The sun peaked in the room from the window, waking me up and whatever grudge I have against it. I sat up in the bed and readjusted my eyes. I could only imagine the torture I would be going through today. Maybe they would take me to a petting zoo and have me skip around. Geez. This team would be impossible.
I started to get ready, first changing into a black mini skirt, a black tube top with fishnets to cover up my stomach, and toeless black tights. I stared at my right arm, which had been scarred with the truth of my past. The only part of my past I cannot remember. I slid on my arm warmers and headed for the kitchen.
Twice a day. Don’t forget at any cost. That’s what he had said, the man that brought me to Konoha. They were just red, circular pills. I didn’t even know what they were for. I got a glass of water and took out a pill from the container, then drank it down with the water.
I didn’t bother bringing the Hidden Mist head protector today. What was the point? I had to become apart of Konoha.

We all met in the Hokage’s office. Apparently this uh ‘job’ wouldn’t totally suck.
“I’m you are wondering why you are in here.”
Fucking DUH.
“We’ll get to that as soon as everyone arrives.”
Oh great, cliffhangers.
About 1.5 seconds later, a knock was heard at the door. Well at least I didn’t have to freaking wait.
“Come in.”
Three people came and stood at the right hand side of the room. All of which had sand nin head protectors. Yaay.
“Hehey Gaara!” Naruto said and grinned at one of them. I didn’t bother looking.
“Alright. Now that everyone is here, we can start,” Tsunade said folding her hands and resting her chin on them, “It seems that the Rice Country has been attacked by the Sound Village. Since this may involve Orochimaru, and all of our other jounin are on various missions, we have called upon the help of our allies.
The vibes in the room started to darken, so I could guess they understood the seriousness of the actual mission.
“You will leave tomorrow in the very start of the day.”
Great. Another morning to wake up to the sun. I’d like to take a giant river and douse it.
“Until then,” she said and dismissed us.

I was ready to go home, pack, and then sleep. But no. Why make it easy on me?
“Hey Yuuri!” Naruto’s voice called after me.
I turned around to see him and one of the Sand nin standing next to him. I gave him an impatient look.
“Come here for a sec’.”
I reluctantly walked over to him, distancing my glance from him and the other boy.”
“Yuuri, this is Gaara. Gaara, this is our new team member, Yuuri.”
I looked at the boy and said nothing.
“Hey,” he said with his arms crossed.
Just the sound of his voice and the feeling I got when I looked into his eyes make the hairs on my arms stand up.
“Whoa, your eye just changed colours,” Naruto said leaning forward.
My body stiffened.
“It did it again… what does that mean?”
“What colour?” I asked, keeping my voice calm.
“Hmm… well it was green, and then it changed to grey.”
“Is that all you wanted?” I made sure that every cold feeling I could put in my voice was in every word.
“Um… no actually. I wanted to know if you wanted to get some ramen with me and Gaara.”
“I’m not hungry.”
“Oh, come on… please?”
I began to walk away until he grabbed my wrist. A sense of static went through my body, and he released me.
“Ow! How did you do that?”
I looked back at him and gave a half grin.
“If you want me to come that bad, I will. Just… don’t touch me again.”
“Awesome,” he said putting more thought into it than needed.

“I’m stuffed,” Naruto said after leaving the ramen bar. It’s as if the kid had a second stomach with a bottomless pit. I’ve seen wolves eat slower than that.
“I’m going now,” I said and began heading the other direction.
“Wait!” Naruto said expectedly.
“If you’re finished eating, I have no reason to stay.”
“Well… alright,” he said giving in, “I’ll see you tomorrow.”
I didn’t say anything.

That night was quiet. I stared up at the moon, laying flat on my back on the roof of the apartment. The air was cold and the wind sent a chill up my spine. Not only that… but there was the pure instinct feeling of being watched.
Possibly, I was being paranoid. Or maybe… not.
I jumped down from the roof and caught the window ledge, pulling myself back into my room.
