I thought Sesshomaru had a cold heart {-23-}

Recap: sesshomaru was telling rin how she had to behave as a princess.

~Quiz Start~

"Ok sesshomaru, i understand" rin intervened. "Ok then, and Queen Tsukiko, you know how to act." sesshomaru said. "yes, Lord Sesshomaru" you replied. He nodded and opened the door. you and sesshomaru held hands and rin walked beside you as you all headed down to breakfast. since it had started at six or seven, most the people were done. so, you grabbed a pair of chopsticks, and ate what was set before you. "Sesshomaru.." you whispered. "yes, my dear" he replied, urging you to go on. "I can't eat with chopsticks!" you told him. "oh. shit. just watch me" he whispered back. "ok" you said. so for about five minutes you watched sesshomaru eat with chopsticks and pretended to carry on with a fake conversation. Then you picked up the chopsticks yourself and began to eat. it wasn't that hard, but you were certainly no expert at it. At the least, you didn't drop anything on you, anyone else, or make a mess. When breakfast was over, the butler came over to take everyone's dishes, then lead us around the castle. it was fine, not as great as sesshomaru's, for there wasn't..the same kind of...magic, you could say. but it was rather nice. the garden was pleasant, it had a stream flowing through it too. "And that concludes our tour." the butler said. he'd kept an eye on you the whole time and it was rather scary. Since the tour was over, everyone headed back to there rooms. "So, what are we gonna do now?" you asked sesshomaru. "I suppose, you could shut up and let me think" he said. You smiled. the old sesshomaru was coming back. sure having someone so handsome and beautiful be so sweet to you was nice, but you liked his whole 'bad boy' attitude. it was nice having him back. "Your word is my command" you smiled. "What are you so happy about" he asked. or rather demanded. "Nothing, its just my old sesshy is back" you replied. "Old sesshy? don't call me that." he said. "Ok, my lord" you corrected. "Mother, can we go play in the garden?" rin asked. "sure rin, why not?" you said. so you and rin headed for the garden, while sesshomaru did only satan-knows-what. While you were playing, a young, handsome guy walked over to you. he cleared his throat. "Madam, you must be Queen Tsukiko?" he guessed. "Yes, and you?" "I'm Prince Asgarn Jr." he replied. "Ah, that is a wonderful title you have" you complemented. "Thank you. But, please excuse me asking, what exactly are you queen of?" he asked. *vampires* you wanted to say. "Oh, no trouble dear really. I am Queen of the Westernlands" you lied. He picked up your hand and kissed it, smiling. "That is a very nice land, i must say." "Why, thank you, Prince Asgarn Jr." you told him. "Your very welcome. Please, come inside, we've got plenty of beveragese and food. Bring the young lady, too" he said. "Very well. Rin, will you please accompany me?" you asked, winking at her. "Yes, mother" she replied, grabbing your other hand, for Prince Asgarn Jr. had your other..it was rather embarrasing. He walked you inside through the wooden doors, showing you to the beverages. You couldn't make out what any of it was, except for the water, and you surely weren't going to try any. "Would you like anything?" he asked, still smirking."oh no, thank you very much though. I'm not thirsty" you said. "Very well then. What about you,young lady?" he asked rin. you gave her a glance that said 'no' very clearly. "Oh, no thank you sir, i'll be just fine. "If you say." he replied. the soft ballroom music was playing in your ears. *i wonder what sesshy is doing?* you thought to yourself. Then, suddenly, Prince Asgarn Jr. picked up your hand and requested,"May i have a dance, love?" it made you uncomfortable. but sesshomaru would be upset if you embarrassed the prince like that. he was probably watching from somewhere. "I suppose, you may" you said reluctantly. he smiled wide. He put both hands on your hips, and you put your hands on his shoulders and swayed to the soft music. "So, you like music do you?" he asked. "yes, how do you know?" you questioned. "Dearest, it is easy to tell you love to envelope yourself in such beautiful sounds. You sort of, get lost in it" he explained. "I'm so sorry, prince, i cannot help it" you said. "Oh, do not worry, my dear, i think it is rather attractive" he told you. that made you want to twitch. but you had to admit...this guy was very handsome. Black hair down to the middle of his back, and a black kimono with white japanese characters on it. His handsome face kept watching yours, his green eyes looking you over. you were so enveloped in them you never noticed his hands slipping down past your waist to caress your ass. Suddenly knocked out of your trance, embarrassed, and very upset, you noticed the faster paced music and grabbed one hand and held it above you so you could swirl out. But, someone else caught your hand, by suprise. You knew right away by the feel of his claws etching into your hand that it was sesshomaru. He held you very close to his chest. "Thank you, for entertaining her, but i do believe i will take it from here." sesshomaru told him. very straight. the prince blushed a bit, but then found another young girl to flirt with. But sesshomaru was tense, so he wasn't holding you close out of love, he was going to have a very 'not so nice' conversation with you. "What is wrong with you!" he whispered, angrily. "What do you mean, my lord? I did not want to dance, but i figured you would consider it a disgrace to leave him hanging, so i danced. he was rather nice, but then i felt his hands on my rear-end and i spun so he couldn't touch me like that and thats when you grabbed me" you explained in a tight whisper. "Yes i know what happened i just can't believe you let it happen!" he angrily whispered. "I'm sorry i didn't notice it at first. I'm trying my best Lord Sesshomaru!" he was pissing you off. "Well your not trying hard enough." he said. Then he put his hands on your waist and you put your hands on his shoulders. His eyes were glowing a brilliant amber...so much prettier than prince asgarn jr's. But they weren't happy. they were narrowed down and upset. "You know, i'm not strapped down to you, we're not officially 'dating' or anything...i can be with whoever i want!" you told him. "Shhh!" he ordered. "no" you said and pulled away. "I am not 'yours' because your not 'mine' and so i may be with whomever i wish. I just always choose you instead. Are you jealous of him sesshomaru?" you said in a very low voice. He took a deep breath then snarled. "Be that way" he said. "Be what way?" you asked. "a bitch. I pulled you away. i saved you from him, and you talk to me like THIS?" he told you. "No. you are the one that started in saying that i was letting him all over me when i wasn't." you said. "we're suppose to be husband and wife do you know what people would have thought?" he asked. "did you really tell them that, sesshomaru? because if you had, i do not believe that the prince would have...hit on me...like that" you accused him. "I didn't tell them...i only told you. I said that specifically so you wouldn't flirt with everyone else. apparently that didn't work!" he whispered. You reached for his hands, "i..i'm so-" you stopped midsentence when he rejected your hands and grabbed the lady's hand standing behind him. he kissed her hand and dropped to one knee, looking at her with eyes of such you'd never seen before. Eyes so charmingly enchanting. He looked as if he'd seen love at first sight. but it confused you. "Sessh-" you began but the lady giggled and he began dancing in circles with her. when she had her back to you he smirked at you and gave you and evil look mouthing 'you did it to me.' but you felt crushed. you hadn't danced out of spite. you'd only danced because you thought thats what sesshomaru wanted. rin was confused also. you weren't sure if she had heard your whispering conversation, but she was confused. "Rin..s-stay here with him" you commanded, pointing at sesshomaru, before walking as quickly as possible up the main stair case. you like the mean sesshomaru but not one who hurt you on the inside like that. finally, you found room 666 and practically fell through the door. tears were beginning to escape as you shut the bathroom door behind you and locked it, sitting on the bathroom floor against the tub to cry your emotions out. you didn't know how to explain it. you knew he didn't really love the girl, he was only dancing with her to get back at you, even though you didn't do anything. and like you had said, you weren't officially dating him, so neither one of you were exactly tied down. yet you danced for a different reason and he is dancing for another. It was the way that he looked at her that got to you. he never looked at you like that before...so maybe he didn't love you after all. he could look at anyone like that and have them believe that he loved them. you felt like a total and complete failure. you couldn't make him happy no matter how hard you tried. it just never worked. "I'm such a slutty goth looking failure of a bitch" you told yourself out loud, before bursting into tears. Then you heard a knocking. "GO AWAY!" you yelled. "But kia.." "idc..go away!" you yelled. not noticing it was rin. you heard a little sob. the door clicked open and you ran over to see her with tears dripping down your face. "I'm so sorry dear i didn't realize it was you" you said. "its..ok..kia" she said. "no, i'm so sorry...i..i didn't realize...i'm so caught up about myself..i just..idk..." you tried to explain it but you couldn't. "shhhh, its ok mommy" rin said. you smiled. she'd never said it like that before. "god i love you rin" you told her, picking her up and holding you in her arms. "I'll be right back" she told you, jumping up. "ok dear" you replied, and she ran out the door. you wrapped your arms around your knees and cried some more.
~Rin's POV~
you ran down the staircases as fast as you could until you reached the ballroom floor. Sesshomaru was standing in the corner, surrounded by women wanting to dance with him and gaze at him. you tried your best to get through the crowd until you found sesshomaru's leg and you tugged on his kimono until you finally caught his attention. he spotted you immediately and got on one knee to listen. "Yes, rin" he said. "You hurt Tsukiko. You should fix it. She didn't mean to do that to you. she thought you wanted her to dance because you would consider it disgraceful to embarrasse a prince in his own castle. she didn't know he was going to do what he did and you hurt her bad. Sesshomaru.. will you please make it better?" you asked him. "Get away, rin" he said. a tear welled up in your eye. "But sesshomaru.." you said. "I said go" he continued. "Lord sesshomaru you hurt tsukiko and you need to go fix it!!" you yelled. everyone was surprised. "She's just a girl. pay no attention to her" he covered. and everyone went back to what they were doing. you ran up to Tsukiko crying and you fell into her arms. "did he hurt you?" she asked. "No, but he told me to go away." you said. Then a knocking came on the door. "yes?" kia called. the door opened and a young boy the age of seven in a cute little kimono stood there, blushing. you smiled at him through your tears. "You wanna...wanna...wanna go play??" he finally asked. "sure thing!" you replied. "I'll see you later kia!" she told you, before running out the door with the little boy to go play in the closet.
~Kia's POV~
you sat there for a minute, smiling. until you realized you were alone. you curled up to yourself and cried steadily. just thinking about it. playing the scene over and over. you knew it was not good to let such a little thing get to you, but, being in your human form, you had alot of emotion. "why does he do this to me. one second he's so sweet to me. the next minute he punctures my heart, and now he's crushing me. what am i suppose to do? keep coming back???...probably" you told yourself. you cried alot more until your tears wouldn't come and you stayed in your room most of the day. until 4pm. then you heard a knocking. "who is it?" you groaned. "just me," rin said, opening the door. "ok dear, what is it that you need?" you asked her. "its time to get ready for the ball!" she shouted gleefully. "Ok dear. have fun. do you need me to redo your hair?" you asked her. "Oh no kia, your coming too!" she said. You rolled your eyes. "i can't rin. if you were older you would understand. if i see him down there dancing with another women, i'll burst into tears in front of everyone" you told her. "I'll be there, don't worry kia. please. i promise" she comforted you. "Ok rin. for you" you said. "yay!" she shouted and jumped up and down. "now, lets get ready!!!" she yelled.

thats it for this chapter. i'm writing and writing a story a day and they're pretty long so i dont' believe i have a writer's block anymore. yayyyy!!!
