I could feel the happiness in me pouring out as Nick and I held out long kiss.
He pulled away and I smiled directly at him. He smiled back and continued to hold my hand.
"You are so confusing." I said shaking my head and smiling.
"What?" He asked tilting his head to the side just slightly.
"I don't know. Maybe it's not you that's confusing. It's just. I heard you say that you don't like me like this, and now you kiss me. Kind of confusing." I said smiling.
"When did I ever say that I didn't like you?" He asked.
"I overheard you talking to Joe on the tour bus in the recording studio and you said 'I don't like Kasey like that.' That's all I heard though." I said.
He thought about it for a minute then he started to laugh.
"What?" I asked.
"You heard me wrong." He said.
"That's what you said though." I said confused. He shook his head.
"Joe was saying that he had something to tell me about you but he couldn't tell me. I told him whatever and he said 'Well I guess you don't like Kasey like that seeing as you don't care what I have to say.' Then I said 'What do you mean I don't like Kasey like that? Of course I like Kasey like that.' And you only heard the middle part of that." He said.
I smiled and dropped my head into my lap.
"This whole thing could have been way easier and way less confusing if you would have just told me that!" I said.
I sat up giggling and Nick just stared at me.
"I wanted to say something but I didn't know if you liked me either. I thought that you didn't like me and me kissing you right now was just a sudden impulse so that I could figure out if you liked me or not." He said.
I smiled and looked at my hands that were gently placed in Nick's.
"Well I'm glad you did." I said smiling.
"I'm glad I did too." He said smiling back at me.
Joe and Kevin came out of the apartment and Nick and I let go of each other's hands.
"Man your apartment is awesome." Kevin said.
Joe sat next to me and smiled.
"You going to be ok?" He asked. I knew he was talking about Teena so I nodded my head and smiled.
"Are YOU going to be ok?" I asked making him laugh.
"Yeah." He said chuckling.
Nick gave the guys a look and Joe and Kevin went to the car. Nick smiled at me and grabbed my hands again.
He leaned in and kissed me again. I could feel my heart pounding faster than ever and my hands start to clam up, but I didn't care.
I didn't care because the one guy that I had been waiting to kiss forever now was sitting right here with me, hands in mine and lips pressed together.
I couldn't have been any happier than this moment right here.
