Summer Lovin' & Havin' No Cares..Yeah Right.

As they walked away I started to get up from behind the car when I heard another voice, right next to me. I practically jumped ten feet in the air and in the process hit my head on the outside mirror on the car. "Ouuuch!" I turned around quickly rubbing my sore head glaring at yet another gorgeous boy. Grrreat. He probably is friends with that ass Matt. Oh what a joy.
"Who the hell are you and what are you doing sneaking up on people randomly like that?" I asked more like demanded.
"Hello. My name'sKayden, KaydenAndersonand I just so happened to be walking by and I just happened to see you crouching behind the car so I became curious as to who you were and decided to find out." He said cool as a cucumber.
"Well, my name'sEmma and I just so happened to be sp-I mean listening in on one of my friend's conversations as she gave me to the spawn of satan."
"And who is thee said spawn of satan you are referring to?"
"Matt..I don't really know his last name. But he is a pain in my ass and I have only known him for like an hour."
"Oh you mean Matt Lathanial. He seems to leave a big impression on most people." As he said this he chuckled.
"Let me guess, you are like one of his best friends. And you will probably tell him all I just said about him and then he'll torture me even more."
"Well I have known him for a long time but since you are such a pretty lady I don't think I'll tell him anything..just yet."
"Oh great. Just wonderful. You are another sexy yet arrogant asshole. Well I think I'll be seeing you, Kayden."
"Wait a minute, I'm not anything of those things. I mean wait..did you just say I'm sexy? You think I'm sexy?"
"No I don't. I was just stating that you think you're sexy."
"It's okay if you do. I won't be offended, I promise."
"I do not think you are sexy. At all and I don't know if you can say you're not a cocky arrogant asshole since after that last statement I don't have much to go on to say that you're not ANY of those things."
"Well how about I make if up to you. What are you doing later tonight?"
"I'm going over to Matt's, unfortunately, so he can "keep me company" which I never agreed on and all he's going to do is torture me. He'll probably try to rape me...Oh god..I'm too young to be raped!!!"
"That sounds..interesting..how about I'll come over to Matt's and that way he can't torture you while I'm around. That way I can show you I'm not what you think I am. Sound like a deal?"
I looked at him. He looked pretty convincing and he was really, really attractive. Plus he seemed nice enough.So I guess I can give him another chance, right? "Okay sounds good. Be there. 7 o'clock and do not be late." Okay now I sound like an over-obsessive girlfriend..creepy.
"That totally came out weird." I said with a cringe.
"Naah. It's ok, I think it's kinda cute that you don't want to be left alone with big, bad Matt."
"He is not all that bad just big and tall and just well..Matt."
"Right. I guess I'll see you at 7 then."
"Alrighty. Wait you cannot say that you "just guess you'll see me then". You have to be there...I mean I'll be fine if you're late and if you don't show up. Just be prepared to call the cops for me after I murder him."
"Sounds like a plan." And with that he walked away. Well I do sayKayden isn't too shabby, he's quite attractive. Very attractive indeed and he sounds like a good guy, for the most part. After that conversation I looked around trying to find where Katie had gone off to. Oh look..there she is standing right by my car, how convienent.
"Hey Katie, you ready to go?" I said as I awesomely flung out my car keys and then just as cooly dropped them on the ground. I quickly dropped down and picked them up swiftly making sure that no one else had seen my "smooth move".
"Yeah ready whenever you are. Oh and by the way tonight, I hope you won't mind, but I planned for you to go over to Matt's house while I'm with Travis so he can keep you company."
"Oh? Well that will be just dandy." I said through clenched teeth.
"Right. Are you okay with this?" Katie asked this wearily. At this question I thought ofKayden coming over, which didn't sound too bad, I actually felt excited. Maybe tonight wouldn't be too bad after all.
"Yeah I'll be fine. It sounds like fun, really." I said this with a genuine smile for as I kept thinking about Kayden, I kept getting butterflies in my stomach. What a strange feeling.
