Accidentals (Vampire Story) First Day

Aedyn and Jhonythan take me to Jhonythan's car in silence, having little else to talk about. They seem to be having a silent conversation, but naturally I can't tell what about or anything. Then they open the trunk of the car, a very hot Mercedes-Benz model, and I gasp; it is completely filled with clear plastic containers of blood. My mind is completely horrified and disgusted, but what scares me most of all is that I want it, need it. I can feel my fangs lengthening. Aedyn shoots a glance my way and instantly sees exactly what I'm going through.
"Easy, easy. You'll be fine," he tells me, handing me a small plastic bottle filled to the brim with blood. My hand trembles as I take it from him, but then I stop. I can't believe I have to do this. I don't want to, but I really, really want to at the same time. "Just drink it." I press my lips together, refusing. He folds his arms across his chest. "Come on. You already had some of mine, when I turned you. It's not like this is completely new, and at least you don't know whoever this came from." My will breaks and I open the bottle and drink its contents, down to the very last drop. Aedyn breathes a sigh of relief. Jhonythan rolls his eyes.
"Finally. Took you long enough, pussy," he mutters. I slap him without a second thought.
"I'm a girl. I have one. It's not exactly an insult," I point out, putting him uniquely at a loss for words. Aedyn snickers. "Can we go back to the party now, or are you going to make me do that again?"
"You should probably have some more, just to get you used to the idea...and so that we don't have to get up early tomorrow to feed you," Aedyn replies.
"Vampires can sleep?"
"Not exactly, but we can close our eyes and zone out, almost like sleeping. In any case, I don't like mornings." He hands me another bottle of blood, and this time I drink it with little hesitation. "Good. Okay. We can go back now. For a minute there you had me worried." I feel the fangs recede somewhat, enough that they won't be visible unless I smile. That's why Aedyn would never show his teeth when he smiled...Jhonythan locks the car and we return to the party, which looks basically the same as when Aedyn and I left it. My eyes go immediately to Reubyn, who is doing some very dirty dancing with Jaymie, and then to an extremely jealous Darren, who is glaring at the two of them from a bar stool. I take Jhonythan by the hand and lead him over to Kaeleigh, who is currently standing at the edge of the dance floor, glaring at Eyan, who's dancing with some hot chick I don't recognize, probably one of Zeke's friends.

"Hey, Kaeleigh. What's up?" I ask. She turns to me and sighs.

"He just dumped me," she grumbles, shooting a glare at Eyan, "so that he could 'fool around' with these college whores." Jhonythan bites his lip.

"Well, allow me to introduce you to a possible solution. Kaeleigh, Jhonythan. Jhonythan, Kaeleigh. Have fun!" With that, I leave them, almost crashing into Aedyn when I turn around.
"Watch where you're going," he teases before pulling me into him. "Paralyzer" by Finger Eleven is on, which seems appropriate. "Now, where were we?"
"Refresh my memory," I challenge. He turns me around and starts grinding, and I happily start, as well. "This seems right...for now..." He's no longer cold, which is really nice. "By the way, how long was I out?"
"Not long, surprisingly. Only about half an hour. It usually takes longer..."
"You've turned others?"
"No, but someone turned me, and he'd turned hundreds. He knew what was up. Taught me everything I know."
"How did that happen?" He glances around.
"Not now, not here. We can talk about that sort of thing later..."
"Okay, fine." I let the conversation hang there and think, letting myself relax into the dancing again. It amazes me how comfortable I am with him, but that makes me wonder...why? And does he really feel the same way? There are so many other girls here, prettier girls, girls who would be better for him. I don't deserve someone so...perfect.
"Aedyn?"
"Hmm?"
"If you don't mind my asking...why me?" He turns me around so that I'm facing him and presses our bodies together, making me want him even more than before.
"This, for one thing. Don't you feel it? It's like sparks fly at every touch..." he murmurs. "And because you were friendly that first day, and then we were somehow in all the same classes, and you were willing to show me the ropes...it just seems like we have a connection. And you're gorgeous, and nice, and funny,and talented..." I blush madly, well, for a vampire.
"I feel it...I just...You...You're so...perfect...I mean, you're hot, and nice, and smart, and hilarious, and...I don't understand why you'd pick me over all the better girls out there." He shakes his head.
"There aren't any." With that, he leans down and kisses me again, quickly and gently but full of emotion. It's over as soon as it begins, making me groan in disappointment. He smirks slightly. "Later, if you're willing, we can...explore this...further..." His hands glide swiftly over my back, then return to my hips, but that's enough to make me tremble with desire. His smirk gets larger. Then he seems to notice something over my shoulder. "Hey, look at what you started, naughty girl." He nods to Kaeleigh and Jhonythan, who are making out furiously in a dark corner of the dance floor; Eyan has noticed and is shocked and angry, something I've never seen from him before.
"Look at her ex," I smirk, pointing him out quickly. Aedyn snickers.
"And then Jaymie and Reubyn...on second thought, no, don't look at them." It's too late; I see them and immediately bury my face in Aedyn's shoulder, trying to erase the scarring images from my brain. "Told you."
"Not soon enough." He laughs.
"I'll admit that they'd be a really good couple, but I still don't like her."
"Yeah, well, I'm not exactly crazy about Reubyn, either, but I'll adjust. I'm sure he and I can work something out just like you and Jay did." Aedyn grins.
"Nah. You ought to get along pretty well with him, actually, once you get past the fact that he's an asshole." I laugh.
"Then why are you friends with him?"
"Because he's a funny and useful asshole."
"Oh, like Ximun...okay. That works." We laugh. He's said a couple times in Chemistry that Ximun reminded him of someone. Now I know who. From what I've seen of Reubyn and Jay, that's not a bad comparison, especially since Jay was dating Ximun for a while during sophomore year. She dumped him for cheating on her, though...never mind that she was doing the same thing to him...but whatever. It's Jaymie. I can't explain her.
The party just goes on and on. Aedyn and I soon tire of dancing and go across the hall to the gaming area, where several people are playing Guitar Hero or singing Karaoke. We curl up on a large beanbag, his arms around my waist, in a corner of the room, watching the others and making fun of them, just like we do with people at school.
"Does this mean we're together?" I ask him at one point, snuggling closer to him. He stares at me like I'm retarded.
"I hope so," he replies. "Does it?"
"Absolutely." He kisses me again, quick but fiery, before we return to watching the others. I'm happy; I have a completely amazing boyfriend, and my friends and his friends seem to like each other. Jaymie, Kaeleigh, and I will be gossiping about this for days.
