Sanctuary for the Unwanted

My legs were slowly binding together. I screamed in the pain of my bone structure changing. Then it stopped. I had become one of the most hated creatures of this world. I had become a sessa, a person og the royal court of the city below the water. It was horrible, I did not want this. It was technically impossible. I decided to use my new power to get me home quick and to explain to my mother what happened. She was not going to be happy. For my father had died at the hand of a sessa. I swam as quickly as I could with my fin, which was in turn very fast. I made it to my island with time to spare. I pulled myself on to the sandy beach and just lay there because I was exhausted. After a few minutes I had dried off and the searing pain of my transformation began. I had my legs again and I ran to my mother who had just woken up.
