xxIt was a Sunday morning when they met, the birds singing and the sun rising. It was a chance encounter, it wasn't planned nor was it expected. Ryan found himself stretching and yawning at five in the morning and having nothing better to do, he clad himself a pair of clothes and headed out the door. Even though it was chilly outside for Nevada, no jacket clung to his shoulders, just the thin material of his blue shirt to get im through the day. He wasn't expecting to see a lone figure in the distance, sitting under one of his favorite willow trees in the middle of nowhere, so when he got close enough, he sat down near the figure who happened to be reading a book. "Hey." Seconds later, the skinny boy jumpted, clearly not expecting the sudden disturbance of the silence. Hazel eyes with specks of gold turned to the right and watched the girl - quite startled yet undersanding. The girl didn't speak after that normal greeting nor did she get up from the aweward silence; it seemed that her nose was digging into that book. Shoes of people started to appear as the morning dragged on; that girl still glued to the tree with a book in her hands. Ryan found it quite odd that she didn't move or someone didn't notice that she was missing by bow, but he soon realized that he couldn't take his eyes off her. While he fingered picked at the grass, his eyes would take a rather greedy peek at her, seeing if she did something else then read, but much to his dissapointment, her eyes were still glued to that book. "See ya around, kid." Once again he found himself almost leaping out of his skin as that velvet tone met his ears, quite bewildered that this person spoke yet he said nothing back.

xxRyan found himself thinking back to that encounter that that girl tha thad no name, wondering if he was to ever bump into her again. Now, being rather shy and quiet, Ryan found it quite hard to think up things to sa if he ran into her again but again, if Brendon were with him, the boy wouldn't have a chance. From what he could tell, the girl was cute, small looking as if she were to break by one man's finger touching her yet she appeared as if she didn't want to do anything with anyone and thats what bothered him so much. She intimidated her - by far the worst kind of thing a guy could get from a girl. When band practice came around, Brendon's car rolled up but he wasn't alone - someone with a leather covered book road in the passenger seat. Ryan's heart thumped rapidly as the car door opened and his palms started claming up making his guitar pick fall to the floor and his eyes fixated on her calm blue ones with a touch of gray. "Fancy meeting you here." Elliot was her name - a very unique name once again took Ryan by surprise. During the bands practice, she would be reading her book instead of watching them and tapping her foot against the floor as if she couldn't wait to get out of there. "You guys were great, who composed it?" When Brendon said his name, the guitarist looked up and met the captivating eyes of Elliot, "I did." He spoke every word with confidence though his cheeks tainted a slight shade of pink. She just smiled and went back to her book.

xxElliot wasn't fond in socalizing much, sure she didn't have high standards, but she had different beliefs which made her quiet and introverted - some would say a little stuck up. But when Elliot started hanging around with the guys, she was nothing like what people would make her out to be. She was kind and caring, even if she didn't show it at first. Sure, it took some time for her to except the fact that they were now her friends and eat the whole thing up, but after awhile, she started laughing and joking around with them. Ryan found out that she was really sarcastic - that could be brutel - and slightly witty and smart. Brendon, Jon, and Spencer saw the green glint in Ryans eyes as he quickly snucks glances at the girl, knowing all too well what he would do when he got enough courage to ask her, all the while Ellio was obliviois as to what was going on. The girl often stole phrases from books and used them in her day to day lifestyle or she would make up rymes and confuse the boys or she just wouldn't talk at all. Moments flew by where Elliot was with those four boys half of the time, the other half was spending time with Ryan sitting under the willow tree, reading or writing something. Elliot was not loud or obnoxous or flaunted her body or begged for attention, completely startling the guys when Ryan revealed that his feelings for her were developing. "Just whatever you do, don't do anything stupid." Brendon stuttered, trying to mask the worry that slauntered in his eyes - trying to hide the fact that Ryan had done this before; completely falling for the girl then hurting her or it was the other way around. "I promise."

Elliot didn't call them ever, they always made the calls to her home phone in which a middle aged lady would answer - a slight hint of suspition lacing her tone. "Don't worry, thats just my mom." Elliot would laugh it off and Ryan would usually follow her chorus of laughter, how beautiful it was to his ears. Their time went by smooth and effortsly and soon Ryans feelings overwelmed him, taking up his daily life, making him feel ashamed of his obsession with Elliot. "Spencer, I don't know whats wrong, but I noticed I can't stop thinking of her." By this time, the images he stored in his head of her and him were becoming disturbing and scared him a little. He would find himself drawing what he pictured in his head then tossing them out- finding them too dirty for anyone to see. The more he spent with Elliot the more he imaged her and him - most likely covering him in sweat when it was dark and having a hard time focusing in the day time - he wasn't the only one that was freaking out. Brendon, Jon, and Spencer started to wonder if bringing Elliot into Ryan's life was a bad idea, what would Elliot think of them if she found out what she was doing to Ryan or found the images Ryan drew, she would surely freak out and never talk to them again. Through all the horrifying images of invading Elliots personal bubble, Ryan still found himself walking towards her house and greeting her mother in a casual manner, "I'm sorry, she went for a walk." Then he was off, knowing all too well where she might be. The willow tree wasn't far, maybe five blocks from her house. Surrounded by a field with overally grown grass, the tree stood in the middle, its leaves sending shade from the sun and you know what, a lone figure with glasees, short hair, and a leather book sitting under it.
