The next week came slowly and Edge was still tense since Vickie hadn't been seen. I expected Edge to be merciless towards me until Undertaker gave in, but Edge barely laid a finger on me! I did my best to stay on his good side which seemed all too easy since he never threatened me.
"No one's seen Undertaker, Kane, or Vickie since two weeks ago when Sophie was kidnapped," Teddy said to Edge.
"What if you put them in a match? Do you think they'd show up then?" Edge asked without a stern tone in his voice.
"Edge, you'd know Undertaker better than anyone here," Teddy replied acting clam like Edge.
"Now that's where you're wrong, Teddy," Edge said lifting up a finger as he glanced down over his shoulder at me.
I kept mouth shut tight in case I made Edge boil over with the slightest remark.
"What if you have him as a guest on your talk show? Maybe then he'd bring Vickie out since it isn’t considered a match," Teddy said boldly.
My eyes widened as Edge turned back to his General Manager.
"That might work, but it would be pointless. Undertaker doesn't talk to anyone accept his brother and his current love interest," Edge spoke thinking of Kane and myself.
I bit my lower lip to keep a protest inside. It was getting to the point where everyone on the entire WWE roster called me Undertaker’s love interest. I was the only one that refused to believe that.
"I don't know what else to offer you Edge," Teddy finished as he sat back down in his office chair.
"Come on," Edge urged me.
He lifted his hands ready to push my shoulders out but never made contact even if I didn't move. I did as I was told though in case he had plans made for when Vickie returned. Edge led the way through the crowded hallways to the ring. I caught a few glances as I passed by behind the man who was keeping me prisoner.
"When you have a chance to run you should usually take it," I heard Michelle say.
I sighed continuing to follow Edge as a few more remarks were spoken.
"I don't see what makes her so special. She can't even win a tag team match with Undertaker as a partner," Maryse's words burned in me.
"It's a shame a prisoner with such beauty is the center of every man's fantasy life," Batista said making me stop.
Edge turned a moment after knowing I stopped.
"Hey Batista, keep your mouth shut unless you wanna get beat by me again," Edge threatened remembering what happened the last time Batista and I met.
Edge turned away as I desperately wanted to forget what Batista's smirk looked like. I kept my eyes low to the ground as Edge's music blasted ahead of me. Edge walked out still ahead of me heading straight to the ring letting his fireworks go off without him. I followed hearing a few fans and their personal opinions on Undertaker's interest in me.
Edge was kind enough to lower the ropes for me as I stepped into the ring seeing his talk show already set up. I stood in the center of the ring making sure I wouldn't make Edge nervous about running away.
"A week has gone by and Undertaker still hasn't returned my Vickie," Edge said into the mic.
I kept my head down listening to the crowd booing at Edge.
"The only reason that I could think of why Undertaker hasn't returned her to me, is because he's waiting for her bruises to heal since I want her back without a scratch or a bruise," Edge said getting a little angry.
I nearly jumped out of my red shoes as music blasted through the stadium speakers. Edge finally took control and pulled me closer to him. Out of the two men that were in the stadium with me, I didn’t want to be with either one.
Batista held the same smirk he had when he first saw me. I turned my head away staying at Edge’s side even when Batista came right up in Edge's face. Edge pulled me farther behind him as Batista chuckled.
"Take it easy Edge. I'm not here to steal the only leverage you have over Undertaker. Although that is a good idea, I think I'll pass on that mistake," Batista spoke into his own mic.
"Don't give me the reasons why you aren't here," Edge said making a simple comeback.
"I only came out here to apologize and take an apology," Batista spoke leaving out the details.
"I wanted to say sorry to Sophie after what happened a few weeks back that clearly pissed off the Undertaker," Batista said making my head perk up.
"And the apology you want?" Edge asked.
"I found her," Batista said smiling.
Edge's grip loosened as his hand dropped to his side. I came out and around to see Edge's face. He was in shock as he stared up the ramp. I followed his gaze seeing Vickie at the top of the ramp running down to Edge.
I stood to the side turning my face away a few moments later when Vickie and Edge decided to show each other how much the missed one another. The fans were louder than normal, expressing their opinion on Vickie's return.
"So I would love to hear that very heartfelt apology you have for me after I found the love of your life," Batista quoted Edge.
"Since your lips are too busy doing other things I'll just take the apology I wanted," Batista said taking my hand in his.
"Now that I have your attention, Undertaker. I'm challenging you to a match for your Heavyweight Championship at the Royal Rumble!" Batista shouted crushing my hand in his.
Batista released my hand a moment later knowing he made an impact. I rubbed my sore hand as Batista waited for an answer.
"Not so fast Batista!" Vickie shouted into the mic. "Theirs still some unfinished business that Edge has with the Undertaker."
Batista turned his head in disgust before the room went dark. I shook my head with a slight smile in the dark knowing Undertaker had an opinion on Batista's challenge and Edge's unfinished business.
~~~~~
I slowly went down on one knee thinking Batista or Edge might try to knock me over in the dark. The lights came back on as the ring remained empty. Edge, Batista, Vickie, and I all held the same state of confusion on our faces. I remained in the same place as Edge and Batista started looking over the ropes of the ring. I looked up to the ramp only seeing the dry ice.
I slowly rose to my feet ad Edge and Batista moved to the outer part of the ring looking under the ring and over near the commentary table. I looked around in each direction thinking I would find him. Vickie slid into the ring looking around more frantic than I was.
"I don't see him," I whispered to myself.
The lights faded this time instead of going all the way out at first. I heard Vickie scream from frustration as the crowd applauded loudly. I let out a high pitched scream as Kane's flames suddenly bursted up through the four turnbuckles. The lights turned back on as I saw Vickie on the ground covering her lead like a tornado drill and Undertaker looming over her.
I looked up to the ramp seeing Kane walk out giving Batista and Edge something to worry about. I looked back to Undertaker seeing him disregard the fact that Vickie was open for the beating. Instead, he was glancing over his shoulder at me.
He walked over to me reaching out and grabbing the hand that Batista crushed in his hand.
"Ouch," I flinched.
Undertaker released my hand afterwards turning to the small battle between Edge, Kane, and Batista. I watched as Undertaker immediately attacked Batista from behind. Undertaker completely overthrew Batista knocking him down. My eyes widened as I heard Batista cry out in pain. Undertaker was breaking the same hand that Batista used to crush mine.
Undertaker released Batista watching him Edge and Vickie crawl back up the ramp. Kane and Undertaker stood together as I remained in the ring watching them retreat. I shook my head knowing next week would be torture knowing Vickie and her comeback schemes.
