Eternal Rest -A7X-

"mariah, mariah come out and play" they hissed at me. i was running, funning as fast as i can. they were running after me snickering laughing. "mariah baby we wont hurt you come out and play with us" i heard one particluar voice. his voice was smooth, almost hypmotising.
"mariah dont, run come on we need to get away" sara said. they were after her too.
"come on you deserve whats coming to you" they said agian. we ran to the church and closed the doors behind us. we ran to the pillar and sat. we heard them banging on the doors. their crying burning my ears. "MARIAH" they boomed it echoed through out the church. the banging continued. they couldnt get in. this place was holy and sacred and the devils children couldnt get you..but this was the only place they couldnt get you. every where else they could capture and turn you into what they are doing out there.
"mariah what are we going to do" sara asked i just looked at her scared out of my life. i shook my head "i dont know" and we sat there listening to the taunts from evil outside.
"mariah mariah wake up" sara said softly shaking me. i felt the warm rays of the sun on my closed eyelids. i opended them and stared at the roof of the church. the sun's ray's peeking through the glass ceiling.
"come on we have to find a way out of here, they are going to be back later." she said i could see fear in her eyes. i got up and we walked to the huge doors that kept them out side. we walked and noticed that everything out side was the same as it was yesterday morning. but that was the thing. as soon as night falls the city changes. people lurk around in the dark and prey on innocent people. fights erupt and people die.
we left the sanctuary of the church and run home preying thatour house is still there. we walked inside to see the place was trashed. i stepped inside, the tv was smashed the couch was ripped open. you could see claw marks on the couch. china was smashed.
"oh god they did this?" i whispered as i stepped over broken chairs and glass.
"omg mariah look" gasped sara. she pointed to the dinign room wall.
WE WILL GET YOU! was written in blood. i was scared now. they broke past the prayer line thatwe put on the house. i turned to her
"ok we need to get everything we need that isnt broken and go to the market to get food." she nodded and we split up to get our belongings. we arrived at the market and bought all the food and water that we could and headed back to the church. we would be living there for a while. noone would notice that we werent at home. they killed everyone we cared about. now they were after us and we are loosing everything we have to keep safe.
i looked at my watch. we had exactly 5 hours until the sun went down. we walked in the church and was greeted by the minister.
"can i help you children?" the ancient man asked. his name was minister robins. ive known him since i was old enough to remember coming to church.
"minister we need your help" i said despretly. he nodded and guided us to one of the seats.
"speak child" he said and i started
"minister we have evil coming after us, ive held this in for too long. my parents and friends didnt die from a car crash. vampires have been stawking us and killing everyone we love. we are the only two left i dont know what to do or why they are after us. this is the only place that is keeping us from being killed, can we please stay here?"
his eyes widened. he nodded his head
"yes child, of course" he took us upstairs to this small living area.
"here this is where you will stay" he motioned toward beds and a area where a mini fridge was set up. all this in a church..it had me wondering. but not now i was too worried bout my neck.
"if you need anything just call me" and he left. i walked over to the bed and sat sighing.
"it's going to be alright mariah we are safe now" sara said and sat next to me
"for how long sara we cant stay here forever. pretty soon they are going to start walking the day and than what?"
she didnt say anything just sighed. i laid down and decided to go to sleep.
i woke up to laughing.
"mariah, sara come on play with us" they taunted i pulled the pillow over my head and tried to drown them out but it didnt work
"we will get you" the voice sneered. me and her kept quiet listeing to them talk. sara headed to the balcony. i followed her and we looked down on the ground where 5 guys stood.
"how long are they going to be locked up in there for?" one asked
"i dont know but im tired of this we need to get them" another said
"oh i just want to get my hands on mariah, and just taste her blood"
i heard a sneer and a yelp.
"no" one boomed "she is mine you can pick off the other one, but mariah is my territory. hearing his voice made me shiver. he looked scary with his big muscles.
"now we need to get them out of there im so bored" one said and than their heads whipped up at us.
"do you smell something" another asked one pointed"it's coming from up stairs.
i heard a laugh
"i know your up there mariah" the big one said "come down here baby and i wont hurt a hair on your pretty head" the rest of them snickered . i ran back to my bed and sat there with sara fearing our lives.
