Haruko had lost all track of time in the neverending night. Though, it felt like a long time. She was still hopeful that her friends would come to find her. She knew that they had to be trying. But she was in a different relam. It might be hard.
She and the dark Pit had rarely ever spoken to eachother. When she did though, he’d normally yell at her. This only made her fear him more.
She sat on the window sile and looked up at the never moving moon. She sighed heavily then looked at Pit. He was leaning against the door quietly staring at her. “Uh, ummm.” She began but was quickly cut off. “Don’t start. I don’t want to hear anything from you.” He snapped. Her ears fell back a little. She got up and walked to him, then knelt down infront of him. “Why do you have be so mean?” She asked quietly. “Why should I tell you?” He replied. This annoyed her greatly. “That’s not an anwser.” He replied with a simple ‘hmph.’ “I shouldn’t have to tell you anything.” She sighed heavily and got up, giving up on the whole idea of trying to reach him somehow. It was hopeless, that’s the conclusion she came to.
”You could tell me about yourself though.” Came Pit’s voice. Startled, she turned to him, seeing the smirk on his face. “What do you mean by that?” He stood up and shrugged his shoulders. “Oh, I don’t know. Tell me of the time when you lost your mother or failed to save your friend. The promise to never get close to anyone again. Something like that.” Her eyes widened in shock. “H-how did you find out about that?” He chuckled at her reaction. Cupping her chin in his fingers, he replied. “I have my ways little girl.”
Fear quickly set in Haruko’s heart and she puched him away from her, tears running down her face. “You don’t know!” She shouted in anguish. “You don’t know what its like to lose your best friend!” He was a little surprised at her reaction but then narrowed his eyes as if sad. Why isn’t it as much fun to torment this girl? He questioned. We might be different, myself and my other half. But maybe…our feelings are the same.
He sighed stubbornly and rubbed the back of his head. “You know.” Haruko looked up at him in confusion. He had turned her face away from her, a stubborn expression on it. “I don’t like people who cry.” She blinked in confusion. “Its not like I like being a bad guy.” He muttered. “Its just I’m his shadow. Everything he is, I’m not. That’s just how it works.” Haruko wiped her teary eyes. “But no one ever said you had to be…” Hearing this surprised him. He looked at her wide eyed for a moment then smirked. He put his hands on his hips and leaned his wieght on one leg. “You really are….hopeless.” She smiled a little. “So can we call a truce?” She asked. He hesitated in speaking then nodded. “Yea ….”
