Torn Between You Both (Vampire Love Story) Intro

Yay! Christian and Hayden are coming back from summer vacation! I'm really really excited! I haven't seen either of them in two months. It was really, really boring.

"Hey there Juliet!"
"Hey Hayden!" He looked different. So different. His black hair looked darker, because his face was paler. His eyes had dark circles under them... and somehow he was even more goodlooking then he had been before.

"Something's changed... hasn't it?" He asked, his eyes becoming alert.
"What?" I asked, "No!"
"Yeah..."
Just then Christian came over to me. "Juliet..."
"Chris..."
"I sense it too." He whispered. I realized that he was paler too!
What was going on?
"Um guys?"
"Sorry, Juliet." Hayden said, and he looked sorry.
"I'll stay with her, and explain-"
"No! Chris you can't explain anything to her!"
"She deserves to know. Look... I'll take care of her. I promise."
"Fine." Hayden gave me a hug, which I gladly returned, and then he left.

Chris and I had never been close before... we barely knew each other.
But today, he was my best friend, I guess. Or maybe more?
"Sit here..." He breathed into my ear, sending chills up my spine. I obeyed him, and I sat there.
He immediately wrapped me into a hug, and I just pressed my face into the front of his shoulder. For a warm day, he was so cold.
"Juliet... if I tell you what happened this summer... you have to promise to stay with me and my brother."
"Why wouldn't I?" I asked, "You are my friends!"
"Just...please. Promise me?"
"Okay. Christian I promise."
