~~~Brooke's POV~~~

Brooke kissed Nick on the cheek and then saw his face turn bright red. She giggled and then got up to go and play with her dogs. She was about to walk over to the boys when she heard a dog growl. She turned around and saw a St. Bernard standing in front of her. This guy came up behind him and then smirked towards Brooke.

"Hey baby… The names Trevor."

"Good to know… See ya."

She said and was about to move away but his dog growled again.

"So, what's a hottie like you hanging out with the Jonas losers?"

"Leave her alone Trevor!!"

Joe said and stood by Brooke's side.

"And what are you going to do about it?"

The guy asked and Brooke did a whistle. Bella and Blitz were by her side in seconds and snarling at Trevor and his dog.

"Nice dogs… Be good in a match."

"You mean dog fights?"

"Yep… Hold them in my basement… You wanna see?"

"No thanks… If someone is sick enough to do that I don't even want to be near them."

Brooke said coldly and by that time Kevin, Nick, and Frankie had come over. Trevor got all mad about what she said and was about to walk closer but Blitz snarled a little bit louder and looked like he was about to jump at Trevor.

I never saw this side of them… Now I know what Brooke means when she said that they would attack at a different command… They changed personality in the matter of seconds.

Joe thought and saw Kevin pull Frankie behind him. Trevor backed off and started to walk away.

"You think about it, baby."

"Already have… And there's no way I'll be caught dead with you… Scum."

Brooke said and whispered 'scum' under her breath so that Frankie couldn't hear. Trevor left and Brooke bent down and started to pet Blitz and Bella on the head.

"We should head back… We'll come back another time."

Joe said and everyone nodded their heads. Nick got the leashes and started to hook Bella when Blitz walked over towards Nick and started to lick his face.

"Awww, I think he likes you now."

Brooke said and everyone laughed because Nick wasn't enjoying the fact that he was getting dog drool all over him.

~~~Kevin's POV~~~

~Back at the Jonas House~

They had put the dogs back in the back yard and went into the house. Nick went straight to the bathroom and everyone went into the dining room where everyone was sitting.

"So where did you guys go?"

"To the dog park with Brooke's dogs."

Frankie answered and then ran over to mom.

"Where's Nick?"

Dad asked.

"Upstairs washing his face off of dog drool."

"Bella got him?"

Brooke's mom asked.

"No, Blitz."

"Really?"

She asked surprise.

"Yep… I'm as surprised as you."

Brooke said and then sat down next to her mother.

"I don't get it what's wrong with this Blitz?"

Mom asked.

"He can be very protective over Bella and Brooke."

Brooke's mom answered and they understood. It was a first for Blitz that he would want to protect someone else other than Brooke and Bella. Nick came down and everyone smirked.

"What?"

"You're being protected."

"Huh?"

"When Blitz trust someone… Licking you in this case… It means that he trusts you… You're lucky… He doesn't even trust me and I'm the one who brought him and Bella… I bought them for Brooke."

Brooke's mom explained.

"Why?"

"Because I'm gone a lot and I needed someone to watch her… And when the dogs are there I feel that the house is safe… It's hard to explain… I couldn't trust it alone with anyone but the dogs."

Brooke's mom said.

~~~Nick's POV~~~

Nick looked at Brooke who just yawned and walked out of the room. Kevin nudged his head towards Nick to go after her and he nodded his head. He found her leaving the kitchen to go into the back yard.

"Miss them already."

Nick said and Brooke jumped.

"No… I just can't get that kid out of my mind… I was seriously about to let Blitz get him when he said that he was into dog fighting."

Brooke said and then jumped over the small long bush that separated the Jonas house and Brooke's house. She sat on the grass and leaned up against the house, Nick copied and Blitz and Bella walked over and laid down in front of them.

"Don't worry about Trevor… He probably just said that to make him look cool… He does that a lot."

Nick said and then looked at Brooke who looked like she was going to cry.

"I don’t think so… I'm a dog lover… I hate cats… And I know when someone is mistreating a dog… And the scars on that dog told me that he's being mistreated."

Brooke said and Nick just looked at her.

I never thought about it like that… She really cares about dogs.

Nick thought and Bella got up and started to lick Brooke's arm.

"Do you want me to call the police?"

"The thing about living in Brooklyn is that you know which house as dog fighting in it… And which house doesn't."

Brooke said and smirked, she turned her head and looked into Nick's eyes and smiled.

"But thanks anyway… I'll find a way to stop him."

Brooke said and Nick started to look at Brooke's lips and started to move his head closer to hers. Brooke finished the gap and Nick smirked against her lips…
