The ice in my heart (a Toshiro love story)~*chapter 3~*

You stood there and watched Toshiro chase Matsumoto for about 20 minutes and you decided it was getting late so you headed off to your 11th division quarters. "Hey, I heard your going to the human world, is that true?" Kenpachi asked you as you got closer to the quarters. "Oh, shit." You thought stopping in your tracks. "How about we see why, huh?" He asked standing up. Yachiru was gone somewhere, obviously the reason why he said that stuff in the first place. " Taichou i'm sure it's just because they need more power but not enough of that of a captain." You said bowing, hoping that didn'tpiss him off. You heard him chuckle then heard Yachiru's calls. "Ken-chan, where are you?!" She yelled from a distance. You started walking towards your room. The sun was starting to set and the air was getting colder. "Ikkaku that's not nice give it back!!!" You heard Yumichika yell from behind you. Ikkaku ran past you, holding a mirror. You snatched it from his grip, luckily he wasn't holding too hard, and as Yumichika came by you handed it to him. "Thank you Nani!!" He said happily as he went back to his room. Ikkaku stared befuddled at why suddenly he wasn't holding Yumichika's most prized possesion. "I took it while you were running then gave it back to Yumichika." You said, clueing him in as you passed him. You got to your room and slid open the door. A gust of warm air surrounded your body, warming you up. You walked over to the dresser and laid out your night kimono. You felt something warm and fuzzy sliding around your feet. "Well hello to you too, Coco." You said picking her up and cradling her like a baby. She made a whining/screeching noise, very similar to a child's wail. "Now, now, don't cry. Mommy's got you." You said softly. She purred and swiped at your fingers as you rubbed her soft underbelly. You laid her down beside your kimono. "Coco, I have to go to the human world, you wanna come?" You said, pouring a cup of hot gensing tea. Coco started running around on the small bed. You giggled and walked over to her. "I thought you'd like to come." You sipped on the tea once then set it down. "I don't know when we're supposed to be leaving. Coco stay here, i'm gonna go see if Ikkaku or Yumichika knows." You said, walking out of your room. You walked past many rooms. Most of which, strange noises were coming from. Being the only girl besides Yachiru in the squad was kind of creepy. You reached Yumichika's room and you knocked on the door. "Come in." He said, probably not knowing who it was. "Okay." You said before entering, just to be on the safe side. Yumichika was sitting up in his bed, wearing a white kimono. "Oh, Nani, It's you." He said suprised. "Do you know when we leave for the human world?" You said, getting straight to the point. "Yeah, we leave tommorow. You really didn't pay attention to that meeting, did you?" He said, trying to make a joke out of it. You took his pillow and hit him in the stomach with it. He smiled, but also shielded his face. You smiled and placed his pillow back behind his head. You thanked him and started to head back to your room. The temperature was probably below 0 and you were wearing very revealing clothes. You quickly hurried back to your room, afraid that you might freeze. You slammed your door shut the second you got into your room. "It's so freezing out there Coco." You said shivering. You picked up that cup of tea you were drinking before you left and quickly made it vanish. It was still hot so your body warmed up faster. Coco carried a small purse over to you and dropped it in front of you on the table. "Oh yea that's right, i had money in this." You said opening it up. You saw a couple of hundred dollar bills and an old photograph of what you used to look like. You petted Coco and studied the photograph. You had short brown hair, so short you could see your ears. Your eyes were a soft green. Like the grass that you see only in the fields of the Soul Society. You looked so much different. Over time, your hair had grown to the back of your knees and had turned coal black. Your eyes went into a turn of changing color and ended up being a lighter shade of purple. You used to have real thin lips, but they widened, not too much, but enough for you to know they were there. "Can you believe I used to look like this?" You asked Coc, showing her the picture. She leaned in to study it better. She meowed and turned her head away from the picture and to the door. You petted Coco again. "We need to go to sleep because tomorrow they're sending us to the human world." You said, getting up and walking over to your bed. Coco jumped up onto your stomach again. You smiled and turned off your light. Another day, another adventure.
