“Hey Tenten, can I ask you something?” Sasuke asked.

“Yeah sure, go ahead.”

“Is… is Naruto, is he gay?” Sasuke questioned. Tenten stopped dead in her tracks.

“So, you finally figured him out huh? Is that ok, or do you have something against gay people?” Tenten looked at Sasuke quizzically.

“No, not at all, in fact one of my best friends from Tokyo was gay. I was just wondering if Naruto was that’s all.” Sasuke defended himself.

“Ok then Uchiha, can I ask you something? And you have to answer truthfully.” Tenten asked mischievously. Sasuke hesitated a moment then nodded his head. “Go ahead.”

A shocked look spread a crossed Sasuke’s face. The Uchiha was silent until Tenten lightly shoved his shoulder prompting. “Well, are you or not?”

“No, I, I don’t think so.” Sasuke stammered.

“You don’t think so? What’s that supposed to mean?” Tenten asked.

“It means I’m not sure of my preferences yet, ok?” Sasuke replied, wanting to drop the subject.

“Here, let’s put it this way. Have you ever dated anyone before?”

“Well, I had a girlfriend in the seventh grade, but it only lasted about a week. Since then I’ve been single.” Sasuke put bluntly. Tenten sighed.

“Surely you could have gotten a date after that! I’m mean come on, your hot!” Tenten exclaimed.

“Possibly, but why date someone unless you have feelings for them?” Sasuke shrugged.

“Is there anyone you might have feelings for here?” Tenten pushed.

“As in a crush? Well, there may be one person.” The raven replied.

“Really? Guy or girl?”

“Like I’d tell you!”

“Come on, please!! If you tell me I’ll tell you who I like.”

“I don’t care who you like”

“Stop being so stubborn! What if I buy you lunch?” Tenten persisted. Sasuke sighed. He was really getting sick of Tenten pestering him. He glared at her for a second then took a deep breath.

“Fine, but you have to get me what ever I want to eat from wherever I want to go.” Sasuke demanded. Tenten smiled widely then shook her head rapidly. “It’s a deal!”

“Ok, I… I guess I’ve kinda developed a bit of a crush on Naruto.” Sasuke said then looked away, trying to hide the small blush that was forming. There was a fangirl like squeak that came from Tenten then some giggling.

“Ahh, yaoi love is sooooooooo cute!” the girl squeaked again.

“Ok, ok, let’s go.” Sasuke muttered as he walked past Tenten. She followed, smiling broadly and giving Sasuke odd looks all the way.

“After they were done shopping the two went to apple bees for lunch. Sasuke ordered the most expensive thing on the menu plus a huge dessert. He cleaned Tenten broke with the bill and walked off with a full stomach. Tenten was in a bit of a bad mood for the trip home. Serves her right. Sasuke thought to himself.

Music filled Sasukes ears as he entered his room. He looked to see Naruto, laying on his bed, talking on his cell phone while music was playing. The blonde had apparently not notice Sasuke’s arrival because he continued on with his conversation on the phone.

“Dude, Kiba, you just don’t understand. First off, he’s hot, and second I just seem totally attracted to him. It’s like I can’t keep my eyes off him whenever he’s around…WHAT THE HELL DID YOU JUST SAY?!? You sick pervert! Oh my god, Kiba honestly, why cant you just try to understand for once? ………..Oh, just, go make out with Hinata somewhere…Right back at ya dude. Seriously though, I want to get to know him better before I get to obsessed…..I am not already obsessed! I just wanted to talk about him with someone…..No man, I’ve known the guy for less than I week! I’m not gunna ask him out. Hell, I don’t even now if he’s gay. He’d probably freak out and want nothing to do with me. Talk about awkward being as we have to share a dorm room.”

Sasuke backed up out of sight as he overheard the conversation. Naruto was talking about him! Naruto had a crush on him? Part of him wanted to go up to Naruto and tell him that he didn’t need to be afraid of rejection. That he had a crush on him to. But he also thought it would be better to wait and really make sure of his feelings before he confessed anything to the blonde. The ravens head was spinning and his heart was racing as he listened. He was almost afraid that the blonde would hear his heart pounding.

“Dude, look, you can’t just go up to a guy and ask him out, it’s weird…..am not! Hey you’d be nervous to if you were in my position…whatever…….yeah that’s really reassuring. Well whatever. I’d better let ya go, Sasuke will be back soon. See ya.” Naruto hung up the phone the rolled over to stare up at the ceiling. Sasuke stayed hidden for about five minutes then opened and shut the door so as to sound as if he just arrived. He walked into the room and dropped his bags onto the bed.

“Yo, how’d shopping with Tenten go?” Naruto asked casually.

“Not bad. She’s a bit nosey though.” Sasuke sighed.

“Hehe, ya she can be. So, what did ya get?” Naruto laughed.

“Um, a few accessories from Hot Topic, a new pair of jeans, and Tenten even persuaded me to get both of my ears pierced.” Sasuke sighed as he moved his hair back to show a yin-yang stud in each ear. Naruto chuckled.

“She got you too huh? A few years ago she got all the guys to get their ears pierced. She said it was supposed to be some kind of symbol for the group or something like that. Figured it be brilliant if the whole group had there ears pierced. Anyway, you should have seen Kiba fight against it. There wasn’t a way in hell that he’d just waltz in there and get his ears pierced. But finally, she got him. She even got Shino! So now the whole group has there ears pierced.” Naruto blabbed. There was a bit of a silence then the blonde piped up again.

“Tenten, she didn’t ask you anything…personal, did she?” Naruto inquired almost looking worried. Had Naruto guessed that Tenten might have blabbed something about Naruto having a crush on him? Sasuke flinched slightly.

“Um, no not really.” He answered. “Hey is this Within Temptation? I love these guys.” Sasuke questioned about the music, eager to change the subject.

“yeah It sure is! I burnt myself a couple CDs of them. My favorite song by them is probably ‘Say my name’. What about you?” Naruto replied.

A few weeks passed little activity. Naruto and Sasuke continued to angst over each other, not sure how to deal with their feelings. All they were sure of was that their feelings for each other were growing stronger day by day. On the up side, Sasuke felt as if he was a full member of the group, and was accepted as such. He was often invited to little excursions with some of them, and would join in on conversations instead of just listen to them. It was definitely progress. Now if only he could feel comfortable around Naruto.

“Hey Ino, What are you planning on doing for your birthday this year?” Chouji asked as he, Ino, Sasuke, Naruto, Kiba, and Tenten walked down the street after eating lunch at Sizzlers.

“I’m glad you asked Chouji. In fact, this weekend I’m inviting everyone to my uncles house for a huge party.” Ino gleamed proudly.

“Wow, your Uncles place? That place is huge!” Kiba exclaimed.

“Well ya, we need room for all the people. It’ll be a sleepover. Were gunna clean out the basement so we can have a nice dance floor, there’ll be music, movies on the big screen, food galore, my uncles gunna hook up the party lights and huge speakers, it’ll be awesome.” Ino laughed.

“That’s a lot of stuff!” Sasuke added.

“Ino’s uncle’s supper rich.” Naruto informed Sasuke.

“Yup, and as soon as he croaks, I’m gunna inherit the whole lot of it.” Ino nodded.

“Seriously? Who says you get it all?” Tenten gasped.

“Hello, my uncle adores me. He told me himself that I’m gunna inherit all his money.” Ino confirmed.

“I bet he wants you to use the money for stuff like college loans Ino.” Naruto put in. Ino opened her mouth but said nothing.

“Nice one Naruto! That shut her up!” Kiba chuckled as he gave Naruto a high five.

“Yeah and see if you get invited you jerks.” Ino replied, holding in laughter.

“Come on Ino, you love us to much to not invite us!” Kiba said.

“Yeah plus, without us, there is no party!” Naruto added.

The rest of the week went by with everyone anticipating Ino’s big party. Finally the day arrived. Saturday.

And I shall end here because I’m tired of typing. I know im lazy but oh well. C ya at chapter five.
