"Justin, wake up," I said, throwing a pillow at him, the book in my other hand.
He immidietly woke up. "Ow, and why?"
"I think I just found a way to get Nami back to normal."
"It's true," Moegi added.
"And... how?"
"Hopefully, the answer's in here," I said, throwing the book to him. "Try to find the most recent page."
Justin started skimming through it until we got the the last page Nami's Yin wrote. The three of us strated reading it, only it was in some other language. We couldn't even read a letter, if there were any letters.
"What the heck is all this?" Moegi asked, grabbing and turning the book in all directions to see if another angle would work.
"Looks to me we'll need a translator," Justin said, eyeing me.
"Don't look at me. I don't know this either," I said in my defence.
"Ok then, tomorrow I take it to Tsunade and you go back home and tell Kayla," Justin said.
"Do I have to go back home. WIth how Nami is right now, I don't know if I'll get out alive."
"Why? Is Nami mad at you?" Moegi asked.
Justin and I looked at eachother. We definitly didn't want to tell Moegi the story about all this since she was too young.
"Well, she's mad alright," I said with a nervous grin.
"Madly flirteous-"
"Shut it," I said, hitting Justin upside the head.
The next day, Justin and I exited the house and we went our seperate ways. Justin to the KIA stone, and me to the Hokage's Office. I knocked on tsunade's door, hearing her say I could come in. Inside, nothing really changed since last night. Tsunade was doing paper work and Hinata and Kiba were asleep in some chairs at the side of the room, Hinata's head on Kiba's shoulder. Were they gping out? I guess thing would be explained righta after this mess was cleared up.
"Welcome back Eriol. What you got there?"
I explained to her about last night and how we got the book, as well as its foreign content.
"Hm, this writing."
"What is it? Do you know it?"
"No, its very old writing that was used a very long time ago. Long before Konoha was even created," Tsunade explained, making me narrow my eyes down at the book on the desk. "Do you know anyone who understands the writing? It's most likely the only way to get Nami back to her old self."
A sly smile appeared on Tsunade's lips. "Still interested in the girl, I see."
I groaned. What was it with people always assuming I liked Nami? Then again, I used to before the real world and the Naruto world got cut off. "It's nothing. I'm just trying to get her back to normal."
She sighed. "Very well then, Eriol. But you'll be having some difficulty with this. Go to Tenten, for the past two and a half years, not only has she been training, but studying other foreign languages of the Ninja world."
I cocked my eyebrow. "Tenten studying world language. Isn't that ironic."
"I know right?" she said with a chuckle, handing me back the book.
I went out of the buiilding in search of Tenten. Luckily, it wasn't that hard finding her. She, Lee, and Neji were in the training grounds, sparing.
Neji was the first to spot me. "Hm, nice to see you again after all this time, Eriol."
I nodded. "Like wise."
Lee and Tenten looked my way, just as surprised. "Eriol!"
"Yeah, that's me."
"Oh, that must mean Justin is here too! Full of youth!" Lee exclaimed.
I sweatdropped. "Um, he's heading back home now to contact Kayla. He's fine."
"So what's up? I thought you were supposed to be with Nami right now," Tenten said with a chuckle, remembering what happened at the bar yestersay.
I grew an anime vien. "You best keep quiet about that. Besides, I need you to translate something. I heard that's what you do besides practicing weapontry."
She smirked, taking the book. She opened up to the bookmarked page, seeing the old writing. Neji and Lee looked over her soulder to see. What I didn't expect was for her eyes to open wide, almost with fear.
"What?"
"T-This writing.... Oh boy."
"Would someone eplease just start explaining already?" I asked, getting impatient and tired of the drama.
"We need to get to your world. There I'll explain," she said, pulling on my shirt from behind. "Neji! Lee! I'll see you guys after a few hours!"
I used my necklace to transport me and Tenten into the real world. I didn't want to risk using the KIA stone and appearing in Nami's closet. If Justin went that way, she'd be expecting me there. We appeared in the kitchen, and I felt a little chakra drain from me. Didn't matter though. Justin and Kayla were sitting and talking over hot chocolate.
"See, told he;d come soon," Justin said.
Kayla rolled her eyes. "I see you've finnaly returned. Jutsin explained everything to me. Now you, start explaining why you got Tenten here."
"Tsunade says she can translate the writing in the book," I answered, throwing it onto the counter.
Kayla flipped through some of the pages. "OK Tenten, what do you know about this?"
"For one, Nami sold her soul to the Hoshikomane. Her soul was split in half, the yin being sealed in her musicbox and the yang left inside her body."
"Well we already knew that part," Justin said. "Anything new?"
"There's nothing we can do about it. She signed a contract and we can't interfear," Tenten explained.
"You sure?" I asked, hoping there was one way, any way.
"If that last page is correct, then there is one thing writen in the contract. She can have someone replace her. Nami's soul will become whole again, while the person taking her place has their soul split in two."
"So basicly, that Hoshikomane tricked Nami into that sacrifice ritual," I summed up.
Tenten nodded her head in reply, until Kayla stood up from her seat. "If anyone, I'll take her place. I'm her older sister and I was supposed to be watching her. If I had done somethgin, maybe Nami never would have done anything so foolish."
"I'm afraid that won't be possibility, Kayla. In the ritual, only those of royal blood were sacrificed. And Nami's the reincarnation fo Sanyu, who was of royal blood. The same rules apply in taht contract Nami signed."
"Isn't there anyone who is of Royal Blood then?" I asked. "I'll do anyting. I'll search for this person no matter how far, I'll do anything."
"Eriol... Hm, it's been a while since I've heard you say something like that," Jsutin said with a soft look on his face.
"And you'e already found him," Tenten added. "That's you, Eriol. You're of royal blood."
"What?" we all asked.
"Nami told me two and a half years ago, that there was also a reincarnation of Prince Kouta. Eriol, you are that reincarnation. You are of royal blood."
My eyes widened. Nami and Tenten knew about this the whole time. And judging by the look on Justin's and Kayla's faces, they didn't know either.
"I promissed Nami when we talked in the bushes, that I wouldn't tell anyone, especially you, Eriol. The reason for that was because Nami was very unsure of her feelings for you. She practically panicked when she found our the both of us lived as best friends in a past life."
Justin chuckled. "For some reason, I'm not so surprised thagt Eriol's Kouta."
"So Eriol, you still willing to do anything?" Kayla asked, getting back to the original subject.
I thought for a few seconds before coming up with my answer. "Yes."
Tenten narrowed her eyes. "You do know that if you do, all that will be left in your body will be your yang."
"You sure about this man?" Jsutin asked, getting nervous.
"I'm sure," I said, looking to my right. On the counter was a picture of me, Jsutin, and Nami. It was of Nami's 13th birthday. I could still remember that day, they day I gave her that musicbox. "In our past lives, she sacrificed herself to save me. Now that it's probabaly centuries later, I think now would be the appropriate time to repay her."
Justin sighed. "Whatever you say. I just hope you knwo what you're doing." 'I can only imagine how Nami will react when she's back to normal and finds out about this.'
Durring late afternoon, Justin, Kayla, and I headed for the Vilage of Sttone, to go to the temple ruins where the Hoshikomane resided. Justin's been pesting me the entire time abotu if I really wanted to do this. In reality, I should be asking myself that question. Maybe... I really did have feelings for Nami if I was willing to give myself up for her.
"Are we almost there? I don't enjoy carrying my sister for miles to come you know," Kayla said, reminding us she was still here. Before we left the house, we knocked Nami out and brought her with us unconsious.
We arrived outisde the temple and set the unconsious Nami against a tree. "I'll go in. You gusy stay here and watch Nami, amke sure she wakes up."
"What about you though?" Justin asked. "If your soul really does split, this will really be the last time we'll talk to you, well, the real you."
"Yeag, but know Nami, she'll try to find some way to bring me back. Even if there is no way," I said, looking at the temple. "Watch her for me, alright?"
"Will do, bro," Justin said with a nodd.
"Good luck, kid," Kayla said with a salute.
I nodded and ran into the temple.
~JUSTINS'S POV~
It's been about 15 minutes since Eriol has walked into the temple. Meanwhile, I have been pacing back in forth in front of the two Masaki sisters leaning agiainst the tree.
"Would you cut that out already, Justin? I'm strating to gte a headace."
"Sorry, I'm just so worried. Don't you think something would have happened by now?"
Suddenly, we saw Nami's eyes flinch. Kayla and I got in front of her as her eyes began to open. They looked like the same ones she had before she strated acting weird.
"Nami? You back in your head now?" Kayla asked.
"What?" she asked, cocking her eyebrow as she rubbed her head. Suddenly I remembered everything from when I signed that contract. Then after a large black, it all comes to here. "W-What just happened? And where's Eriol?" Clearly something bad had just happened, as usual. Then I realized where we were, at the ruins. I senced Eriol's chakra inside of it. "No..."
"I'm afraid so," Justin said sadly. "Tried to stop him."
"B-But... h-he can't. Is he stupid or what?"
'My guess is that he's in love,' Kayla thought.
Suddenly, we saw an explosion of smoke form the temple. I looked up and saw Eriol there. It seems he used a paper bomb. Now that I realized I was back to normal, he must have gave up his own soul and took my place in the contract. Now... "Eriol."
His icy glare was most noticible in his eyes, even from afar. Then he dissapeared in a puff of smoke. Just when I thought I wouldn't lose him, I do. "Oh boy..."
