Best Friends or something more? Ch.2

Serenity’s POV

I couldn’t go to school on Monday. I just couldn’t face my friends, and Prisilla and of course Random. That name made my stomach flip-flop. I felt sick all of the sudden. Emily, the only other person I can really talk to besides ‘him’, kept calling and asking why I wasn’t at school and if I wanted my homework. Eventually I realized the longer I stayed at home the harder it would be to go to school and the crueler people would be when I finally got back. The next morning I got up and ran a comb through my hair and threw on a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. I grabbed my backpack and held my head high. Okay, I thought, here I go. I usually got a ride from Random, but that was out of the question as of now. I started to walk to the corner were the bus stopped. Then I heard someone honking and calling my name. Random. I didn’t acknowledge him though. “Serenity get in the car!” I spun around to look at him, I was furious. “Where the hell do you get the idea you can tell me what to do?” I shouted loud enough for people to look out their windows wondering what was going on. He looked stricken and then hurt, can you believe it hurt. “Serenity look I’m sorry about what happened, but…well I wanted to ask you something. Is that okay?” I was still pissed, but I heard him out. “Serenity, like I said I’m really sorry, and I wanted to ask you if…maybe you’d like to go out with me? You know with no distractions of anything?” I looked worried, but I was excited. I walked closer to the car and whispered, “Does…does that mean you like me?” He smiled and said out loud, “ What kind of question is that? Of course that means I like you!” Then I knew I was in love.
Random’s POV

“Get in the car please?” I said, so I didn’t get her mad again. She nodded and climbed in. I couldn’t wait to get to school and see Prisilla’s face when she saw us together. She looked at me and said, “So what do we tell Prisilla when she finds out about this?” I stopped at a red light and turned in my seat. I looked at her and I couldn’t resist. I leaned over to kiss her. I was in heaven, well until a car honked behind us. I looked at the light and noticed in had turned green. “Well, that kiss wasn’t as long as I wanted it to be.” I heard her say under her breath. I didn’t answer, but once we got to the school parking lot I climbed out and went around to open the door for her. As she got out, she whispered, “Don’t look now the ice princess is looking our way.” I didn’t bother to see if it was true. I cupped her face between my hands and started to kiss her again. After we started to get too hot n’ heavy for the school parking lot, she stopped kissing me and told me Prisilla had gone inside the school fuming.” She gave me a quick kiss on my lips and then my neck. I remembered yesterday when she hadn’t shown up and I knew I was the reason. I had let her alone that day, but resolved that if she didn’t show the next day she was getting a visit from me. She started walking around me casually, but no way was that going to happen she was mine and I liked it that way. My life was perfect. I sighed as we walked into school. I knew I was in love.
