You groaned as the sunlight that filtered through your window shone brightly on you, creeping under your eyelids causing you to stir in your sleep. You stretched your arms and legs out in all directions while you laid in bed, eyes still closed. It felt like you had just fallen asleep and you were already awake once more. Lets just say, that you've had better nights.

You slung your legs over the bed and yawned loudly as you rubbed your eyes tiredly. Anxious for some fresh early summer air, you slid the window open, thinking about the event last night involving the open window, you made a mental note to close the window in awhile so you wouldn't forget again.

As you were turning around you noticed something that made your heart skip a beat. You stuck your head out the screen-less window followed by the rest of your body. You carefully walked out onto the fire escape and picked up the little scrap of clothing that clung to a piece of metal. You rolled the silky fabric over in your hand several times as you listened to your heart as it threatened to jump out of your chest.

What was this little scrap of what looked like a piece os someone's shirt, doing on the fire escape outside your window? You crawled back in through the small window and immediately locked it behind you. You kept the fabric clenched tightly in your fist, it seemed so familiar but you couldn't remember where you had seen it. Or whom, you had seen it on for that matter.

You were feeling a bit paranoid as you walked into your kitchen, but then again you thought you had a right to feel that way. Someone may have been sitting outside your window watching you all night, and any sane person would find that slightly creepy.

You tucked the light blue fabric into your pocket and proceeded to grab a bowl out of the refrigerator. You poured a bowl of your favorite cereal into the awaiting bowl and topped it off with a little milk. As you were eating you sifted through yesterdays mail, nothing but junk mail. You sat your bowl down in the sink gently and tossed the old mail into a nearby trash can.

Today was one of your few days off from the cafe' that was just a few blocks from where you lived. A casual walk through the city park always seemed to calm your nerves, it was the best medicine for frazzled nerves. You hadn't bothered to check the weather report for your area before you walked out the door and you later regretted it.

By the time you had reached the park dark clouds had gathered over the city. You sighed and shrugged your shoulders uselessly, if you got wet than you got wet. No big deal. You sunk your hands deep into your pockets as you strolled along a windy stone path. You played with the fabric, you found earlier, mindlessly. You pulled it out and studied it closer, no longer paying attention to where you were going.

"Hey!" Someone yelled in surprise as you ran into them, stumbling back.

"Sorry, I guess I wasn't-" You stopped mid-sentence when the stranger turned around, revealing that he was not a stranger after all. "........paying attention." You finished quietly.

"I can see that." Seth mused as he gave you a small smirk, "Just can't seem to stay away huh?" He asked playfully in reference to your many meetings in a short period of time.

You cocked to your head to the side as you studied him closely, you raised the fabric up and gazed at Seth and the fabric. You thought you saw a flicker of something in his eyes. You gasped a little, "This is a piece of your shirt. Well........the one you were wearing yesterday."

"Is it now? That's interesting." Seth said as he crossed his arms as he too analyzed it quizzically.

You took a small step back, "What is a scrap of your shirt doing on my fire escape? Have you been following me or something?"

Seth smiled at you showing his full set of perfectly white teeth, "Maybe you're the one who has been following me."

You gaped at him and crossed your arms," And just how is that possible, do explain?" Rain drops had began to lightly fall as you two continued arguing about who has been watching who.

"You could have just as easily ripped a piece of my shirt off, as I could have gotten it caught on something. Might I add, you're the one who ran into me." Seth laughed, knowing he was right. You shook your head at him but didn't bother to argue, there would be no point in that. You had to admit, he could put up quite the argument. You weren't sure if you should be impressed or frightened by that fact. "Walk with me?"
