Chapter 25

Tearful goodbyes

“What-….What do you mean Xemnas?” Axel whispered. “Zoey is leaving, no one can help her. Only watch her” Xemnas replied. “What do you mean?” Demyx ran over to Xemnas and Axel. “She’s packing as we speak, she departs in 2 hours, Demyx, go get the helicopter ready and you pack also.” Xemnas sighed. Axel went pale “Wha- Demyx gets to go with her!?” Axel yelled. “Demyx is documenting her” Xemnas raised an eyebrow. Demyx nodded and left the room. Axel swallowed hard. “You get to watch her” Xemnas smiled a bit. “From a live camera?” Axel blinked. Xemnas nodded. Zoey threw everything she needed in her gym bag. She combed her hair and let it down. She put on a beanie and the leather jacket Axel gave her. She put on a black tank top and tight grey jeans with knee high combat boots. She put on a gun belt, letting multiple guns dangle by her thighs. She sighed and stared at her room. She grabbed her bag and dragged it down stairs. Axel sighed and set up his laptop on the kitchen counter. He hooked up the camera as he watched Zoey come down. He could help but stare and think ‘Zoey can’t actually be doing this mission!’. Zoey sighed looked at the ground. “I’m going to miss this place so much…” She whispered and grabbed onto her wrists. Axel looked down as he heard Zoey walk over. Zoey looked down, then suddenly put both her arms around his neck. Axel blinked and gently stroked her arms. “I’m going to miss you so much” Zoey merely whispered. “I’m going to miss you much more” Axel clutched her arms. Zoey sighed “I’ll try to back as soon as I can…” Axel looked up at her. “Should I take advantage of this?’” Axel whispered barely to him self. Zoey blinked. “What?” Zoey laughed a bit. Axels eyes filled with lust as he grabbed her arms and twisted her in front of him. Zoey blinked in confusion, then went pale as he smirked. He pulled her onto him, forcing her legs to fall on either side of him as he was in the chair. Zoey went pale as a blush made her face glow. Axel smirked and moved strands of hair out of her eyes. Zoey tried to push her self off him, but he grabbed both of her thighs and pulled her more onto him. Axel went pale as Xemnas tore Zoey off of him. “Don’t lay a hand on her” Xemnas glared. Zoey, in total confusion was speechless. Demyx scurried in quickly. “The helicopters ready” He whispered.

Zoey laughed and brought Demyx into a tight hug. Xemnas glared at Axel. Axel glared back then stared at Zoey. Demyx laughed and said “I cant BELIVE your doing this!” Demyx said proudly. “I can hardly believe it my self” Zoey nervously replied. Xemnas slightly chuckled at Zoey. Axel blinked and still gazed at her. Zexion and Marluxia slipped inside the room. Marluxia laughed and trapped Zoey in a head lock with his arm. “Marlyyyy stop!” Zoey laughed as Zexion tickled her. “Zexyyy!” Zoey laughed. Xibar blinked as he walked in the room. “Let her go guys” Xibar laughed as Axel gently poked him. “What?” Xibar questioned. Axel whispered something in his ear. “Oh…well, here’s your only chance” Xibar chuckled. Axel simply glared. Zoey laughed as Demyx kissed her cheek. Axels eyes literally started to smoke with anger. Zoey smiled and laughed as her and Xibar did a long handshake. “I see you’ve grown close with everybody” Xemnas smiled at Zoey. Zoey nodded as she put her arms around Marluxia and Zexion. The two messed up her hair and laughed. Demyx hugged her from behind and rested his chin on her shoulder. “We’re all gonna miss ya’ girl” Xibar chuckled and smiled. Zoey smiled and said “Yea, I’ll miss you to Zebra head” Zoey laughed as Marluxia laughed and patted her head. Axel walked up to Zoey slowly, looking at the ground. “I’m going to miss you so much..” Zoey looked up and whispered back “I’ll miss you to” Suddenly, Axel pulled Zoey into a warm embrace. Zoey sighed and hugged back until she feel something wrap around her leg. Zoey looked behind her barely to see Donut wrapping his tail around her leg. Zoey laughed as Axel did and he pulled her back into a tight hug. Zoey took in a deep breath and softly sighed. Axel kissed the top of her head and stroked her hair gently. Zoey looked at his chest in shock, not being able to be in his arms for who knows how long, what would she do? “Zoey you have 20 minutes till you leave, make sure you have everything” Xemnas mumbled, bringing Zoey out of her day dream. Axel let her go and put his hands in his pockets. Zoey sighed and grabbed her gym bag. Zexion and Marluxia tried to hold back tears, knowing that with out Zoey Castle Oblivion would never be the same. Zoey scanned her bag, until she saw guns be thrown into her bag. Zoey blinked and looked up, seeing Ace and joker smiling. “these are to keep you protected, but what ever you do, don’t mess with them, only use them to kill the Werewolves and Vampires okay Zoey?” Joker chuckled and fixed his jet black hair. Ace nodded and flipped his hair, smirking a tad. Zoey smirked and stood up with her bag “Man whores” Zoey laughed a bit. The two glared at her. Axel laughed a bit and put his hand behind his head. Zoey heard sobbing behind her. She turned to see tears streaming down Axels face. Demyx rubbed away tears as he stood next to Axel, along with Roxas slowly crying also. Zoey held back tears as they all pulled her into a group hug. Tears streamed down her face as she whispered to them “I’ll miss you guy so much…” Axel and Roxas nodded as Demyx grabbed Zoeys arm, and gently pulled her outside with him. Zoeys eyes burned with tears as she got buckled in the helicopter. She put on the head sets as the roar of the helicopter began kicking up. Demyx took control as they began to lift off the ground. Axel and Roxas ran out as quick as they could to see them begin to fly off.

The roar of the propellers rang in her ears repeatedly as she wondered in her mind. “Zoey…Zoey!” Demyx called over the roar. Zoey blinked and looked at Demyx. He handed her a button as he controlled the helicopter. “That’s the video camera Axel can see through! don’t lose it” Demyx yelled as he gave her a small ear piece. “I can speak to you threw that! Its water proof, so don’t worry and it wont break!” Demyx smiled. Zoey took the button and ear pieces slowly and put them on. She watched as they soared threw a portal into her world, Zoey swallowed hard, and closed her eyes.
