I thought Sesshomaru had a cold heart {-23-}

recap: rin had cheered you up enough to go the the ball after sesshomaru deliberatly danced with another girl to hurt you.

~Quiz Start~
"ok, rin, lets get you first. put on your dress, and i'll help you lace it up in the back, and do your hair. don't forget your boots" you reminded her. "okey dokey" she said and went to look under the bed for her luggage so she could find her dress. you remained in the bathroom to gather all the hair items and put your own dress on. rin came into the room fifteen minutes later with lace hanging down and her hair strewn about. You quietly brushed her hair. it was soothing, and both of you no longer had any tears. when you were done brushing her hair, you twisted and put it into a clippy, then pulled a few strands out of the clippy so she could have one small braid in front. next, you tied up her lace and frilled out her dress a bit, making sure she looked her best. she did. she was so cute, of course, she was cute anyway, but that was beyond the point. Next, it was your turn. she helped you get together your corset and flow your own dress out. Then you put your own hair up, leaving a few strands in the front as well. you dabbed some pale base on and did your normal black eyeliner, this time it left your eyes even brighter, yet they held a sullen look. you finished with your combats and by then it was 5:50pm. "well, we better hurry!" rin claimed. "hey rin?" you asked. "yes?" "whats so important at the ball tonight for you? do you have a ....date?" you teased. she blushed. "well..um...maybe" she said. you grinned. "go out there and get him. just don't hurt him" you both laughed. "ok lets go" you said. so you walked out the room and followed rin to the ballroom. she walked so gracefully, you could tell she wanted it to be extra special and it made you smile. when you finally got down the last stair case you didn't dare look for sesshomaru, afraid the sight you might see would be one way worse than before. So you stood by yourself in a corner and glared at the ground. you looked up everynow and then and noticed rin and the little boy holding hands and talking. you also noticed the people staring at you, so you decided to go get something to drink.
~Sesshomaru's POV~
*i haven't seen kia since she left to her room. she can't be that hurt. she'll get over it, i mean, she did the same thing to me.* -flashback earlier that day- "She didn't mean it! she danced because she thought you wanted her to!" rin said. *....i guess she didn't. but where is she? surely she came to the ball. . . or not. i should go check* you thought to yourself and headed up to the room that the three of you shared. You looked all over but you didn't find her. Then you checked the bathroom. black tear stains, but no Tsukiko. already dressed for the ball, you headed back down the stairs, and stopped when you got to the top of the main stair case. looking for Tsukiko, you spotted rin holding hands with a young boy talking, and tsukiko by the water. you hurried to catch up with her and wrapped your arms around her from behind, giving her a tight hug. "I'm sorry" you whispered in her ear. she started shaking and you noticed a black drop fall into the water and taint it black. "No, dear, no tears. I'm sorry. I did not know you meant no harm." you tried to explain. "yeah? me and rin both told you several times but you pushed us both away and made us both cry" you told him. he spun you around to face him and put his arm around your shoulder. "I do, love you. And i fell remorse for what i have done. and i know i have probably ruined your entire stay, wanted you to act as if i were the one invited, not you...and i do feel remorse. believe it or not, this demon feels. thanks to rin and you. and this is no way to repay you. all i can do is say i am sorry" you said. "Sesshomaru...it is not the fact that you danced with that women. it is the way you looked at her that saddened me. your eyes were so intense...so...charming. like it was love at first sight. it killed me.." she said. You felt this pang in your heart..one that you'd never felt before. "Queen Tsukiko, i gave such a look...without meaning. i promise you this, i have no feelings for that women. i gave her no name, she gave me none." you told her. "if you say" she said. "i do. but..now..may i dance with the one i love now?" you requested. "please" she asked. You took her hand and placed your other on her hip, she placed her other on your shoulder. the song was rather fast paced and you danced around in a large circle swirling about. *she's so beautiful...and she never notices it* you thought to yourself. "Whats wrong?" she asked. "Oh, nothing. just...thinking." you said. "wow. you don't usually do that. whatcha thinking about?" she questioned. "How beautiful you are" you told her. she blushed. she blushed badly. but she didn't disagree. you leaned in close and whispered,"Tsukiko, you really must wear a dress that shows less clevege." now she was bloodred. "W-why?" she studdered. "Kia i may be demon..and i may be Lord Sesshomaru...but i'm still a male" you explained. she giggled at you. now you were about to blush, but tried to keep from it. "I think i like this dress," she smirked. "No you don't." you told her. "why don't i?" she asked. "you don't love the dress you love teasing me." you said. "true. i really do like both..the latter a little bit more...but thats beyond the point" she giggled again. "So, having a good time are you?" prince asgarn jr. said from behind her. she spun around and backed up against you and you held her tight. "yes, a very good time indeed. thank you for asking" she told him, looking up at you. you looked down on her with love in your eyes. the prince seemed frustrated. "well....it'll will only be a few minutes before i decide which beautiful maden i decide to dance with, maybe even kiss. maybe you'll be the lucky one" he looked at her and winked, running his eyes over her perfect body. you couldn't suppress it, you began growling. but tsukiko growled back and turned around to face you. "No sesshomaru, i shall not dance with him, and he will not kiss me." she assured you. you smirked. "If you say" you said. "i do" she told you. and you both continued to dance. when prince asgarn jr. stood on top of the staircase and cleared his throat, you leaned in to tsukiko and whispered,"Lets go to the garden, before he tries to take you in." "good idea" she whispered back and you both began walking casually around everyone to get to the garden. "WAIT!" Prince Asgarn jr. called. both of you froze. "I am about to announce the madam in which i shall dance with. you may not leave the ballroom." he ordered. you started growling again, this time looking straight at him. "Shhh, Sesshomaru, i'm sure its not gonna be me anyway." she tried to assure. "I can't be sure of that" you growled throught clinched teeth. "I, Prince Asgarn the Second, wish to dance with.....Queen Tsukiko!" he announced. she began to walk her way up to the center of the ballroom when you grabbed her arm. "Kia..." you began. "Shhh, i promised you. do not worry Sesshomaru. I love you," she said, and winked. you let her go and she made her way to the middle. the prince was about to place his hands upon the only one you could ever love when Tsukiko said, "Stop! I'm sorry, Prince Asgarn the Second. I mean no embarrassement on your behalf,but there is only one i will dance with. And he is no prince...he is a Lord." she said. "Tsukiko, i beg of you. Please may i have this dance." he asked, on his knees. she glanced over at you. she could tell, even though you had a poker face, that you were nervous. "I'm sorry, Prince Asgarn Jr. but i cannot." she finished. you almost smiled, but retained yourself. "Sesshomaru-Sama. Will you show yourself?" the prince asked of you. In a couple of quick dashes you were at the center of the room. "I grant you a dance, with this beautiful woman of yours. you are truely lucky" he said, nodding, then turning away. So both you and tsukiko danced in the center circle, not being able to escape the spotlight. after so long, you twirled her into your arms so she couldn't escape, and kissed her softly on the lips. Lost in the moment, you let her go and as you turned around you noticed the little boy that was with rin did the same thing to her, except on the cheek. Tsukiko giggled, as did the whole ballroom. She took a bow, then receded into the crowd next to rin and her little fellow, as you proceeded behind her. "Rin, when you get tired, come up to our room ok?" she told her. "Ok kia" she replied. Kia reached down and gave her a hug and a kiss and grabbed your hand and led you to the garden. She sat on a bench and gazed up at the sky. Not too long after, you noticed her shivering, so you picked her up and sat her sideways in your lap and wrapped your arms around her. she layed her head down on your chest and fell into a trance, just staring up at the sky. "I love you" you whispered to her. "I love you too" she replied, and began playing with your long white hair. Finally, she fell asleep, exhausted from the entire days events. So you picked her up and walked around back of the castle, and sure enough you found what you were looking for: a quiet peaceful way to your room. You carried her up three floors not including the main staircase, and found room 666. You sat her down on the bed inside and covered her up. Still sleeping soundly, you kissed her forhead and went back downstairs in search for rin. it was 1:30am and you were getting a little drowsy. When you finally found her talking to her new friend under the garden tree. she didn't see you since her back was facing the door, so you walked up to her and scooped her up bridal style. "You will see her tomorrow before we leave" you assured the boy before walking through the main entrance and back up to room 666. you placed rin in bed next to Tsukiko and got in on her other side. "Goodnight," you whispered in her ear, closing your eyes. "Goodnight, Sesshomaru and rin" she replied, before drifting back off to sleep.
