kind of idiot? I was in the bathroom and I dropped to the floor. I laid my head down on it. It was cold. A minute later I decided to get up. I stuck my head in the sink and turned on the water. I feel better now. I dried my face and walked out.
Zuko called me "Daniella! There isn't enough room for us all in the go-cart but Daniel and I figured he can drive and I can sit in the passenger's seat and you can sit on my lap." He smiled like that was the best idea ever.
"Zuko I-"
"Don't worry about falling off. I'll put the seatbelt over both of us and I'll hold in to you really tight to be safe." Zuko was being really weird today.
My conscionce told me to say no but I didn't know how else we could get home. OH! "How about you and Daniel go and drop you off at home then Daniel can come back and get me?"
Daniel said from the car "That would take too much gas."
"Oh. Right sorry." I frowned as I sat on Zuko's warm lap. He was so hot, I had to put my hands under my legs.
The ride was terrible but at least Zuko was home. No matter how awkward that may be.
