.Homecoming Queen.JB.Part Six.
Chapter 10 : .Homecoming Queen.JB.Part Fourteen.
The plane FINALLY landed, after the long flight, and I slowly stood up.I let the blood rush back to my feet, which had been folded under me, then I packed my bag.I sat back down, and let everyone get out before me, making me the last person out.I slowly walked out of the tunnel, and looked around for the luggage carousel.I found it, and walked over to it, brushing my bangs from my eyes.
I stood at the carolsel for about 15 minutes, before my bright yellow suitcase came past me.I lugged it off, and waited some more. Finally, the purple one came, then the blue one.I found a trolley, and piled them on.I was staying at this school for 2 years, I needed clothes.I wheeled the trolley outside, and sat on a bench next to them.I flipped on my iPhone, and waited. When it turned on, I dialed Laceys number.
'Hey, you've reached Lacey.Too busy to talk right now, but leave a message, and I'll get back to you when I can!Bye!' I sighed as the phone beeped.
'Uh, hey Lace. It's Corii.I just got off the plane, I'm about to get a taxi.I'll call you when I get settled, probably in the morning.Bye.' I hung up, and shoved the phone into my pocket.I stood up slowly.I guess you could say I was tired today.I threw my arm out.I stood there for 2 minutes, and finally a yellow cab stopped in front of me.I smiled at the man.He got out.He looked nice enough. He helped me pile my three suitcases in, then opened the door for me.I got in, and clipped my seatbelt.
'Uhm, American School of Gymnastics...'I said slowly. He nodded.
'Sure, no problem.'He said, and started the car.It took about half an hour to get there, and I was basically asleep by then.He shook me awake when we got there.I smiled, and paid him.He helped me get the bags out, and up the steps to the school.I smiled and waved. Then I looked at the school. It was huge. There were more buildings around the lawns than I could count.I rubbed my eyes, and walked towards the doors.I entered the office, and set my suitcases down, before approaching the lady.
'Hi.'I said.
'Hi.Name?'She asked.
'Corii Parker.'I said. She nodded, and typed on her keyboard.
'Hi Corii.I'm Mrs.Leardy.We don't start school here for another week, so we'll get you your scheduale when we can.Heres your key.Have a good time.'She said, handing me a gold key on a key ring.I nodded, and shoved the key into my pocket. She handed me some papers, one being a map.
'You're here.'She said, circling it in gold marker.I nodded, and walked out the door. She rolled me a trolley, and pointed me to the elevator.
'You're also in the main building, so just go up to level 4, and you'll find your room. This building is kind of like a hotel. The other buidings are either gyms, or dorms.Bye.'She said, and walked back into the office.I pressed the button on the elevator, and while I waited I put the suitcases on the trolley.I stepped into the elevator, and pressed the 4.I slumped against the wall, and waited. Finally, I reached the 4th floor. The doors opened, and I stumbled out, pulling the trolley behind me.
'301...303...305...307...309..found it.'I said, shoving my key into the door on 309.It swung open, and I shoved the trolley in.I tipped it forward, and the trolleys went crashing down.
'Dude...quiet!'A voice said.
'Dude...suck it...'I said back, shoving the trolley back into the hall.Someone could take care of it.I turned around, and came face to face with a girl with bleach blond hair, and dark makeup.
'Oh joy.I get to share a room with an emo.'I said. She smiled.
'That you do, my friend.'She said.'I'm Shelby. You?'She asked.
'Corii.'I said, shoving my suitcases in the corner.I looked around. We were in a fairly big sitting room.It had a couch, a TV, and a mini kitchen.Three doors were on two of the walls.I opened one, and came to a bathroom.I closed it, and opened the other. It was dark.I flicked on the light, and an open room was illuminated.
'I'm assuming this is my room?'I asked. She nodded, flopping onto the couch.I grabbed the purple suitcase, andShelby grabbed the blue one.She helped me get them into my room, then we fell onto my bed.
'You know, I'm not really an emo.'She said.
'I got that when you helped me.'I said. She laughed.
'I just like dark makeup.'Shelby said, shrugging.I nodded.
'I respect that. Now, is there anywhere to shop around here.I need bed stuff.'I said. She nodded and got up.
'There's a Bed Bath and Beyond about 10 minutes from here. We'll get a cab.'She said.I nodded, and followed her out.
Maybe this wouldn't be so bad.
