Brooklyn found herself getting use to kissing Jason when nobody was watching. He was spontaneous about it, she never knew if he was going to just talk or pull her behind something to kiss her.

Currently Brooklyn was at Pat and Jen's house. Craig demanded she watch the Arrested Development marathon that was going to be on with him.

The marathon didn't last long considering Emily turned off the TV and demanded they do something more interesting. Craig pouted for a few minutes before giving in. Brooklyn promised to buy him the season DVD's he didn't have.

"Oh man! Lets play Monopoly!" Brad demanded finding it in a closet.

"Okay!" Pat jumped at the suggestion.

"I hate Monopoly." Brooklyn chimed in, as they didn't hesitate to pull out the game and start setting up on the coffee table right away.

"Nobody cares what you hate." Matt picked his piece before anybody else could.

Brooklyn stood with a disgusted look on her face, her mouth half hanging open. She tried to think of something witty to come back with but she didn't have anything so she just stared. Jason mocked her. She made it a point to pull his hair before throwing herself on the couch to watch.

Half way through the game Brooklyn started falling asleep. She rolled over on the couch and covered her head up with one of the pillows while shoving her body between the couch cushions to try and keep warm.

"You better not be going to sleep!" Pat punched her in the back of the thigh.

"What? Sleep? Who sleeps? I don't sleep." She mumbled into the couch really just wanting a blanket.

"You bitch." He got up and sat on her in hopes it'd keep her awake, but it just made her grunt and want to sleep a bit more.

"It's like twelve thirty." She whined batting at him as he jumped up and down shaking the couch.

"It's early yet." He demanded.

"Lets go for a walk!" Jen suggested.

"It's dark out!" Craig pointed at the window, like a bobcat would eat them.

"Get a flashlight, pussy." She hopped up, kicking the board game halfway across the room so they'd have to quit playing.

Everyone seemed pretty into the idea of going for a walk.

"I think I'm going to just stay here." Jason stated.

"Me too, I'm going to go to bed." Brooklyn stated.

"You guys are assholes!" Matt yelped.

"Oh well." Jason yawned.

"Tired assholes." Brooklyn informed him.

"I'm going to watch sex and the city." Jason shrugged, pushing Brooklyn's legs aside so he could sit down.

Once everyone left Brooklyn waited for what was to come next with Jason. He turned on the TV to TBS right away.

It didn't take Jason's arm long to snake around her and tug her closer. She felt content and decided she was going to be up for the marathon if it was going to be the way she thought it was. He didn't try anything else though, for the time being Brooklyn became interested in Sarah Jessica Parker's new boyfriend named Aiden and what was going to happen between them when the feeling of Jason's lips brushed her ear and gently placed a kiss on her neck. She looked over at him from the TV as he tried to hide his smirk.

"Sneaky sneaky there, are we?" She asked shaking her head as she looked back to the TV.

"I don't know what you mean." He shook his head.

Brooklyn stood up to go to the bathroom. He smirked lightly at her and gave her his ever so famous dirty looks, squinting his eyes tightly as she walked toward the hallway.

Out of curiosity he picked up her sidekick sitting on the table and turned it on. It made a few noises before showing a picture of Tyson in the background. He looked at the list of missed calls as it flashed vibrantly showing there were a lot. Most if not all of them were from Matt, there were 43 of them. He shut the phone off and laid it back down on the table and sighed. He was starting to rethink what he was doing.

Brooklyn walked back out and sat down next to him. She smiled and patted his leg; he glanced at her then smiled back.

She scooted closer to him, hoping it'd make his arm fall around her again, but it didn't. He put both of his hands into his lap and crossed his legs.

Brooklyn sighed and stared back at the TV. Now she was really confused. She was practically screaming at him to get some sort of interaction, but there was no reaction.

"You're a tad quiet all of the sudden." She stated, not looking away from the TV.

"Yeah." He nodded.

She waited a moment for an explanation, but he didn't say anything more so she decided to.

"Is something wrong?" She asked.

Jason shook his head and kept staring at the TV avoiding eye contact.

"Don't lie to me." She chuckled slightly trying to get him to loosen up. He glanced at her, forcing a little bit of a smile back. "Tell me." She patted his knee.

"Everything's fine." He reassured.

"Liar." She mumbled moving to the other side of the couch.

Jason sighed heavily, muted the TV, then stared at her for a moment.

Brooklyn waited for anything, it felt like a million years before he spoke.

"I don’t think it's right I keep trying to force a relationship, or anything with you for that matter." He began.

Brooklyn wanted to butt in and tell him he wasn't forcing anything, but he shushed her before she could.

"Let me finish." He held up his hand, but she just wanted to talk. "You're obviously still with Matt. I shouldn't be trying to push into the middle of it. I'm sorry." He stood up and started for the door.

"You're not trying to push your way in on anything, there isn't anything to be pushed in on!" She tried as he put his shoes on.

"I think you just need to think about things. After you've thought about it and made your decision, I'll be happy for you whatever it is. I just don't want to force it from you. I don’t want to be with someone because they pity me because I keep trying. You just need to think about what you really want." He turned and walked out the door, slamming it before she could say anything else.

Brooklyn felt like her legs were going to give out as she moved closer to the door to open it, by the time she did Jason was already pulling out, and not looking back.

She stared at the emptiness of the outside as tears formed in her eyes and slid down her cheeks.
