Part Two:

The sun was high in the sky, it was noon.

Many birds chirped away to themselves utterly oblivious of what was to happen very soon.

The wind gave out it's warm and lucid breeze, enveloping and carrying away the problems of each person, so that on the morrow would people worry again.

The artistic stone buildings were lit up in the suns brilliant gaze, radiating, spilling over every possible detail, fixing a lovely scene of wonderment, that could only be captured in many fairy tales of the young.

Exotic flowers in baskets, that hung from the ceiling near the doorways of each building, allowed their scent to be washed away in the gentle breeze.

Hedges and grass anywhere near the heart of the Moon village, were cut precisely, neat and presented in more expressive and artistic ways that caught your eyes and left you in 'awe' of the view.

Many of the people who live here, enjoy life, in it's slow, democratic way.

Yes, life here was bliss, or so it would seem...

Itachi.jpgKisame.jpg
The two men were within a less damaged building of the three that were burned the night before.

Yes, where they were now was definately better than sleeping on the ruff and damp ground, which normally left them with aches and pains in the next morning.

They'd both entered the farming grounds, the animals ran away in terror, as they were no doubt afraid of anyone who'd pass through now, because of what'd happened to the farm and it's livestock.

One of the buildings were left practically unharmed, inside there was lots of hay, giving them a more comfy bed to rest upon than their previous nights' sleep in the past few weeks.

There was no one left alive, burnt bodies lay amongst the charred buildings and dead, rotting animals.

There was three families here, two elderly people, four adults and three children, all of them were dead.

This was being evidence in itself was obviously a deliberate murder, someone had come here in the dead of night and set the place a light, leaving everyone inside unknown to what their fate would entail to happen to them.

But they were nobodies, they were no one familiar, many people die in this coming age, no one cared about the deaths of others anymore, everyone died and if they're complete strangers then there was no point in getting involved in any matters.

The bigger man, glanced aroung the inside of the barn that they decided to rest in, he gave a snort and commented through boredom "This place sure is a dump, eh, Itachi-san?"

The smaller man didn't seem bothered by the place much, though still answered "Hn."

They both took off their Kasa's, revealing a whole different view on them, the taller man had blue skin, gill-like markings on his cheeks, sharp teeth were shown when he grinned, his eyes were little white circles with tiny black dots in the middle of them, he a deeper shade of blue hair that stuck up above his Mist village headband that had a line bared through the middle of it's symbol.

The shorter man, now known as Itachi, was sat amongst the hay, just relaxing, his demeanour was cool and collective, leaving others with the impression of wonderment at the mystery that hung about in the air as thick as fog, though is unseen to the naked eye.

Itachi, though being shorter, seemed to be the less talkative of the two, he wore his brown/black hair in a long, low tail at the back of his head, his eyes were onyx/black that held very little emotion, he had a single indent or line going down and outwards on each side of his cheek, his headband was on his forehead-as was the taller mans as well, Itachi's bore the symbol of the Leaf village, it too, had a long sratch through the middle of it, meaning there was no ties left to their villages anymore, his skin was ceamy, though not in the sick kind of way, just the natural colour of a man who's been both indoors and outdoors at the same time.

The taller man unsheathed his saw from his back, leaning against the wall of the slightly burnt barn, he let himself slip down the wall, until he was sat on the floor, placing his huge sword next to himself, he gave a slight yawn, then murmured to his quiet partner "I think we should get some sleep, eh, Itachi-san?"

His seemingly unco-operative companion, just closed his dark eyes and said "Hmm..."

"I must suggest, that with the new help we're receiving, there will hopefully be no possibility of an assassination attempt, so I bid you all to feel assured by my decision." The second highest chairman at the Void country's government; Lord Kuragari, second son and third born into the Kuragari family stated the truth that was plaging his mind.

Assassinations were always messy, leaving the country itself to clean up after the mess they make, it wasn't fair, not on the ANBU who must clear it away and neither on the family and friends who'd have suffered a great lose.

Lord Kashikoi Kuragari was a very proffessional man of great intelligence and wise opinions, he was indeed something short of an icon in his country, though it was his elder brother who held all the limelight.

Lord Kashikoi wasn't in the least bit jealous, a little envious, maybe, but never enough to actually over-throw, challenge, rival against or hate his brother, despite the difference in rank, the two brothers were always friendly with each other, they never had a dispute.

Even at hard times such as now, they didn't argue, but instead became more close in their attempts and decisions made by their government.

Sitting amongst the government, were fellow family members, all men of the Kuragari clan.

This held a strong position against any upstarts who wished them away.

The humungous hall held seats round in an oval shape, each of the men born from different parents sat in their family units.

Fathers would sit with sons, once a male memeber of the family has his own sons then father would sit seperately, and once his sons were old enough to be in polotics, then they would sit around their father.

Any men of the family who didn't have sons or didn't have any children, ramained sat next to their brothers or their cousins.

Over all there was at least sixty male members in the government, holding the strongest family position in the whole country.

The women on the other hand would stay at home, study, cook, clean, sew, sing, dance etc. though some daughters were given the chance to become Ninja of their village, which gave the Kuragari family a great advantage in strength and brain power.

All of the men in the Kuragari clan were taught Ninja skills, jutsu's and self-defence, in case of times where an up-rising could possibly occur.

Though an up-rising itself was to be highly unexpected, for the people of the village relied upon the Kuragari clan to survive and maintain a balance and sense of government over them.

Many of the men who're involved in the family's politics are above the age of nineteen, by this time they'd have learned all that they need to know in the world of politics.

One of Lord Kashikoi's cousins stood and said in a grave tone "I understand the pressure you're under, Kashiloi-sama, this matter concerns your daughter-right?"

Lord Kashikoi lowered his head slightly, then lifting it up again he answered grimly "Indeed, that is true, my daughter has been named a possible victim, but it is not only Lady Tsuki's safety I am concerned for, but that of my family, all of you here could possibly be a victim, I don't want that to happen, as it is, we are a strong clan, and I want it to remain that way-with the permission of my older brother..."

All eyes turned to the head of the Kuragari clan and also head of government, despite his age, he was youthful looking, his long brown hair was held back in a tight tail, his tired hazel eyes scanned each of the faces of his clan, then his gaze fell to that of his younger brother, he sighed lightly, then answered agreeably "Of course I agree, my niece, your daughter, and all of your blood relative is being made a target, I don't want anyone to get hurt, though if this stupid plan of possible assassinations were to go through, many of you may get injured and some may die, but as a clan we are stronger than that, we hold the blood of the royals, the last thing left of them to us, we of course respect this, and know that we cannot lose to this one little threat! I will hire anyone necessary to stop any attempts on this-our clan and birth-right."

The other men listened and stared in 'awe' at the head of the whole country itself, he was no doubt powerful, persuasive and definately correct in what he was stating, and slowly as if unsure of what would conclude they all began clapping, and thanking their leader for the decision he'd made.

It was as if it were set in stone, it was as if he were a God, though if that were true they'd all be God's, but he was their leader-he was God to them.

And to everyone else as well, anyone around them in the village would agree to what they'd all just concluded in their minds.

Lord Kashikoi Kuragari bowed deeply in respect to his older brother, head of the family, head of the government and leader to the whole of the Void country-his word was law, and everyone respected his decisions.

"Thank you, Shuhan-sama."

Lord Shuhan Kuragari smiled tenderly at his younger brother, and said slowly "You do not need to be so formal, we are brothers, I hate having to remind you all the time, just either call me Shuhan-san or Shuhan-kun, after all we did grow up together."

Lord Kashikoi nodded, smiled briefly, then faced his relatives agan, thinking deeply, knowing that such a thing should not happen, Lord Shuhan Kuragari was above himself, even if they are brothers, he is still the higher in rank, no matter what he was told to do, he would respect his brothers authority over the country, knowing that no one other than his big brother could do a better job at ruling the country.

Even though Lord Shuhan Kuragari's word was law in their country, it didn't stop a certain someone from trying to make most of her freedom whilst she could.

On the far side of the village, where most of the Kurgari clan lived in their own are sealed off from other villagers, many of them had their own beautifully designed houses, and the area sealed off from other people acted as another miniature village for the Kuragari clan.

The young Lady Tsuki Kuragari was sat on the porch, on the side of her house, listening to the trees and grass swaying in the light breeze, she felt the sun on her what was commented pale skin, she also listened intently to the tunes of the many species of bird singing their lullaby.

She felt restless, each day she was left on 'pins and needles', awaiting for the bodyguards that were arriving soon, though she didn't know when, no one did.

Which made all the waiting even more hard to bare.

Lady Tsuki fingered her what was commented on her gold flute, though it wasn't real gold, it was actually made out of wood, with wood it made it more easier for her to keep hold of.

Despite being handicapped, she was still able to play the flute, write a little, dance, sing and read-though she had to have special books for that.

Tsuki sighed to herself wistfully, sometimes she wished she wasn't blind, she wished that she could see what a sunset looked like, what colours really are and everything possible.

She wanted to describe someone for what they looked like, not for what they sound like.

There were many times that she wished for such a thing to happen, though it never did, she felt utterly sad, it was easy to live with, well, easy enough, but there'd be times when she'd lay awake at night and cry herself to sleep.

She was envious of all 'normal' children, being able to see, run around, able to play with other kids.

Everything in her world was black, just darkness, she'd grown used to it, though she would never say she liked the darkness, after all that's what her last name meant; darkness.

Even that, of all things seemed to be laughing at her, despite being a daughter to the most wealthiest family in the whole of the Void country, she was still picked on as a girl, because of her 'uniqueness' as her mother described it.

She hated being 'unique', she wanted to be 'normal', but then where would that get her?

Would she not be part of such a wonderful family? Would she've been begging on the streets, raped at every oppurtunity because she couldn't defend herself? Or would she have been born into a different family, far from here, where she'd be classed as a nobody?

Such things were to happen in life, and just like everything, life can be very cruel, in more ways than one.

"Tsuki-sama, it's time for your bath, I've run it for you, it's lovely and warm, come along." A soft voice spoke to her in her dark world, enveloping in her, the door was opened wider, the sound of her maids footsteps were clear as if walking in heels on wooden floorboards.

A hand touched her on the shoulder, Tsuki reached up and held onto Ko's hand, standing up slowly, making sure she didn't sway and fall over.

Ko linked Tsuki's arm through hers, as she escorted her into her en-suite bathroom.

Tsuki hated the fuss over something that was so trivial to most people, though she did need the extra help, she couldn't see, and her way around the village wasn't great off of remembering which way she'd turned to before now.

If she was ever on her own she'd need her 'blind-stick' as other kids had jeested for most of her life.

"Ko-san...am I...am I a burden to you?" Tsuki asked sadly, she couldn't help but think that way, especially when all she spent most of her time doing recently was think.

"Tsuki-sama, don't ever ask that of me again! You know I care for you as I would for a sister, please you should never think or feel that you are a burden to me anymore. I am happy here, being here with you, yes, I suppose I could find more joy with my son, but, I wouldn't feel secure knowing that I left you with some stranger." There was a hint of sternness in Ko's voice, though she had to set some things straight, in her eyes, Lady Tsuki Kuragari was the most loveliest of all creatures, despite her handicap, she brings love, happiness and life to everyone around her, though Ko couldn't help but feel sorry for Tsuki-sama, it was such a shame that she was born blind, the world doesn't care much for a blind girl, which made Tsuki's situation even worse, though her family loves her dearly, there'd be no one here who'd choose Lady Tsuki over the powers of the government and country, well, apart from herself...

Itachi woke up some hours after falling asleep, everywhere was peaceful and quiet.

The sun shone more dimly than it did before...

He gasped slightly, an inaudible sound held at bay from the presence of anyones hearing, he shot up into a sitting position, everywhere looked the same as it did before.

His cold eyes averted to his partner, he was still leaning against the wall, snoring ever so lightly, that even that particular noise was hardly noticeable.

Itachi grimaced, looking out the open door of the barn, he noticed the colours of a sunset spreading itself far and wide across the sky.

He got up, wiped himself down a little, then stalked over to his partner and gave him a kick in the side, it wasn't hard but it was enough to make him snap his eyes open.

"What?! I-oh, Itachi-san it's just you, why'd wake me up? Is there trouble?" He muttered, yawning slightly as his eyes were half-open, still tired from the lack of sleep they'd had because of all the travelling they'd done since they'd left their organization.

"Get up, Kisame-san, we need to go. It's aleady evening." Itachi groaned out to his taller more sleepy partner.

The man named Kisame jumped up, and grabbing his sword, attcahing it to his back again, he exclaimed "Shit! We need to leave here now, Itachi-san, we're expected in two days!"

Itachi resisted the urge to role his eyes knowing that once he gave in to being sarcastic there'd be no hope of ever shrugging the habit off, because he'd be using it more often than not to prevent himself from going insane.

"Hn." Was all Itachi said, putting their hats on, they left the charred farm and continued on the road to their destination, forgetting about the sheep and dead bodies that had laid strewn all over the floor.

To be continued...
