Caecus, the Unseen Hero pt. 15

Two caped figures were walking down a long tunnel. It had once been a train or subway, but had been abandoned for over twenty years. Batman and Superman, they were known to many.
"Batman! I found something!"
"A wall of ice. Congratulations, Clark," replied Batman.
"No, Bruce. Not a wall. It's thicker than anything that I've ever seen, and there's something inside it. I can't make it out."
Bruce sighed. "Fine, show off your heat vision. Just don't burn me... again!"
"Than stand back this time," Clark pushed through the ice with streams of heat flowing from his eyes. "Didn't Dick mention that the last time he saw Tabby, Freeze was chasing them down an abandoned tunnle?"
A small figure stood frozen a few yards into the ice. Batman saw the facial features first. "Clark! There she is! Do not burn her."
"I doubt it would do much if I did. You once said that Freeze's effects would kill anyone trapped longer than just barely an hour, if that."
"You never know. I could have made a mistake," Bruce said sarcasticly.
The body was standing perfectly on the frozen ground. Her eyes were closed, her head leaned slightly to one side, and her hair looked as if it had been tossed by the wind. She hadn't aged a day!
"Bruce, be ready to catch her. She's almost free. Do you want to hold the body until we can get back to Head Quarters?"
"Yes. Just let Flash know what we're bringing. He'll want to see her."
The ice broke, allowing the body to fall freely into Bruce's arms. "Superman, please use your X-ray."
"For the third time in my life, alright. Her major organs were unharmed, and... Bruce, her heart is beating!"
"She's breathing easily! I've never seen anything like it!"
Clark looked closely. "Tabby? Can you hear me?"
Tabby's eyes fluttered gently and opened on Bruce's masked face. "Bruce? Clark? You're so... old. How... how long was I out?"
Her head fell back against Bruce's chest.
He looked up at Clark. "Tabby, I do beleive you have been frozen for about eleven years."
