Blog?

Well, I guess you could call this a music blog... somewhat.
Anyway, I just feel like talking about other people's taste in music. I'm sure I'll get a bunch of people arguing about this, but whatever.

First of all, what happened? When did Fall Out Boy,and Panic at the Disco take over alternative music? I'm not saying they're absolutely horrible and nobody should listen to them (my best friend is obsessed with PATD), but people need to explore more music. People focus way too much on mainstream music, and they need some indie!!!!
I oftenread the reviews on iTunes. If I see a review by someone named "princess_cupcake_sparkle" or something like that, then it makes it seem like they're pop-loving 10 year olds who want to look cool by listening to what they think is rock music. I clicked on a girl's name who reviewed a FOB album. They also reviewed PATD (of course), Aly & AJ (hmmm?), and Hilary Duff (HMMM?). But the thing that really bugs me is that they say things like "OMFG THEIR LYK DA BEST BAND IN DA WORLD!!!!!!!" in their reviews. Have they ever listened to anything else?

Personally, I love indie rock, and indie electronic. I guess I just love indie! My favorite indie rock/elecronicbands/artists (at the moment) areHot Chip, The Raveonettes, The Moldy Peaches, Tapes n' Tapes, Neutral Milk Hotel, !!!, and Cut Copy.AND 90's rock & grunge is awesome. I love Nirvanaand Bikini Kill.

So,I'm not sayingeverything mainstream is bad, I just think people need to hear some different music!!!
