Better Intentions[Frank Iero]
Chapter 1 : Better Intentions[Frank Iero]
'kay, I've spent a little more time writing this than I have my other story. I'm hoping it turns out a little better and more people like it. Rate pleaseee. [: Or message me and let me know what you think. Also, the main character in this story, Kelsey(minority1039x80), also happens to be my best friend who is obsessed with Frank. XD You should go read her stuff, too. [:
It was a Saturday morning and time for me to wake up. My alarm hadn't gone off yet, but nonetheless I pulled myself from my comfortable bed. Why was I up so early on a Saturday was nothing short of a mystery. My brother, the one and only Brian Schechter, was coming back from touring today. It'd been six months since I had seen him and I missed him, so I called him up and offered to pick him up at the airport. He'd be busy most of the time he was here, in L.A., but I figured he could still pencil his little sister in somewhere. I had heard tell that he was bringing one of the bands he managed on tour with him. The ass wouldn't tell me which band, though I'd find out soon enough. There wasn't a lot of time before Brian's plane was supposed to land, so I threw on some clothes, hopped in my car and drove off to the air port.
When I reached the airport parking lot, it seemed to have taken forever to find a place to, well...park. I had no patience whatsoever and didn't intend on spending so much time finding a space to leave my car -- my shitty old car. No, really, I could have left the thing in a chop-shop and come back to find the thing completely intact. It wasn't the only piece of crap in my life, though. No, there was also my job and my apartment. It was another week before I was to be kicked out of my apartment and on top of that, my boss had given me my two weeks notice a week and a half ago. I wasn't about to let that bring me down today, though. Finally, after I'd found a parking space and ran off toward the airport, I was in the lobby, waiting for my brother.
Not more than ten minutes later, his plane landed and he was walking through the gate. I spotted him immediately. He hadn't changed a bit since I had last seen him. He was still covered in tattoos; still had that goofy hairstyle, and that nose ring. There was, however, one thing different about him: he had pierced his lip. Right in the center, too. Knowing Brian, one of the members of a band he managed had talked him into getting it done. Being lost in my thoughts, I hadn't noticed him running toward me and engulfing my small frame in his muscular arms. That brought me back to reality. I smiled, and hugged him back.
"Brian, I missed you!" I cried. I was no longer the 20 year old woman I was before. My inner and slightly immature child had come out to greet her brother.
"Kelsey, I missed you, too! I mean, look at you, you haven't changed a bit," Brian said. His inner child had been dragged from inside his body, too. "Now, there's a few people I want you to meet! We just have to wait for them to get their slow butts off the plane."
"Will you finally tell me what band it is?" I begged. He just shook his head and pointed at the gate exit.
A tall man with dark, messy hair emerged from the gates being followed by a shorter man, with shaggy brown hair and who'd have guessed, a lip ring. I didn't have to look at the other men to realize that Brian had brought with him none other than the band My Chemical Romance. Now, if you know who they are, I don't think I have to further describe them, anyway.
"Hey, Brian, is this your infamous sister Kelsey you've been telling us about?" The tall one with black hair said. That one was Gerard Way, if you haven't already guessed.
I nodded shyly as Gerard held out a hand for me to shake. We shook hands, then he smiled and began introducing everyone.
"I'm Gerard, that's Frank," he said pointing at the shorter man next to him. "The one with curly hair is Ray, the stringy one is Mikey, my brother."
"HEY, I'm not stringy." Mikey protested.
"Yes you are, now be quiet," Gerard said while laughing. "And that guy over there is Bob."
I couldn't help but laugh a little as I waved at each of them. Wow, I was really meeting My Chemical Romance! I really owe Brian for bringing them along. I knew he didn't bring them along just for me, but I also knew that he didn't have to let me meet them at all. The guys all waved back, but one greeting in particular stood out -- Frank’s. He had looked at the floor shyly, then back up to look at me, twisting his mouth into a crooked smile.
"Hey, Kelsey, so...uh, your Brian's sister?" Frank questioned.
Uh, well, duh Frank.
"Yeah, he's mah big brother," I said looking up at Brian, while he in turn propped his elbow on my head and began a casual conversation with Gerard, Ray, and Mikey. Frank laughed at this and got quiet again, almost like he was shy. I doubted he was, though, because if you've ever heard of him, you'd have heard he's quite the flirt, probably a big player. I wasn't about to fall for his act.
"You ever go on tours or anything with him?" he asked, perking his face up and looking me in the eye. He almost made it seem like he was really interested.
"Well, not really, Brian doesn't think I can handle tours or anything. Which is totally the opposite," I said jokingly, raising my voice to make sure Brian heard me.
"Okay, Kelsey, if you think you can handle it, then come with me on the next tour," Brian said, challenging me to go. Now, I wasn't one to turn that kind of thing down... What did I have to lose? No, really, what did I have to lose?
"Fine, I know I can handle it and I'm going to take you up on that offer." Brian began laughing at me and I turned to Frank and said, "Well, Frank, I guess I do now."
I smiled and laughed.
"Sweet," Frank said in a low, barely audible voice. It was almost cute.
After a bit more talking, Brian had ushered everyone to the baggage claim, and from there we all went to the parking lot so the boys in the band could all be shoved into my tiny, crappy car.
Wow, just like that? I was going on tour to help my big brother?
