“The sunrise is always so pretty…” I sigh in content. “So what did you bring me out here for?”
“Huh? Don’t usually couples go out to watch the sunrise?”
“That’s true but I thought you might want to say something important.”
“Sheesh, a guy can’t even take the girl he loves to go see the sunrise without nagging-“
“You love me?” I ask dumbfounded blushing wildly my heart starting to speed up.
“Yeah, why wouldn’t I?” Aoi said casually.
A few seconds passed.
Aoi eyes widened and he started blushing. “Wait…it’s not what you think, well actually yeah it is, but don’t get freaked out or anything…”
“I love you too.”
“Eh…?”
I blink. How clueless can this guy get? “I said, I love you too.”
“Really?”
I nod.
“For reals?”
I nod again.
“Pinky swear.” He said seriously and I laugh.
“Pinky swear?” I said between laughs.
“Because you’re my first love…I don’t want you to say I love you without really meaning it…I need proof.”
I felt my heart warm at that and I wrap my pinky around his. “I love you.”
Aoi smiled spontaneously.
I love you, I haven’t heard him say that me in a while…
“Aoi?” I call and jump into his arms. “Aoi!”
“Akane> Is it really you?” Aoi asks in disbelief.
“People can change in 2 years.”
“I’ll say.” Aoi pulled me into a tight embrace.
Laying in your arms, the feelings I had forgotten, suddenly come back to me
“I love you.” He said with some bashfulness in his voice.
Which I found wonderful.
The first time we both said I love you, wasn’t it wonderful?
