"You what?" Braden exclaimed. Danae and Bralyn shushed him immediately. "We can't let Iris know, at least not yet, she won't be ready for it," Bralyn told. Then Mitch and Daaron came up with an armful of books, "okay, here's all the books you asked from the library, why do we need this stuff again?" Danae laid out the books in a cascade. "Bralyn and I broke into the library, and worked on it all night. We figured, if both the vampires and witches don't have any archives about it, the humans ought to have something, even if it's just myths or rumors, it would be enough to work on, and we found it." Braden took one last glance at the pair and then walked over to the table. "What the hell is all this?" "Every single book has a bit of what she is." "And what is she exactly?" Danae and Bralyn looked at each other.
"Iris...is a wiccan."
"A what?" Braden looked doubtful. "We're serious Den, here," Bralyn grabbedthe encyclopedia and flipped to the tabbed mark in W. "We were reading this, and we came across this. "Wiccan or the good witch, unlike their counterparts, witch, can not useoffensive magic, or black magic, only white magic. They are extremely close to nature, even said to be able to comunicate to it. Wiccan's appear delicate, almost elf or angel like,their eyes can be a wide assortment of colors, and their hair normally looks like a humans. Wiccans do not have super strength, but are physically stronger then their counterparts witches, and even humans."SEE! She can talk to plants,"Bralyn thrusted the book at him. "It makes sense too, that's why Iris can't perform any magic the witches tried to teach her, she could only do white magic," Mitch realized. "And how she looked, she does look delicate, fragile even, and her hair color is like a humans!," Daaron added."Also,I'm sure you've noticed Captain. Witches are weak physically,weaker then humans, but we make up for it in magical prowess.That's why Chance is in the middle, as half-witch and half-human, his magic is weaker then witches, but he's as strong physically as humans. But Iris, she is stronger then witches, and I've seen her fight, she's stronger then humans," Danae informed. "You've seen it Den, when she fights you, it does damage, when a normal human hits us, it does virtually nothing, but with her, it hurts even if just a little."
That would explain a lot... but still.
Bralyn whipped out more books, "there's more. Once we read the entry in Danae's encyclopedia, we went to look more on a wiccan. Look, "wiccans can not be affected by black magic directly." That's why the voodoo curse didn't work,and here, "wiccan's are known for their healing potions and powers,"obvious there,"Wiccan's hate death, and avoid violence if possible-" then Braden stopped her, "okay, that's where it stops, do you know how many threats that girl makes? How many times we've fought?" "Butshe would never kill, and most of it is talk. That feistiness is because of the adversity she has faced, otherwise she would be peaceful." Braden whipped his head away."We also read more on white magic. "White magic,is immediately related with the art of healing, but it is also used to keep evil at bay," that's why that demon that attacked us was hurt by her he's pure evil." Bralyn sighed, and pulled out more books, "but there's more, look, "wiccan's are particularly close to God, and so in turn for their devotion to him, he blessed their lives." It's speaking metaphorically of course, their life itself isn't exactly blessed, butthe belief of olden age that the essence oflife of living creatures, is blood." Braden shot his sister a look, and she nodded. "That's why the doll purified." Braden then placed his hand over his mouth, I couldn't drink her blood, because her blood is blessed.
"Unfortunately, we reached a sort of reached a...dent in our theory," Bralyn sighed. The guys gave her a look. "In all the books we read, all of them say this, "although there is still some practice ofthe creation of healing potions, the actual people of Wiccans, is a myth." Danae recited. "Then that's it, it's myth, how can you be sure she's a wiccan," Bradenretorted. "White magic was said to be a myth Den, and look, we have already seen that she can do white magic!"Bralyn pointed out the sliding door. "Those two aside, if Iris is a wiccan,where are the other wiccans? Shouldn't there be more?" Daaron pointed out. "We wondered that too, but since no one has heard of them, or seen any of them, we can only assume that Iris is the only one," Danaereplied. "Maybe she's a mutation?" Mitch earned a hit from Bralyn with that comment. "I'm just saying!"Danae shook her head, "if she is a mutation, they wouldn't have this much information ifthese traits are just appearing now." "Then, what's going on?"
Danae's head shot up, and she snapped her fingers, then all the books and research disappeared, and just like that Colton and Iris entered."Oh, there you all are," Iris smiled. "Sorry Iris, I just had them all come with me to drop some stuff off," Danae apologized. "Hey no worries, I had company," Iris smiled brighter. Braden passed a glance at Colton, to see a small smile form on his face. I've never seen her look so happy, or Colton. Bralyn then grabbed her hand, "IRIS!Hello!" Iris looked at her strangely, "hi?" "Let's go try the clothes we bought yesterday!" Bralyn suggested happily. But before Iris could decline, Bralyn already pulled her away.
"What was that about?" Colton asked, then he looked to see Braden glaring at him. "Something up Den?" Braden opened his mouth, but Mitch and Daaron rushed between them, "there's something you have to know Colt, it's a real groundbreaker!" Both of them nodded furiously. Colton raised a brow. "Alright, what is it?" "You'll never guess what Iris is..."

Bralyn pulled Iris onto her bed, and Bralyn sat on it, giving her a look. "What?" Iris asked creeped out by Bralyn's cheshire cat smile. "Soooo, what's going on with you and Colton? And don't lie,something is going on between you, and I want details!" Damn, Miss Know-it-all, well I could A.) Tell her the truth...I'd rather choke on my own lung B.) Tell her some BS until she falls asleep... with this girl's "thrist for knowledge" I'd be talking till I coughed up blood C.) Kill myself... yea that seems like a definite maybe or D.) RUN AWAY!
Iris made a dash for the door but Bralyn already appeared blocking it, and before Iris knew it, they were sitting on her bed with Bralyn having a very safe hold on her. Iris would've had a better chance at escaping being intombed in concrete. Bralyn was stroking her head... painfully. "Ah Iris, I'm so glad that as friends we can just tell each other anything! I mean look you've already agreed to tell me about you and Colton or I can squish your head! Now that's friendship!" Bralyn chirped.
KILL ME NOW! Iris reached desperately for anything, butall in vain. Irissighed. "Yes?" Bralyn asked hopefully. "I didn't and won't say anything. You can't make me talk," Iris stated. But Bralyn then noggied her, "au contrare my little pretty, I can make you sing like a canary, all you need is some persuasion..." Iris gulped. I'm in trouble.

"Had enough?" Bralyn smiled. Iris gritted her teeth, "never!" Bralyn shrugged, "alrighty,you brought this on youself!"Iris who was on her stomach with her legs in Bralyn's lap bit her mouth to keep it shut as Bralyn took out her weapon. Bralyn brought grabbed Iris's ankle again, and began to make the feather dance across Iris's bare foot mercilessly. "AHAHAHAH!" Iris howled with laughter again and she could feel herself cry. "ALRIGHT ALRIGHT! NO MORE! I'LL TALK!" Iris laughed. Bralyn smirked, "I knew you'd see it my way." Iris then got up and sat next to Bralyn. "I'll tell you, but you have to swear not to tell."Bralyn then nodded furiously.Iris took a deep breath, "I...like Colton." Bralyn hugged her, "I knew it! Oh I just knew it in the pit of my gut!"Iris tapped her arm for air. "Oh right, sorry bad habit. But I just knew it! Whenever I see the two of you... it's like a deep connection! Colton is always serious and calm natured he will have fun calming your liveliness! You know what they say, opposites attract!" Bralyn smiled wider. Iris gave a small smile. "It's not just that, he always listens to me,and he's always protected me, he'sso thoughtful and he just seems different from other vampires."
"That's true I mean Colton is a real good guy, and I've noticed, he's always keeping on eye on you, even if it's out of the corner of his eye, he worries about you," Bralyn smiled. Then Iris blushed. "Awww you're blushing!" Iris threw her pillow at her, "shut up!" Bralyn only laughed and hugged her. "Ahhh, to be in love, that sounds nice," Bralyn told wistfully. Iris nodded, "it feels nice too. When he looks at me, I always find myself blushing, when he says my name my heart flutters, everytime our hands brush my heart does acrobatics," Iris smiled happily. Bralyn squealed, "love sounds so wonderful! Exhausting, but that's just too sweet!" Bralyn pulled back to smile at her and Iris just smiled back.
"Hey Bralyn, how about you? Are you in love with anyone?" Iris asked curiously. Bralyn sighed, "not at the moment, my friends have had a lot more luck in that area then me." "Really, how is that?" Iris pressed. "Well Persis and Vita, they're actually together," earning a look from Iris. "That doesn't bother you, does it?" Bralyn asked. Iris smiled, "no way! That's what I believe! Love is blind, so it doesn't take into account gender, species or anything! Just go with it, no wonder they're always together." Bralyn smiled. "Yup! They really are a sweet couple, and as for Larissa, well I think the only person she ever really loved is Braden." Iris then put a hand to her cheek. She loved him... and yet she broke up with him when we went to so much to get them together!..NOT ONLY THAT BUT THAT CRAZY DILLHOLE SLAPPED ME!
"Uh Iris? Are you okay, you're kinda growling," Bralyn stated. Iris snapped back, "oh sorry, just remembering some unpleasant things, how come she loved that idiot so much, I mean, I have never in my whole life met an asshole as assy as him." Bralyn laughed, "it's true, Braden can be a jerk sometimes, but he's not all bad. But I guess it was inevitable that Larissa fell for him, she had always told me how hot he was, and when he saved her life, well she was in love." Iris mouth gaped open, "he saved her life?" Bralyn nodded, "yea, it's a long story." "Hey, what ever happened to those guys, I haven't seen them in forever," Iris told. "Well Larissa,I heard went back to her old career, modeling, and Persis and Vita... who knows? Probably travelling the world." Iris rolled her eyes. I figured that about Larissa...
"Yo Dering girl, someone says they know you!" Chance yelled. "Dammit Chance, I told him to be nicer!" Iris cursed. Bralyn laughed and they went upstairs.

"Speak of the devil and he shall appear," Bralyn gasped as she stepped out of the house grounds. "PERSIS, VITA! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!" The friends began to squeal uncontrolably. "LYN! IT'S SO GOOD TO SEE YOU!" Vita hugged. "Yea, we've been traveling around the human world, and we heard some rumors about a band calling themselves Bloodlust play, so we thought, Braden, and he needs someone to babysit him, so we thought BRALYN! And here we are!" The girls went back to squealing. "Hey why don't you guys come on in, everyone is inside!" Persis and Vita shook their heads, "we tried. We wanted to ring the door bell or something but something is keeping us out, we had to yell at the boy to get you." Bralyn then smirked in realization, "Danae's barrier really works!" "Huh?" Then Danae called out, "their your friends right Bralyn?" "Yea!" Then Danae made an opening for them and they walked in. "Wow that was interesting," the two said as the looked atback. Then they saw Iris. "IRIS GOOD TO SEE YOU!"and they clobbered Iris.

Everyone was in the living room. "Oh it's so good to see you!" Bralyn cheered happily. They smiled, holding onto each other's hands. Braden groaned, "I thought you guys died. I guess there isn't a God."The glared at Braden, "good to see nothing effects your aspiring personality." Braden scoffed. Chance just stayed by Iris and his mother. "More vampires! I thought this was it Iris!" Iris elbowed him ,"shush, these are Bralyn's friends, so you still have to be nice to them." Chance groaned, "do you have any idea how hard it is to be nice to people I don't even like?" Iris elbowed him again, "do you have any idea how easy it is to beat you up?" He shut up after that.
"Soare you guys going to stay here too?" Daaron piped.Persis and Vita shook their heads. "Unfortunately we can't, we have to leave soon actually, but we just wanted to see Bralyn. But before we go, we need to talk to Iris, is that okay?"Persis told. "Yea sure-" "Alone," Vita added."Okay," Bralyn said slowly. The two got up takingIris and lead her outside. Colton and Braden looked at each other, both with unsure looks. "You sure this is okay, I mean you guys said she's the only wiccan right, what if something happens?" Colton asked. "Those two have been my friends for years! They were even under my command during the war, I'd trust them with my life," Bralyn defended. Braden looked at the door, but can we trust them with Iris's.

"Sooooooo, what did you guys want to talk to me about?" Iris questioned as they walked quite some distance from the house into the forest. "How have you been Iris?" Iris raised a brow. "Good I guess, if that's all you wanted to talk to me about, you could've said that in the house you know?" Persis and Vita then turned to smile at her, "being attacked by the Traitors doesn't bother you?" "I guess it does but- hey wait a minute, I thought you've been traveling the world how would you-" Iris stepped back cautiously. "Why are you moving away Iris, I thought we're your friends?" Iris backed up into a tree. Then she heard it's voice. Watch out young lady, there is a wizard hiding among the trees, andI saw those two talking with him.
Iris cursed. Then she felt a branch. "How could you guys do this? I thought Bralyn was your friend! And all this time, you were betraying her!" Iris accused. The two just smirked, "that girly girl, she has no right to be Lieutenant, we were only friends with her because she was the sister of the Captain, and look at the good it's done us! We got to meet you," Vita laughed maliciously. Iris glared at them, "God Iand thought Larissa was bad, but you two make her look like Mother Teresa! And Bralyn is too good for trash like you two!" Iris grabbed the dead branch and chucked it at them, it shattered on impact andPersis and Vita shielded their eyes from the splinters. "GET HER SHE'S RUNNING AWAY!"the wizard from the trees commanded harshly as Iris ran back to the house.
Irisran through the forest as fast as shecould. DAMMIT! I'M SO STUPID! Why didn't it dawn on me it was weird when they led me so far away from the house! Please help! The trees and vegetation of the forest echoed their worry. We'll slow them down, don't worry. Iris thanked them and kept running as with each step she took her trail was covered my spontaneous growing grasses and brush.
"Damn! What the hell is going on!" Persis dodged another bombardment of branches. "Master told us her kind had close ties with nature, but this is ridiculous!" Vita replied as she jumped away from ivy trying to wrap around her. "The plants are the least of your worries! If she gets to the Derings, we'll have a problem!" the wizard called. "Trust me,she won't get far," Persis then punched a tree, and it came down with a loud crash. "She's not far away. I can feel it."
"OH HOLY-!"Shhhh this is for your own good miss, the vampires and the wizard are not far off. Iris clamped her mouth shut and let the vines that had wrapped around her waist, hoist her to the trees. Then she was placed into a hollow of a tree, and it closed the hole. Iris curled into a ball in the huge tree, trying to keep her thoughts silent. Then she heard voices below. "WHERE DID SHE GO!" Persis yelled. "Great you two lost her! I told the master not to rely on the lesbian bloodsuckers!"the wizard complained. "Watch it wizard, you know why the master wanted us,we're more useful then you, besides, she couldn't have gone far," Vita assured. "With those dumbass plants in our way, she probably is squealing to the Derings by now!" the wizard complained. "We can always kill them, hell Bralyn will probably hug us and we can kill her then, besides she couldn't have gone that far..." Iris held her breath as it got silent. Thena fist punched the hollow and Persis came to view. "Isn't that right Iris?" Iris shot out her foot and Persis fell to the ground. Then Iris jumped out and landed hard on Persis. "PERSIS, YOU LITTLE WHORE!" Vita yelled. Iris got in a fighting stance."I won't let you hurt them, especially not Bralyn." Thena smell went through the air, and Iris got hazy. "What the-" Iris felt her legs go numb. The wizard grinned as he held a little burning pot with incense. "Nothing like nightshade to knock out freaks." Dammit, guys don't come after me, Persis and Vita are...Then Iris's world went black.

Braden was leaning against the counter, tapping his fingers profusely. Bralyn who was reading another White Magic book, was passing a glance at her brother once and a while. The other guys, who tried to appear like they were doing something else, were also giving him a look, even Colton who was leaning next to him kept an eye on him from the corner of his eye. "Hey... Braden-" "WHAT!" he hollered. Daaron instinctive jumped hugging Mitch. Mitch groaned in disgust and shoved him to the floor. "You know, leader-" "SHE'S TAKING WAY TO F***ING LONG! WHY THE HELL ISN'T SHE BACK!" Braden barked in reply. "Den, Iris is fine, she's with two of my best friends, and yelling isn't going to do anything about it." "Braden, you tap any harder and we're going to need new tiling," Colton informed. Braden then looked down and saw some dust andlittle indents from his constant tapping. "Dammit, get off my back!" "Look, don't keep acting like you're the only who cares about her! We're worried too," Colton responded. Braden glared at him ,"you mean you're worried."Colton then stood before him at full height. "If you have something to say to me Braden say it."Braden stared hard, but then turned his head, "dammit, WHERE'S THAT WITCH!" "She said she'd be back, she just needed to xerox the pages," Daaron reminded.Then Danae teleported back, "sorry I'm late, I forgot my coin purse and-" "CHECK THE DAMN CRYSTAL BALL!" Braden yelled furiously. "He's not a happy camper since Iris is still gone," Bralyn explained. Danae nodded and sat on the table and pulled back the cloth, then manuevered her hands around the ball trying to locate Iris. Then the ball suddenly went from it's eerie blue glow, to a regular transparent crystal ball. "Oh no not again, something is interfereing with my sight, that means there's another powerful witch around her," Danae gasped. Braden was already stomping out the door. "I SHOULDN'T HAVE LET HERGO ALONE! F***ING CHRIST!" Danae stared as she covered up the call, "he sure is protective." "You have no idea," Bralyn smiled as she followed Colton who was already close behind Braden.

"Braden, are you sure this is the way?" Colton asked. Braden nodded, "I'm sure, look at all branches and plants, it was like they were attacking something." "Or protecting someone," Bralyn added. "Man where did she go!" Daaron cried."I hope they didn't kill her," Mitch spoke. Colton looked up at the trees, "where did they take Iris?"Then leaves froma tree began to rain, and thenanother, all in sequence. "Holy crap..." Mitch spoke.They all stared, "I think we follow the leaves..." Colton stated ignoring the stares.They all nodded andran.
The five got to where the leaves stopped, in the middle of the forest.Then they saw Vita lying on the floor with Persis.Bralyn rushed over. "PERSIS, V! WHAT HAPPENED!" She turned them over and the two coughed. "It happened so quickly, we were attacked, and told Iris to run away, but we just don't know!" Bralyn saddened. "He got her Lyn, he's got her!" Bralyn placed her hand on them, "where, where did he take her?" Persis pointed in the direction and she looked up. A man with familiar green hair came outholding Iris who was still knocked out from the nightshade. "WHAT THE HELL HAVE YOU DONE WITH HER!"Braden exclaimed. He shrugged, "you should be lucky she's only like this. Nightshade would've killed any other person, but I suppose I should've expected something different from the girl who murdered my sister." "You're that voodoo user's brother?" He then smirked, "that's right, my sister and Iare a master at curses, and voodoo and controlling the minds of others was her speciality, then this little freak had to go kill her!" Colton then called over,"you hurt her, I'lldo it ten times over to you." The guys looked at him. "Did Colton just threaten?" "I think he did." Braden stood dumbounded. "Don't worry,if I could kill her, I would've," he scoffed. Then Bralyn spoke, "it was your own sister's fault for not knowing her target, those who don't take into account every possibility pay for their carelessness. Just like you." "I guess you'll have to pay then, won't you Lyn?"The man smirked, then Bralyn looked down but took late as a sword was dug into her gut.
"You said-" "I never said I couldn't torture her," he interuppted. "That's right you do anything funny, and you'll have a very nicely cut up Iris,"Persis smiled evilly. "It was good master told us to be friends with Bralyn though. That barrier from the witch you were shacking up with was strong, but we got in so easily! OH LYN IT'S SO GOOD TO SEE YOU!" Vita laughed. "You sneaky little- I'm going to go over there and wipe off that damn smile!" Braden cracked his knuckles, but Bralyn got up and held out her hand. "No Den, they're my friends, it's my fault we're in this situation, let me handle this," she winced. Braden growled, but put his fist down. "Yes, let the self-proclaimed "genius" handle the mess she started," Vita mocked and the couple laughed. The wizard then hissed, "will you two stop toying and kill them already, I'm just itching to repay this girl for what she did." "Hold your horses,might as well have fun with them before we kill them." Bralyn was having a hard time standing up. This is all my fault I should've have thought this over!
"Why don't we make this a little more interesting?" the wizard grinned, and he held up two lockes of hair and flung it in the air letting it rain, and where it hit the ground, a Persis or Vita emerged. "Have fun guessing which is the real us!" they all taunted in unison. All of the group cursed. The guys got in front of Bralyn and began to fight off the Persis and Vita clones. "DidI ever mention I hate magic!" Mitch complained as he slammed two heads of the clones together, but they returned to dirt. "Feeling's mutual!" came thereply.
Iris then opened her eyes slowly, but things were still red and hazy. What happened? She saw all the Persis and Vita clones and everyone fighting. Oh no, not again!Dammit I hate being the target! Then she saw Bralyn having a sword inside her, and the man holding her up chuckled, "poor little Lieutenant, she can't pull out that sword until the curse I put on it is broken. And I can't kill this thing until the leaders of war are dead. Lieutenant Bralyn Dering,Colonel Daaron Sanders, General Mitch Treton, Major Colton Evron and the leader himself Captain Braden Dering." They were all leaders of war? Jesus! Iris closed her eyes right when he looked at her. I've got to think of someway to help out, but I don't know how!
"DAMMIT! I hated just two of Persis and Vita,but 5000 of them is hell on earth!" Braden destroyed anotherfew. "Good thing the copies aren't as strong as the original!"Daaron chirped. "But they are still strong, and they all smell like the original, so we can't find them, idiot!" Mitch elbowed a Vita. "Man there's so many!"Bralyn who was onone knee was trying to remove the sword, and completely defenseless, wasn't ready for the clones that slipped through. Colton noticed, "BRALYN GET OUT OF THE WAY!"She looked up,but it would be took late, but then the copies were tackled by someone. "Larissa?" Bralyn questioned. "What are you doing just sitting there, get up Bralyn!" Larissa replied. "Great another vampire, I'll just have to make things a little more fun," and he conjured weapons. "WHAT IS IT ABOUT YOU WITCHES AND CONJURING F***ING WEAPONS!"Braden hollered.
Iris saw they were in trouble.There's got to be a way I can help... hey is that Larissa?
"Hey Larissa, glad youcould take some time out of your little bird brain modeling career," a Persis mocked. "Why?We've all been friends with Bralyn for so long, I can't believe you were just using her!" Larissa replied. "Oh don't try to act innocent Larissa!Like everyone didn't know the reason you became friends with her was to get close to Braden!" Vita told her secret. Larissa paused and all the guys looked at her, Braden giving her a glance then punched another copy, hard. "You're right,that was the reason... at first, and Bralyn knew, she knew that, and was still my friend. Then I came to like her,I genuinely adored her,while you two, all this time, she liked you guys, but it was all an act!"The Persis and Vitas just laughed, "wasn't it great! Thanks to the spells the blocked the mind reading powers, she didn't hear anything traitor related." "Yea, when I said Larissa is the Queen of the bitches, yea, you two are like the Dark Overlords!" Mitch exclaimed. "Shove it, you perverted bastard!" the copies yelled."God you two sicken me!" Braden yelled and began to fight harder. "AHHHHHH!" then everyone stopped. The wizardhad cut Iris's upper arm. "I warned you guys, if you did anything funny." Braden stopped and then was stabbed, "F***!"

Then all the clones disappeared. The wizard looked at Bralyn who was holding her stomach and her hand stilll outstretched from throwing the sword. "But how!" Then Colton stabbed it in his throat, so he stopped screaming and he yanked the knife upwards, splitting his head in half.
Larissa helped Bralyn over to Persis and Vita, Persis was behind Vita, her arm over her and their hands intertwined. "I'm sorry, I didn't want it to be like this. I'm sorry."Larissa hugged Bralyn. Then she looked over to see Iris quivering in fear to see Colton brutally kill the wizard. Colton then immediately appeared before her. Before she could answer he grabbed her hand, and then sighed in relief as it healed up. "Good, it's gone." Irisfor the first time witnessed her body heal before her eyes, but the kill, she couldn't get it out of her head. "That man, you killed him, I-" he wrapped his arms around her in a big embrace. "I was so scared, I thought you were going to get killed." Iris was shocked and then brought her arms to hug him too. "I'm sorry."
"Braden?" Daaron asked as he looked over at the two. Braden smiled, "Colton really does care huh?"Mitch and Daaron raised a brow. "You're right, he's never lost his cool like that!" Braden sighed and took Bralyn from Larissa. Who am I kidding? I'm no match for Colton.
