I walked into geometry class, I looked at the back of the room and smiled when I saw a seat reserved for me. It was between Sasuke and Gaara. Shino, Lee, and Neji sat infront of us. “Hey guys!” I said while sitting down.
“Hey.” They all said.
“So, how is everyone?”
“Good.” They all replied. I stared at them.
“Is this like talk in unison day or something?”
“Quite possibly.” They all replied. I rolled my eyes.
“So, are you guys going to the dance?”
“No.” They all said.
“You’re kidding me right?”
“No.”
“WILL YOU GUYS STOP SAYING THE SAME THING AT THE SAME TIME?!”
“Maybe.”
“YOU, LADY IN THE BACK WITH BLACK HAIR.” The teacher, Asuma, shouted. I looked around, and then continued my conversation. “ARE YOU STUPID OR DEAF?!” he shouted again. I looked up, he was staring straight at me, and so was everyone else in the classroom.
“Oh, you were talking to me?” I said while pointing to myself. Everyone snickered and turned to stare at Asuma.
“Who did you think I was talking to?” Asuma said while everyone turned to stare at me.
“Umm, that one girl, the one sitting all by herself in the corner?” Everyone turned to stare at the girl. Sure enough the girl had black hair and was sitting in the back of the room. She looked up and then glared at me. I gave her a “what did I do?” look and then she turned back to whatever she was writing.
“How about if I phrase it like this,” Asuma said. “The girl in the back of the room with black hair, the one who can’t stop talking.” Everyone turned to look at me.
“Umm, yeah?” I said. They all turned to look at Asuma once again.
“What’s your name?” Everyone stares at me once again.
“Vivian Rayne Blackwood.” They stared at Asuma once again, it was like a routine, stare at Rayne then stare at Asuma.
“Miss Blackwood, do you realize that the bell rang five minutes ago, yet you are still talking like nothing has happened.”
“No I did not realize that.”
Asuma glared at me. “Well, now that I have everyone’s attention and there isn’t any annoying talking in the back of the room, I will hand out your textbooks.” He pulled out a cigarette and stuck it in his mouth. I raised my hand. Asuma sighed and said, “Yes Miss Blackwood?”
“I would prefer if you do not smoke while I’m in the same room as you.”
“I am not smoking I just-“
“Do you or do you not have a cigarette in your mouth this very instant?”
“I do but-“
“Exactly, please do not smoke, it’s terrible for the environment and bad for you and the people around you.” Asuma muttered something and stuck the cigarette back in his pocket. “Thank you for being so considerate.” He glared at me and started handing out textbooks.
I was staring out the window when I heard my name called. “Yes?” I automatically responded.
“Miss Blackwood, please come get your textbook.”
“I would prefer that you call me Rayne, Miss Blackwood makes me sound like an uptight old person. I’m sure you understand.” Asuma glared at me.
“Alright, Rayne, would you please come and get your textbook?”
“But the front of the room is so far away and I don’t want to walk all the way up there to get a book that I will forever hate while it is in my possession.” Asuma grabbed the book and threw it at my head. I screamed and ducked. “THAT’S CHILD ABUSE!” I shouted at him.
“THAT’S CALLED TEACHING YOU A LESSON!” he shouted back.
“I AM SO OUT OF HERE!” I stood up, grabbed my stuff, and walked to the door.
“WHERE THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE GOING MISS BLACKWOOD?”
“OUTSIDE!”
“DON’T YOU DARE WALK OUT OF THAT DOOR!” I looked at Sasuke, Gaara, Neji, Shino, and Lee and gave them a “are you guy going to come?” look, they all stood up and walked out of the door with me. “YOU ARE ALL GETTING DETENTION!” Asuma yelled at us.
“So umm, where are we actually going?” Lee asked me. I stopped walking.
“I hadn’t thought about that.” I replied. I looked around at everyone. “Anybody have any ideas?” They all shook their head no. “Well we can’t just stand here and look like idiots.”
“And this comes from the girl who got detention twice today?” Sasuke said while smirking. I looked at him and glared.
“Shut up Sasuke, it’s not like you never got a detention before.”
“Well actually-“
“Are you including today?” Sasuke stared at me and then glared when he realized that I was right. “Well, since we’re not doing anything let’s go outside.”
Everyone agreed and then we all walked outside and sat on the grass, right at that moment the sprinklers went off. “WHAT THE HELL?!” I shouted. “HOW MANY TIMES DO THEY HAVE TO RUN THE SPRINKLERS?!”
“Try not to get covered with mud.” Sasuke smirked at me.
“Well if I get covered with mud, I’m not going to be the only one.” Sasuke gave me a confused look before I charged at him and knocked us both into a mud puddle. Lee jumped into the mud after us. I grabbed some mud and walked up to Gaara and shoved into my face.
“You better start running.” I screamed and started running while Gaara chased after me. “Gotcha!” he yelled when he grabbed me from behind, he slipped and fell into the mud, dragged me with him. Then everybody started throwing mud at everyone else. It was really fun until Tsunade, the principle, showed up.
“EVERYBODY COME TO MY OFFICE!” she yelled. ‘Uh-oh.’ I thought to myself. ‘Please tell me I’m not suspended.’
