♥Life's a Festival♥ {A Naruto One-Shot}

The sun was pouring through the white curtains onto your sleeping figure. You blink your self awake and stretch, wondering what this new day would bring you. You hop out of bed and open the curtains wide. 'Good morning Konoha!' you shout in your head and smile. You walk to the bathroom and get ready to meet Naruto at the ramen bar. He was your best friend, but you weren't going to let him know you like him more than that. Not yet at least.You get dressed in your usual style, flowy but easy to move in. You tie your hair up in a loose ponytail and rush downstairs. You swing open the door to see the knucklehead standing there. "Oh! Naruto! What are you doing here? I thought you were at Ichiraku!" you grin. "I was on my way when I noticed your house, so I thought I'd walk you there." he grinned back. "How nice. Thanks Naruto!" you close the door behind you and walk off with Naruto. "So Naruto, how's your training coming along? Mine's going great! I've mastered everythingI've learned!" you ask. "What? Oh, Great! Rasengan's awsome.." he trails off. "Naruto? Something wrong?" you ask, worry in your eyes. "Hmm? Oh, no, just thinking."
You arrive at Ichiraku and order your favorite. BBQ Pork Ramen. You wolf it down like you haven eaten in two days. Youlove ramen just as much as Naruto, and everyone knew it. You order one more before leaving. "Hey! Hirune, wait up!" you turn to see the orange ninja jogging to catch up to you. "Naruto! What is it?" you ask, smiling slightly. "I just want to know if you want to go to the festival with me tonight. Do you?" he gave off the usual goofiness. "Okay, sure!" you giggle before adding, "I'm going to go shopping, see ya later!"
"I'llmeet youatyour house at seven!" he shouted, you waved to let him know you heard.
'Which kimono to buy?' you ponder over the three you picked out as prettiest. They were- a white one with black swirls connecting onto red lillies, a blue one with white birds on the sleeves and obi, and a pink one with white flowers trailing up the side of the sleeves. You picked the pink one. You purchase it and run to the next store to pick out some jewelry. You run home and get ready, it was six-thirty. You slide on the last barette and race downstairs as soon as you hear the doorbell ring. "Coming!" you shout, opening the door. You find that the knucklehead was waiting. "Naruto!" you smile. He puts out a hand and you take it. "I heard there was supposed to be fireworks tonight too." he says, you nod and look around you. Decorations of all colors lined the streets, the people walked aroun in clothes of all sorts, mostly kimonos. You and Naruto stop in front of a game where you have to shoot water into a ninja's mouth to win a teddy bear. "Hey, want me to win you one?" Naruto asks, pointing at the game. "Okay!". He shoots the water in perfectly and wins you the teddy bear. "Thank you Naruto-kun!" you giggle. You walk around and play games and get cotton candy aimlessly. You were having so much fun.
Later on, it was time for the fireworks. You and Naruto find a great spot ontop of a hill, perfect for viewing fireworks. You and him sit down and look up. They haven't started yet, so you were staring at a black abyss dotted with silver specks of light. "Hey, Hirune?" Naruto's voice breaks your staring contest with the sky. "Hm? What Naruto?" you look over at him. "What do you think about me?" he asked out of the blue. "Well Naruto, I think your funny, hyper, a great friend, cute and-" you looked back on the sentence, what was that last part? Oh boy, you didn't mean that to slip out. You face turned pink and you looked away. "I-I'm sorry Naruto! That just totally slipped out! I didn't mean to tell you tha-" you were cut off by Naruto's warm lips on your soft ones. You kiss back after ten seconds of shock. He pulls away, "I think your cute too. I like you." he smiles. You just stay quiet while he moves you onto his lap. The fireworks started a little after. They never looked so beautiful.
