Chapter 3 : The Most Annoying Guy At School Likes Me!?! But I Can't Stand Him!!! Part 2
Slowly I began to awaken. Everything came out blurry at first, but then things began to come into focus. I saw that I was in a room. It was not my room but it was not a hospital room either. The wall of the room had bash touch to it giving the room a cozy atmosphere. I started to sit up but as I did, I laid back down. My head hurt where I was hit with the gun. I put my hand there to rub it when I feel a wet towel on my head.
At that moment, Connor entered the room. He was carrying a bowl of what seemed to be water. “Oh, you are awake. I didn’t expect you to wake up so soon,” he said with concern in his voice. Now that he was closer, I could see that he had bruises on his face. “Connor, are you okay?” I asked as I sat up and touched his face. A chill went down my spine as my hand met his face. His eyes closed as if he was trying to memorize the feel of my hand.
Slowly he grabbed my hands, sending me another chill, and took it off his face. When he opened his eyes, they looked as if they did not want to do that. “Hey I should be the one asking you that. Are YOU okay?” he said as a smile returned to his face. All the sudden the pain in my head came back. “Oww!” I said as I put my hand back to my forehead. “I thought so. Here, let me look at that. Now his hands touched my face. They felt cool and smooth on my acing forehead. He quickly garbed a fresh new towel and put it on my fore head. It was a while before any of us spoke. “I think you will be fine by tomorrow. I think you should rest now. I’ll go get some food for you,” he said as he left. My head was spinning now. I laid back down so the spinning ness would stop.
Connor came back into the room a few moments later with a tray of food. He gently put the tray on the nightstand next to the bed. Then he sits next to me on the bed and stares at me. Then at that moment, something popped up in my head. “Connor how long have I been here?” I asked with a strong voice. He looked like he was expecting this. “You have been here for two days,” he said in a clam voice.
“What?” I yelled. ‘Oh no, I am so grounded! My friends and my family must be so worried!’ “I need the phone! I need to tell my family where I am! They hopefully they haven’t sent a search party after me yet!” I said franticly. I started to get up and I fell down to the floor. I started to get up again when Connor grabbed me by the waist and lightly put me back on the bed. I then started getting up again but I was pushed back down by Connor.
“Calm down Maggie. Your family already knows you are here. They were here earlier this morning and brought you extra clothes. Now eat so you can go home tomorrow,” he said as he saw the panicked look on my face. He let go of me when I stopped struggling. “Why do I get to go home tomorrow?” I asked. Connor smiled at me and gave me a chuckle. “If you haven’t noticed Maggie, it’s nearly midnight.” I look at the clock on the nightstand and it read 11:57pm. “Great,” I said sarcastically. Connor just chuckled and left the room.
