World Of Shining Death

Adrian leans his head against the cold car window. The rain patters as his mother sits at a red light. He looks out to see a blonde girl heading down the street, with no umbrella, and completely soaked. She turns to look at him, immediatly recognizing him as the boy from the day before, the one who was dirty and wet. He smiles crookedly, then turns to look out the other window. There walks Danny, on the other side of the street. She's just as wet as Cassidy.
The light changes.
Adrian's mother starts to accelerate the car. Adiran looks back, only to see Cassidy and Danny both running towards his car. They seem frightened, they seem panicked.
"Mom, mom stop the car, stop the ca...."
His voice was cut off with the sound of crunching metal. There was a violent jerk and then dead silence.

Danny ran alongside Cassidy towards a wreckage of a small compact car and a pickup truck. Both of thier breath is full of fear and is heavy. The rain continues pouring, as sirens are heard in the distance. Everything was becoming a blurr for Danny. She finally makes it to the car, seeing that it's upside down. Knealing down, she sees that Danny is unconcious, but otherwise unharmed. His mother on the other hand was barely recognizable.
"ADRIAN!! Oh god Adrian wake up! You gotta get out of there, man!"

Cassidy heard a slow, hissing sound. She looked towards the pickup, only to see that gasoline was leaking out from it. Now, even though she wasn't very smart, she'd watched enough movies to know that was dangerous. She built up courage enough to push Danny out of the way to drag Adrian out of the car. He wasn't heavy, and Cassidy had strong muscles from all the cheerleading she'd taken part in that school year.
"Danny, you gotta get everyone out of the area of the cars, the gasoline is going to start burning real quick." Cassidy looked at her aquaintance with a look of intensity that Danny didn't know could come from such a shallow girl.
While Cassidy carried the small boy to safety, Danny started telling people to get out of the way.

It felt like he was floating. There were screams, yes. There was the dull roar of a fire too. He slowly opened his eyes, only to find that he was being carried by one of the popular girls. She was slowly sitting down behind a building, a brick one. All the memories floated back into his concious mind and he jumped slightly. Cassidy constricted her arms around him a little more as another explosion sounded, which much to his suprise, was closer than he expected. A piece of metal skidded beside the two.
"Wha.. what's going on..?"
"Ah so you're awake," Cassidy let go of him, allowing him to tumble onto the cement, "Your car got totalled. Your mom got totalled. The truck that hit you is currently burning and apparently, from what I can see, " Cassidy looked around the corner of the wall behind them towards the wreckage, " A few buildings are now on fire and there's firetrucks on the way."
Adrian sat and blinked.
There was another crash.
Minutes later there was another explosion.

A sharp pain was going through her side. Danny stumbled in the general direction that Cassidy had run off with Adrian. Even through her black hoodie, Danny could tell she was bleeding.
That stupid piece of shrapnel... damned thing just HAD to hit me didn't it...
She took a hand off her side and looked to see just how bad the bleeding was. Her fingers dripped with blood. It quickly washed off from the rain that continued to fall. Her eyeliner was dripping. Her side was dripping. Her hands were dripping. Her hair was stuck around her face, and it was noisy.So noisy. Everyone screaming,the fires burning, ambulances wailing and firetrucks blaring.
She stumbled and started to fall.
But much to her great suprise, her fall was caught. She turned and saw a guy holding her at the shoulders.
"Damn, girl, you're messed up. You should head back to the ambulances, lemme take you." His smile was sincere enough, even with his slightly inward-bent teeth and a slightly wild look in his eyes.
"I-I need to find Cassidy, and Adrian.. they ran to safety, " she winces from the pain, "They ran to safety and I need to find them. Adrian was in the car. He cou-could be hurt..!"
The guy frowned. He hauled Danny onto his back and let her direct where to go. She wasn't heavy in the least, anhorexic almost. She clung on tightly and when they finally found Adrian and Cassidy, she passed out.

There was a hulk of a guy coming through the rain, with the flashing lights behind him from the emergency vehicles. There was a small, pale body in his arms as he approached. Cassidy stood up, leaving the weak Adrian behind and she walked up only to find that the guy was carrying Danny.
"And just who the heck are you?" Cassidy asked, looking worriedly at Danny's seemingly lifeless figure.
"Ben. My name is Ben. It looks like these two need a little help, " He motioned towards sickly-looking Adrian, " Come on. We should get them to the ambulances."
