Chapter 7 : An Alien Has Crash-Landed In My All Girls Boarding School And He's Tutoring Me In Physics Until The Mothership Returns?!? [7]

Hey, guys! I apologize for the long wait, but things have been pretty crazy at my house, haha. School ended, and then we went on vacation and all that... but now things are settling down, so I should be able to update pretty regularly now. Enjoy!

"And here, of course, is the Deluxe Suite, where you two will be staying for this school year." A tight lipped smile found its place across Ms. Peterson's face as she stopped in front of the brown oak door that held our personal quarters. "I hope you will find it to your liking. Your father, Vanessa, had every item of furniture in it chosen especially to your tastes, so hopefully it will delight you." She bowed her head, turned, and scurried away.
Setting down my own bag (I had had to carry my own luggage up, imagine that! Just where were all the servants these days?), I carefully inserted the key in the brass lock and turned it, hearing a small click from just inside the door. "This is it!" I said, more to myself than to Dominic, who was standing at my side patiently. "The room I have been waiting for all my life..." The door swung open and I was pleasantly surprised to find it was decorated to my tastes. The color scheme was a light purple and light green theme, with various dashes of color throughout. The bed, a king-sized canopy with butterfly netting over it, looked as soft as a cloud. I couldn't wait to climb into it with a boy from a neighboring school.
I wandered through the other three rooms, which included a kitchen/dining room, our own private bath with jacuzzi, and a living room with large screen television and tasteful couches. I really really liked it.
Coming back to the main hall, I noticed Dominic reading a note that had been laid upon a dark redwood table just inside the door.
"Who's that from?" I asked casually as I checked myself out in the full length gold-plated mirror beside him. My hairdresser, the last time I had been to the salon, had done a terrible job. I noted to myself to remind my father to fire her.
"Father. He apologies for the lack of a second bed in here. He says he expects we wouldn't mind if we slept together for a couple of nights until he can get another one in here. That first one, he ordered from France. The shipping might take a while, he says, but it should be here in less than two weeks."
I groaned inwardly before whirling around to face him. "Well, I'm not sleeping with you in my bed. You have to sleep on the floor. Or the couch."
He shrugged. "Whatever. It's not like I really care that much." He put the note down and headed toward the door. "When's lunch?"
I was disappointed in his reaction. I was hoping he would put up a fight about him not getting to sleep in the bed. That maybe he wanted to sleep next to me...
No, that was gross. I pushed those thoughts out of my head. I checked my watch. "In about half an hour. Want to head down there and I can introduce you to some of my friends?"
He nodded his agreement and we headed down the marble staircase to the lower level, where most of the classrooms, dining areas, and lounges were located.
